Olmo to score a system pick for me at 3.3. Torres tempting at exchange prices but I'll swerve (I'm sure my "swerves" are among the most profitable tips posted on here).
Been a mixed bag for card totals in this tournament but I've done ok when I've had a go; Costa Rica can be a little on the agricultural side, had the small amount allowed by PP on them getting >2.5 cards at 13/8 and >3.5 at 9/2 with a side order of one in the 1st 15 minutes at 6/1 with Hills (in case they want to put a marker down against their young and skilful opponents).

Ok, been round the firms looking at what's available and here's my current position in terms of antepost bets.
Neymar top goalscorer at 12/1 with Lads - just using up a free bet. You'd get better odds now. Raphina top goalscorer e/w at 80/1 with Lads - saw him tipped at 40/1 so was happy to take double those odds (66/1 with a boost applied) >2.5 hat tricks scored at 10/1 with Betway - posted with rationale yesterday. As well as PP going evens for the same bet Hills are now up at 10/11. >2.5 matches to go to penalties at 13/10 with Uni Bet - added this today. Landed in 4 of the last 6 World Cups (since it expanded to current format) and both of the last 2 Euros. 4-5 matches to go to penalties at 11/2 with Sky Bet and 6/1 Lads - Added the top up at 6s today. Landed in 3 of the last 6 World Cups and the last 2 Euros 6+ matches to go to penalties at 28/1 with Sky Bet and 35/1 Lads - Again, topped up today. More of a cover bet for the 4-5 bet but still, I think, more likely than the odds imply. 8+ own goals scored at 12/5 with 365 and 13/5 with Lads - Covered in a post above. I've seen 8/13 for <8.5 today so there's definitely value to be had one way or the other. 2-3 goals scored in extra time at 21/10 with Lads - Saw this today. Always the risk of going "bust" on a mid-band bet but I just think the price is too big. Landed in 4 of the last 6 World Cups. Went under once when none scored and went over with an 8 when a couple of games had 3 goals in extra time. Small stake as I'd rather be on it than wrong than swerve it and be right! 4/7 in a couple of places for >3.5 games going to extra time still seems like a great bet (landed in all of the last 6 World Cups). If you want bigger odds then there's 23/20 available for 4-5 matches (landed in 4 out of 6) and 7/2 for 6+ (landed in the other 2) but I can't get away from the fact that dutching those two prices gives you less than the 4/7 for >3.5!
In the absence of a sudden burst of decisiveness I may just settle with the penalties bets listed above and bet on the draw on a game by game basis, which tends to prove profitable.

    Chelsea vs RB Salzburg
The Champions League group stage games continue with their second round schedules on Wednesday night. Next up, we have the 8pm BST kick-off between Premier League club Chelsea and Austrian Bundesliga side RB Salzburg from Stamford Bridge. Both of these teams dropped points in their opening group stage game so the importance on getting a win could not be overstated.
Chelsea begin another new era in this game with newly appointed manager Graham Potter taking charge of his first game at the club. The Blues took the controversial decision to sack Thomas Tuchel after their surprise 1-0 loss away to Dinamo Zagreb last week. The move to bring in Potter has happened swiftly and with Premier League matches postponed over the weekend due to the death of Her Majesty the Queen this will be his first outing in the dugout. Potter will have to deal with being without the key duo of N'Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy. It is just 1 clean sheet in 7 matches for Chelsea this season so far and it'll be interesting to see if Potter addresses the defensive issues that ultimately cost Tuchel his job. Chelses are unbeaten at home this season and have scored 2 goals in each of their home matches this campaign.
RB Salzburg remain a team that seem to unearth gems from across the globe. The likes of Sadio Mane, Naby Keita, Patson Daka, Karim Adeyemi, and Erling Haaland have all donned the red bull colours. This current crop of players are also proving worthy of following in their footsteps. Head coach Matthias Jaissle has openly admitted his scouting team have had to do some digging to prepare for a Chelsea team under Potter by studying Potter's work at Brighton. Salzburg themselves have had a positive start to the season but it's not been flawless. League form has delivered 7 wins from 8 league games but they did suffer a 2-1 loss away to Sturm Graz earlier in the campaign. The team were also held to a 1-1 draw at home to AC Milan in their opening group game in this competition. The attacking qualities of Fernando, Benjamin Sesko, and Noah Okafor amongst others make this Salzburg team one that you can never write off.
The fact that RB Salzburg have scored in each of their competitive matches so far this season and that both teams have scored in Chelsea's last 6 home matches played suggests we should see goals here. Let's be honest, it's very tough to work out how Potter will set up with this Chelsea team. He's barely had a week with the players, he's got influential players missing, and it's uncertain if his methods that he used at Brighton will work with this group. RB Salzburg could rightly be smelling blood here. I know it's unlikely but for the price being offered I think backing RB Salzburg to get something here is certainly worth taking a chance on.

    Luton vs Huddersfield
Two of this season's over-achievers in the Championship will go toe-to-toe in the play-off semi-final first leg when Luton play Huddersfield in a 7:45pm BST kick-off on Friday night from Kenilworth Road. Neither of these two teams spent a great deal of money on their squads last summer and both were tipped by many to struggle. Now, they potentially stand three games away from the Premier League.
Luton are aiming to make a return to the top flight of English football for the first time since 1992 and the fact they have defied the odds to finish the season in 6th place and reach the play-offs is an incredible feat mainly engineered by manager Nathan Jones and his backroom staff. A very limited budget and the team being non-league as recently as 2014 has made this a real fairytale story. The Hatters ended their league campaign in decent form with just 1 loss from their last 5 league games. Home form has been solid for Luton this season with the team losing just 1 of their last 13 home league games. They have also conceded just 1 goal in their previous 3 league games at home is also an impressive feat.
Huddersfield might have been a Premier League team recently having been relegated only back in 2018/19 but their financial situation and general stability in the Championship has been uncertain over the past couple of seasons. Head coach Carlos Corberan just about kept the team in the second tier last season but he maintained the support of the majority of Terriers fans for his playing style and managerial approach. The faith that chairman Phil Hodgkinson kept in the Spaniard has been rewarded with the team finishing in 3rd position in the league. The team ended the season strongly going their last 7 league games undefeated including delivering 6 victories. It also included winning their last 3 away league matches.
This will be a riveting first leg game with both teams knowing a strong advantage could be gained from winning this one. Three of the last four meetings between these two clubs have ended in a draw and the manner in which they both ended the season suggests it'll be hard to separate them here. Huddersfield are unbeaten in 4 of their last 5 visits to this venue but Luton will have a raucous home crowd behind them. I have to back a low-scoring draw.

    Juventus vs Inter
Juventus will be hoping for a repeat of their last result, following a 2:0 Serie A success vs Salernitana. It was their fourth straight win that brought them only a point away from their upcoming rival. Massimiliano Allegri's Juventus have hit the back of the net ten times in their last six outings. On the other end, the tally of goals they conceded in those games amounts to 6. Juventus is seven points behind the top-placed Milan, and another win in a row would keep their title dreams alive. Regarding the availability issues, Luca Pellegrini will not be able to play in this game through being suspended.
Inter drew 1:1 in the Serie A tie with Fiorentina in their last fixture. Nerazzurri slipped from the top spot after winning just once on the previous seven occasions. They are now third, being six points behind their arch-rivals Milan. A sequence of outstanding displays by the Inter defensive players has resulted in the number of goals they’ve conceded standing at two from their last six fixtures in total. During the same period of time, their forwards have scored 8. From a largely available group, there is only a single fitness issue for the Inter manager Simone Inzaghi to be concerned about. Stefan de Vrij (Calf Injury) misses out for this game.
    Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction
Juventus is in better form, but Inter cannot allow themselves another defeat. It is going to be a tough battle that can go either way, and we won’t be surprised if this match ends in a draw.
    Goals Market Prediction
Their recent head-to-head matches have been pretty productive, and BTTS Yes cashed four times on the previous five occasions. This one could follow the same pattern, and we don’t believe either side will manage to keep the clean sheet.

French side Rennes host Leicester City the second time in the Europa League round 16.

    Rennes
With the first leg ending in favour of the visitors. Rennes will have a mentain their fine run, if they must make it past this round, as Leicester City have proven a better side than the host. Although the host saw of Lyon 4-2 over the weekend in Ligue1 outing. A win that boosted the morale of the host in this encounter. With their squad intact and no recent injury concern.

    Leicester City
Leicester City failed the last time out against an inform Arsenal team in the English Premier League over the weekend, losing 2 nil to the Gunner's. After a fine performance in the first leg of the Europa League Leicester will be hopeful to make it past this stage as they have a 2 goal advantage over their counterpart. They have no recent injury concern for this encounter and having progress pass this stage in previous years. They should be motivated to do same over Rennes.

    Verdict
The visitors here have a two goals advantage over their opponent which should give them the boost they need to make it into the next round.

    Newcastle United vs Everton
Newcastle United will be looking for another victory after the 1:0 triumph over Leeds United in the Premier League latest round. The hosts sit in the relegation zone, but they are just a point behind Norwich. However, it is a rarity lately that Newcastle United failed to concede goals. In fact, Newcastle United has been unable to prevent their opponents from scoring in five of their previous six matches, conceding ten away goals. Nevertheless, the Magpies haven't tasted a defeat three times in a row, which raises the optimism in the squad. Isaac Hayden (Knee Surgery), Joelinton (Groin Injury), Jamaal Lascelles (Hamstring Injury), Federico Fernández (Thigh Problems), and Callum Wilson (Calf Injury) are not available for Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe.
Everton will enter the match after beating Brentford 4:1 in their latest game in the FA Cup. However, their Premier League form has been terrible lately. The Toffees remained undefeated just once on the previous five occasions. As a result, they slipped to 16th place, being just four points ahead of their next opponents. Statistics do not lie, Everton have scored in each of their last six matches, but their opponents have scored a total of 10 goals. Everton obviously has severe defensive problems. However, Everton appointed Frank Lampard as a coach and signed two important players, Van De Beek and Dele Alli, to help them in the relegation battle. Due to a mostly healthy squad, there's just one fitness problem for the Everton gaffer Frank Lampard to be concerned with. Fabian Delph (Unknown Injury) won't be in action.
    Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction
Neither team has been impressive lately, and it will be a tough battle. Newcastle booked just one win at home, while Everton lost in six of its ten outings this season. We think a draw might be the fairest outcome in this match, and we'll go for it.
    Goals Market Prediction
BTTS Yes cashes in five of their previous six head-to-head clashes, and we might see a similar scenario on Tuesday evening. Both teams have defensive issues, and we doubt they'll manage to keep the clean sheet.

    Burnley vs Brentford
The 3pm BST kick-offs on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League offer up some interesting matches. One of those is the clash between struggling Burnley and newly promoted Brentford at Turf Moor. These two sides have met a number of times lower down the leagues but now they are both in the top flight doing battle. Who will prevail victorious in this fight between the north and the south?
Burnley continue to find it hard picking up that first league win of the season this time around. Sean Dyche's men are in 18th place on just 4 points after 9 matches played. The team are now 3 points adrift of safety and still without a victory in the league. The 1-0 loss to Tottenham in midweek in the EFL Cup knocked them out of the cup competition that had provided them with their only taste of winning this season so that won't have improved morale. It is now 12 points dropped from winning positions for Burnley this season so it feels that all they need to do is work harder at holding onto those leads. Failure to win here would set an infamous club record of 13 Premier League games in a row without a win. It's also now 6 home league games against newly promoted teams without a victory. The stats generally do not read in favour of the home team here.
Brentford might well be performing far better than their hosts so far this season but there are some big issues for the Bees coming into this game. Thomas Frank's side are 12th in the table but have lost back-to-back league games. The West Londoners will also be without their regular number one keeper in David Raya after he was ruled out for 5 months with a knee injury last weekend. Back-up keeper Alvaro Fernandez is likely to deputise but how will that impact on the Brentford back-line? Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo are also minor doubts for this game which would be a big double blow if neither can start. History does beckon for Brentford though. They could become the first newly promoted team since Hull back in 2008 to go unbeaten for their first 5 away league games in the top flight. Victory would also see Brentford win three away league matches in the top flight for the first time in their existence. In fact, Brentford are unbeaten in their last 10 away league games stretching back into last season.
This is set to be the first meeting between these two sides in the top flight. It's the 31st meeting between the two clubs but only the 5th time they will have played each other in the 21st century. Burnley have won the last four encounters across all competitions so momentum is very much with them. Brentford haven't tasted victory at Turf Moor since 1996. This is a finely balanced game but I'm worried how Brentford will adapt to life without Raya. It feels like Burnley have a win coming soon and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens here.

    Brentford vs Chelsea
The 5:30pm BST kick-off on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League is the game between newly promoted Brentford and current league leaders Chelsea at the Brentford Community Stadium. This all-London fixture is a proper David versus Goliath affair but with the home team already taking the scalp of Arsenal this season it's by no means a guaranteed win for the in-form away side.
Brentford have been a breath of fresh air for the top flight of English football this season. It's been just 1 loss from their opening 7 league games this season. Thomas Frank's team might have only earned promotion through the Championship play-offs but they are the best-performing newly promoted team in 7th place in the table. The Bees boast an incredible historical record against league leaders in the top flight having won 7 of their last 9 matches against such teams. However, this is the first time they will play league leaders in the top division since 1947. The team has been behind in league games for just 25 minutes this season. One player to watch will be Yoane Wissa rather than Ivan Toney. The French attacker (how do Brentford repeatedly find these players?!) has scored 5 goals in 6 appearances for the club so far averaging a goal every 47 minutes this season.
Chelsea might well be top of the table and the reigning Champions League winners but they'll be fully aware of the challenge that awaits them in this game. The Blues will be without Antonio Rudiger and Christian Pulisic with Hakim Ziyech potentially absent too but they will welcome back Reece James and N'Golo Kante. Romelu Lukaku missed the UEFA Nations League 3rd place play-off against Italy due to a muscle niggle but he is set to start this game. Thomas Tuchel's side could become the first team in the top four English divisions to win 7 straight London derbies on the road. However, they have dropped in 3 of their last 4 league games against newly promoted sides. Starting games fast has become a trademark of their season with the club scoring 7 goals in the first half of league games this season.
You know I am usually a big fan of backing the underdog for these sort of games but I feel this Chelsea side is more clinical and ruthless than many we have witnessed over recent years. Brentford may well provide stern opposition but I think the away win is on the cards. Brentford haven't beaten Chelsea since 1939 and I can see that run continuing with a solid away win for the league leaders who will consolidate their spot at the top of the table.

    Switzerland vs Northern Ireland
The 2022 World Cup qualification games continue to come at us thick and fast in the UEFA section with this 7:45pm BST kick-off on Saturday evening between Group C rivals Switzerland and Northern Ireland. It's looking like Italy have got the automatic qualification spot wrapped up but the 2nd placed play-off position is wide open and could go some way to being decided in this game.
Switzerland might have had a 2020 European Championship to remember with their run to the Quarter-Finals that saw them knock out reigning World Cup champions France in the 2nd Round but it's been a big bump back down to reality for Murat Yakin's men as a new regime has started. The Red Crosses are in 2nd place in this group but only ahead of 3rd placed Northern Ireland due to a superior goal difference. 0-0 draws with Italy and Northern Ireland have stunted what had appeared to be a very encouraging start to their campaign but those dropped points have now seen Italy move clear at the top of the group with Northern Ireland and Bulgaria now hot on the Swiss heels. In fact, 4 of the last 5 Switzerland games being draws shows that there is a certain level of conservatism and caution present within their play and it could be doing them more harm than good.
Northern Ireland have arguably had a qualification campaign so far that can be labelled as par for the course. Head coach Ian Baraclough saw his team lose their opening game 2-0 away to European champions Italy before a 0-0 draw at home with Bulgaria was followed by a dominant 4-1 win away to Lithuania and then a 0-0 draw at home with Switzerland. Back-to-back clean sheets against Estonia and Switzerland has given the Northern Irish back-line a degree of confidence heading into this game but it'll be a tough one. Northern Ireland have won 3 of their last 4 away games so they seem to have an understanding of how to best approach these games on the road. It's also been 4 clean sheets in the last 6 matches with just 2 goals being conceded during that period as well.
I think we all know how this game is going to be played out. Switzerland are going to want to take the game to Northern Ireland with the visiting side keen to try and absorb the pressure and look to hit a smash and grab job. I'm not sure I can see a Northern Ireland win here but the only way Switzerland are going to get a victory from this is if they show a little bit more endeavour and invention than they have in the majority of their recent games. They were unlucky to draw 0-0 with Italy when they really should have won that game but football isn't a game of what ifs. I think a narrow Swiss win is still worth backing and it'll probably come with a clean sheet.

    Manchester United vs Aston Villa
As a United fan, this game will have my full attention tomorrow morning.  United are massive favorites in this one, and very overpriced, imo, but we are going to pick a few winning bets here.  I honestly love the way United has played this year.  They swarm to the ball, they pressure the opponents, they are confident with the ball.  Varane and Maguire are a top pairing at CB both full of confidence, Shaw and AWB are terrific fullbacks.  Pogba has been terrific, Fernandes is one of the best players in the league, and the addition of Ronaldo has fit like a key in a lock.  But, I simply cannot see paying this kid of price on a handicap to win.  Villa has a very very good side, not to be underrated.  That midfield is terrific even without Grealish, and surely Bailey will be a miss, but Ings and Watkins are always dangerous on the attack.  United needed a pk save at near the death to save the win last weekend vs West Ham.  They always seem to let out a goal, be it flukey or on the counter.  But United always have goals in them too.
My plays will simply be on the goals line.
o2.5 -145, o2.75 -118 both for 1 unit.  I think United get at least 2 goals here, but their team total line is too juiced.
United 3-1 final score at 10/1.  Put a small punt in on this one.
Ronaldo any time goal scorer -130.  Ehhh, this is not a great bet to be honest, however, Ronaldo has been in top form all season and he'll get plenty of chances.  He honestly should have had 2 pks in the last game he played, so I'll pay the juice here.
Fred to be carded +225.  This one is kind of a no-brainer.  McTomminay is more than likely out, Matic just played midweek so probably will not be in the team, and Villa's mf is pretty solid.  Fred will be running all over the place and he's seemingly always jumping in late.  AWB is another good bet for card at +300 but he is not nearly as reckless as Fred.
Think that's it.  Lots of bets, will be up early here to watch.  g'luck

Now they will be play today against a weak Newcastle Side. Wilson are out, so Saint Maximin alone with Joelinton in Front - think that can be work good. Joelinton not that Typ of Striker that Saint Maximin needs to play good.
Also with massive Defensive Players miss for this Game - Newcastle will park the Bus. Think that they can made this good, because they have whole Season trouble with Injury´s. But without Wilson i can´t see them Score today.

    Chelsea vs Newcastle
The final game of the weekend in the Premier League is an 8pm GMT kick-off on Monday night between Champions League chasing Chelsea and a lower mid-table Newcastle side at Stamford Bridge. The new manager bounce certainly appears to be working for the home team but will they come unstuck against a visiting side that are starting to pick up the odd win again.
Chelsea remain unbeaten under new head coach Thomas Tuchel. It's now 5 matches in all competitions without defeat and that is a run of results that includes 4 clean sheets. The former Borussia Dortmund and PSG gaffer is building his philosophy on a tight back-line and it's helped to move the club up to 5th in the table and just 1 point off the pace of the top four with a game in hand on the teams above them. The Blues have won 3 away league games on the bounce and they have also won 18 of their last 25 home league games against Newcastle.
Newcastle were looking to be in a state of freefall but a couple of wins in their last 3 league matches have helped to steady the ship slightly. The Magpies are still down in 17th place but 7 points clear of the relegation zone. Steve Bruce has managed to get his team to start scoring again with 6 goals coming in their last 3 league games. Callum Wilson being ruled out for up to 8 weeks could halt that though. Playing on a Monday isn't something Newcastle do very well having lost 14 of their 18 Premier League games played on that day.
I can see this being a heavy dose of reality for Newcastle. Their injury problems mean that Miguel Almiron is the only available player in their squad to have scored more than 1 goal this season. If you want to back Chelsea to win this game with a clean sheet then there's no better time to do so. They look a lot more organised under Tuchel and I'd even take a punt at a correct score of 2-0.

    Brighton vs Aston Villa
The action in the Premier League draws to a close on Saturday evening with a compelling match between Brighton and Aston Villa at 8pm GMT from the Amex Stadium. These two sides might both be in mid-table but they are looking in opposite directions even though there is very little difference in their overall performance levels so far this season. Who will take the spoils?
Brighton are starting to show their full potential in their results over recent weeks. The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last 5 league games with just 1 goal conceded during that spell. It's a run of form that has lifted Graham Potter's men to 15th in the table and 10 points clear of relegation. If they manage to avoid defeat here then it'll be the first time the club have remained undefeated for 6 league games for the first time in the top flight since 1981. There is also an opportunity for the team to equal the club record of 3 home clean sheets in a row in the top flight that was recorded back in 1979. Since Brighton have been starting Robert Sanchez in goal, the Spaniard has conceded a goal every 98 minutes. Only Manchester City's Ederson and Chelsea's Eduoard Mendy have a better goals conceded record.
Aston Villa come into this game as one of the most inconsistent sides in English football right now. Dean Smith's men have won 3 of their last 8 league matches and have alternated winning a game and losing a game for their past 6 league matches. This inconsistency has seen the team restricted to 9th in the table but they remain just 5 points outside the top four. The Villains have built their wins around a solid defence keeping 10 clean sheets in their 11 league victories so far. In fact, it becomes clear how important the defensive displays of Villa have become when you see that they've only earned 1 point from the 9 matches where they have conceded with the exception of the 7-2 win over reigning champions Liverpool.
I'm fascinated to see how this game unfolds. I've enjoyed watching both Brighton and Aston Villa this season. I don't think there is realistically 6 league places and 10 points separating these two teams, no matter what the league table says. Brighton have only won 1 of their last 8 home matches against Aston Villa and that came way back in 1980. I'm not sure I can split these two teams so a score draw seems a fair assessment.
