The last 32 of the Europa League doesn't start until early next year but I'm getting the thread up now so we can get the chat started. Let me know which teams you feel are the ones to look out for and who you're taking a punt on to go all the way. Tottenham, Manchester United, and (don't laugh) Arsenal are the three favourites with the bookies at the moment. Can we ignore the likes of AC Milan, Leicester, Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, and Real Sociedad though? A lot of teams leading the way in their domestic leagues that should be taken very seriously if you ask me.

Real Sociedad vs Manchester United

After an excellent start of the La Liga campaign, the home side was playing in a variable form. Nevertheless, they are still in the continental competitions zone, and Real Sociedad sits in 5th place. However, Sevilla is now seven points ahead of them, and Imanol Alguacil’s side will hardly finish the season in the top four. Andoni Gorosabel and the lads are pretty tight in the back, and they are among the best defensive teams in the league. The hosts tied two victories in La Liga and expect Manchester United in a good mood. However, they will have to play their home game in Torino due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Real Sociedad secured a place in the knockout round after finishing second in the group against Napoli, AZ Alkmaar, and Rijeka.

Manchester United is still second in the Premier League, but two draws in a row saw them seven points behind Manchester City. They booked only one win in the last five rounds in the domestic championship and lost the pace in the title race. Marcus Rashford and the lads are the most efficient team in the Premier League with 50 goals scored. On the other hand, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would need to tighten their defense slightly. The Red Devils have been excellent on the road this season, and they still haven’t got back home defeated. They are among the hottest favorites for winning Europa League after failing to proceed in the Champions League eight-finals. Manchester United had its faith in its hands but lost to PSG and RB Leipzig in the final two rounds.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

We expect to see a tight clash, especially since the hosts play defensively-solid football. Therefore, we won’t be surprised if this game ends in a draw.

Goals Market Prediction

These two sides faced each other back in 2013, and the crowd saw just one goal in two matches. We don’t think there will be more than two in this clash neither.

Draw @ 3.50

Under 2.5 FT @ 1.90

Correct score 1:1 @ 6.50

Benfica vs Arsenal

Although they were more than ready to challenge the title, Benfica is far from winning the silverware. The Eagles sit in 4th place in Primeira Liga, being 13 points behind their fiercest rivals Sporting. Benfica had some great signings this summer, Jorge Jesus returned to the bench, but they won only once in the last five rounds. The home side spilled some important points at the home ground recently, and they don’t have the right for any more mistakes. Although they are good in the back, Haris Seferovic and the lads should have been more clinical in the final third. Benfica secured a place in the first knockout round without any trouble. However, they finished behind Rangers, although they didn’t suffer a defeat.

Arsenal has been very inconsistent lately, but they celebrated in the latest Premier League round. Mikel Arteta’s side still has a chance to get involved in the continental spots race. Although they are in 10th place, the Gunners are only six points behind Liverpool. However, they need to stabilize their displays if they want to participate in the continental competitions next season. Rob Holding and the lads have been much better defensively compared to the previous season. On the other hand, Pierre Aubameyang and his teammates from the front should have been more clinical in front of the oppositions’ net. Arsenal lost six times on the road this season and twice in a row. The Gunners had a perfect record in the easy group against Molde, Rapid Vienna, and Dundalk.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be a very exciting clash in which both sides have the chance to win. Despite the odds not being in their favor, we believe Benfica could secure the advantage in the first leg.

Goals Market Prediction

Head-to-head matches between these two sides have always been pretty efficient. Neither of the sides managed to keep the clean sheet in their duels. Therefore, we believe the nets won’t remain still in this one.

Benfica to win @ 3.00

BTTS Yes @ 1.65

Correct score 2:1 @ 11.00

Young Boys

In the last round of the league, the youth defeated Lugano 3-1 in the away game and achieved a five-game winning streak in the league. The state is very good, but the team played three consecutive games in the past week and their physical fitness was greatly tested.

Bayer Leverkusen

Leverkusen drew with Mainz 2-2 at home in the last round of the league. The league table has fallen to fifth place and the state is still relatively sluggish. Moreover, the team only ranked a few main challenges in the last German Cup game, and as a result, they failed to advance to lower-level teams, so they should stay for the game.

Verdict:

Although the two sides have played against each other twice, it has been many years ago and it is of little reference value. The Asian handicap live odd is Leverkusen-0.25, which means support the away team. Leverkusen should win this game.

Wolfsberger AC VS Tottenham Hotspur

Pick: Tottenham Hotspur-1.25

With at least half their eyes on the home game of the weekend, Milan could be rigid in the face of relaxed and very confident opponents in the middle of this week. The Red Star's decisive defense has every chance to keep the Italians' attacking talent, maintaining at least one defensive plan and qualifying next week. I will go with the low score.
FK CRVENA ZVEZDA vs AC MILAN @@ +2.50 Under, odds 1.87

After its poor European course in the first half of the Champions League, Olympiacos will be motivated to go deep into this tournament. However, Eindhoven has a lot of quality in the attack, they can score significantly away goals before the second half. I think we have very good offensive lines that can find a goal.
OLYMPIACOS vs PSV EINDHOVEN @@ Both team to score, odds 1.67

Young Boys v Leverkusen: 20 points on Siebatcheu to score at 4.3 on BF

Tipped by someone whose opinion I trust on goalscorer bets (and, more importantly, who is able to hit a cow's arse with a banjo at the moment, unlike myself)! :)

Up front for the hosts and on a par with Leverkusen's Schick according to the spreads but he's much shorter with the fixed odds firms. Apart from Paddy/BF Siebatcheu is 2/1 or less with most firms. Maybe the "truth" lies somewhere in the middle.

:ok Scored twice (brace was backable at 23 on BF had anyone felt a bit more adventurous).

:eyes First corner took an hour to arrive, 3 for the home team and 2 for the away team in the end. Fixed odds bets lost and -17 on the spread bet.
