AC Milan vs Liverpool

Kick Off: 12/07/2021 16:00

AC Milan

AC Milan sit third in the group table with four points. In their latest Champions League game, AC Milan secured a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid. That victory represents Milan's only win of the 2021-22 tournament so far - having lost three and drawn one of their opening four games in Group B - and after seemingly being down and out, the third-placed AC Milan are now just one point behind second-placed Porto. AC Milan had scored two or more goals in three of the past five games.

Liverpool

Liverpool have already secured a spot in the knockout stages and were one of the very first teams to do so this season. They have won all five of their games so far and have guaranteed a top-of-the-table finish. Upon their return to domestic action, Liverpool were bailed out by last-minute hero Divock Origi in the last knockings of a hard-fought 1-0 win over Wolves, which marked the end of their astonishing two-goals-per-game streak.

Prediction

Liverpool have already qualified for the last 16 of the tournament. Jurgen Klopp could therefore take the chance to rotate his squad. And AC Milan need a win on Tuesday to have any hope of qualification. With home advantage, expect the host to be unbeaten at least.

Real Madrid vs Inter Milan

Kick Off: 12/07/2021 13:45

Real Madrid

Real Madrid sit at the top of Group D with 12 points to show from their five matches. Real Madrid beat Inter Milan 1-0 in their first Champions League game before a shock 2-1 home loss to new boys Sheriff Tiraspol. However, Real Madrid bounced back from the defeat superbly, going on to win their next three games. Real Madrid made it eight straight wins in all competitions on Saturday, as they recorded a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad in La Liga, with the result moving them eight points clear at the top of the table.

Inter Milan

Inter Milan sit second place and two points behind their midweek hosts in the group table. Inter Milan went without a win or a goal in their opening two games of the Champions League, losing 1-0 to Real Madrid and playing out a goalless draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. However, they went on a three-game winning run soon after to secure qualification for the knockout stages. Inter Milan made it five wins on the bounce after crushing AS Roma 3-0 in their previous game.

Prediction

Both teams have secured a place in the knockout stages of the tournament. And both teams are in good winning stages now. Tuesday's game should see the hosts pick up a slender victory or at least a draw here.

RB Leipzig vs Manchester City

Kick Off: 12/07/2021 13:45

RB Leipzig

Leipzig gave Brugge a 0-5 victory football class in the last Champions League group match. Bur the German giants failed to win the last three Champions League games at home. Leipzig's fate is doomed because Manchester City and PSG both locked the last-16 spots in the penultimate game - only got 4 out of 15 possible points. Leipzig's domestic league performance is also poor. After losing 2-1 to the Union Berlin on Friday, the team announced that Jesse Marsch had left the club.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola's team beat PSG 2-1 last time out. The Premier League champions have taken 12 points from a possible 15 in Group A, ensuring that they would qualify for the knockout stages as the first place. Manchester City won the last league game 1-3 with Watford - achieved seven consecutive wins in all games - scoring at least two goals in each game. The team have lost only two of the past 20 games in all competitions, which is a perfect record.

Prediction

Even if Manchester City have qualified for the last-16 spots, Guardiola will not allow his man take their foot off. The Premier League champion should win by a narrow margin.

Pick: Manchester City

Final Results: 0-2, 1-2

Milan vs Liverpool

Few people saw Milan in the contest for the Champions League knockout round, but they are back in the game. Rossoneri booked a vital 1:0 victory in Madrid against Atletico in the previous round and are just a point behind the second-placed Porto. Stefano Pioli’s side holds the keys of its fate, and another three points could see them in the Europa League playoffs at least. Milan goes to this game full of confidence after climbing to the Serie A top, thanks to the two straight victories. Theo Hernandez and the lads managed to keep the clean sheet in those matches, and they are one point ahead of Inter. Nevertheless, a tough challenge is ahead of them, but Milan will do its best to secure the top-two finish.

On the other hand, Liverpool has already secured the top spot in Group B. The visitors have the perfect record in the group stage, winning all five games so far. The Reds are in excellent form, as they celebrated five times in a row. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side heads to this game after a hard-fought victory in Wolverhampton, thanks to Divock Origi’s stoppage-time winner. That triumph holds Liverpool just one point behind Manchester City, who leads the Premier League title race. Mo Salah and the lads would like to continue their winning streak, despite having no pressure in this match.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

In the normal circumstances, Liverpool would be a strong favorite in this match, but they can rotate in Milano. On the other hand, Milan will stay in the European cups if they win. Therefore, we’ll go for the home side victory in this match.

Goals Market Prediction

Liverpool has been pretty disciplined in the back lately, allowing just one goal in the previous five matches. Although both teams have a strong attacking potential, we don’t see this game going over a 2.5 margin.

Real Madrid vs Inter

Real Madrid has been on a hot run lately, and they want to keep up where they left off. The latest win against Real Sociedad on the road keeps them firmly on the top of La Liga. Carlo Ancelotti’s side is eight points clear from Sevilla, and they are on the right track to bring back the title. Los Blancos booked eight straight victories, and they missed the chance to win just once on the previous 11 occasions. Karim Benzema will be out due to an injury, but Luka Jovic decently replaced him in the last game. Real Madrid tops the group being two points ahead of their upcoming rivals. They want to finish the campaign in 1st place in the group stage and want to continue the winning streak.

Inter has also been in excellent form, winning five times in a row in all competitions. Inter didn’t win just twice in the previous 11 games across all fronts, and that streak got them back in the Serie A title race. Simone Inzaghi’s side is only a point behind Milan in the Calcio, thanks to a convincing 3:0 victory away to Roma. Samir Handanovic hasn’t conceded four games in a row, and Inter has been very disciplined in the back. On the other hand, the away side has been very productive in front of the oppositions’ net. A victory in Madrid would launch them on the top spot, and they will go for it.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be an exciting clash, and it can go either way. Both teams have played very well lately, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the game finished in a draw.

Goals Market Prediction

Although both teams have been very disciplined in defense recently, they have great attacking potential. The crowd should enjoy an entertaining match and see goals in both nets.

Manchester United

It is surprising that they even play better, getting a four-match unbeaten run, after the dismiss of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They rank the first in Group F and get into next stage. And several of their key players suffer from injuries. They will not try their best in upcoming game.

Young Boys

They are the top team in Swiss Super League. They do not have bench in depth to handle two-fronted attack on Champions League and national League. Now they rank in the bottom of Group F. Obviously they will put more effort on Swiss Super League.

Verdict:

There is a big gap between two sides. Manchester United are absolutely better than Young Boys. Manchester United lose to Young Boys at 2-1 in their last clash. And they have home advantage. It is a chance for Manchester United to make a revenge.

Prediction: 3-0, 3-1

Bayern Munchen vs FC Barcelona

Kick Off: 12/08/2021 16:00

Bayern Munchen

Bayern Munchen are at the top of the Bundesliga standings at the moment and have also topped their Champions League group. They have strolled to all five wins from five matches. Bayern edged arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund to a crucial 3-2 victory in their previous game. No team in the 2021-22 Champions League has scored more goals than Bayern's 19 in the group stages, with the German champions scoring at least two per game and hitting both Dynamo Kiev and Benfica for five at the Allianz Arena already.

FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona have endured a difficult campaign so far as they failed to confirm their second-placed finish in Group E after being held to a goalless stalemate by Benfica on matchday five. As for their domestic league, they have taken 8 points in their last 7 La Liga fixtures and have occupied the 7th position in La Liga. In their previous game, Barcelona suffered 0-1 loss against Real Betis at home.

Prediction

Barcelona have managed to improve some aspects of their game under Xavi but have a mountain to climb this season. Bayern Munich have a few injury concerns at the moment and might not risk a full-strength side in this fixture. With Bayern’s dominant home advantage, Barcelona have few chance to win.

Bayern Munchen to Win

Final Score: 3-1, 3-2

Zenit St. Petersburg vs Chelsea

Kick Off: 12/08/2021 13:45

Zenit St. Petersburg

After the 1-1 draw with basement Club Malmo in the last round of group match, the team got one point and accumulated four points to avoid the bottom position - make sure they are third in the group stage and ready to play in the Europa League. Since the draw in Sweden last month, the Russian giants beat CSKA Moscow 2-0 away, and then drew Rostov FK 2-2 at home last Friday.

Chelsea

Last weekend, Chelsea ended their 12 unbeaten games in various competitions for twice with a one goal lead and finally lost 3-2 to London rivals West Ham United - the blues currently rank 3rd in the league table, two points behind leaders Manchester City. They have accumulated 12 points in five games in group H and won four games with a total score of 10-0. The blues retaliated against the Italian giants last month and won 4-0 at Stamford Bridge, which means that Wednesday's victory will ensure that they are at the top of the group stage.

Prediction

Chelsea have more to do on Wednesday night because their goal is to top the group. Tuchel is likely to send a strong team to the Krestovsky Stadium, which should be strong enough to get three points.

Pick: Chelsea

Final Results: 0-2, 0-3

RB Leipzig vs Manchester City

The final round of Champions League group stage games take place this week. Our action begins at 5:45pm GMT in Group A where we have Bundesliga side RB Leipzig taking on Premier League club Manchester City at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. In terms of reaching the last 16 and seeding this game is already done and dusted but the hosts still need a win to guarantee a place in the Europa League.

RB Leipzig haven't had the best season so far and former head coach Jesse Marsch paid for that with his job this weekend. Former Mainz 05 and FC Koln head coach Achim Beierlorzer has been appointed as interim head coach so it'll be interesting to see how the team sets up for this game. Die Roten Bullen are in 3rd place in the group and ahead of bottom side Club Brugge on head-to-head record so a victory will confirm the team's place in the Europa League preliminary knockout round. The German club are down in 11th place in the league and have suffered three straight defeats in the league but did pull off a dominant 5-0 win away to Club Brugge in their last group game. I would still expect them to score here having hit the net in all of their 9 competitive home games this season.

Manchester City sit on top of the group and 4 points ahead of 2nd placed PSG heading into these last games. Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne will start after being laid low by coronavirus for a number of weeks. However, a number of youngsters and fringe players have travelled to Germany for this game including Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia, Conrad Egan-Riley, Joshua Wilson-Esbrand, and James McAtee. Both teams have scored in each of City's last four matches so Pep will be keen to see that defensive record tightened up a little bit here but could be tough against this potent RB Leipzig attack. It's 6 wins on the bounce for the Citizens and it'll be fascinating to see if Guardiola decides to pursue keeping that momentum going or if he'll simply want to give younger players some experience.

I'm not the biggest fan of betting on these matches because it's a bit of a wild one. It depends entirely on what line-up Manchester City decide to put out. I can see RB Leipzig going all out to win this and if City go with a strong line-up then there's only one winner and that's the away team but if City put out a weakened team then the game is there for the home side to win. I think I'll go for a City win but my decision could be different after seeing the line-ups.

AC Milan vs Liverpool

The second preview for the last round of Champions League group stage games on the Tuesday night is the 8pm GMT kick-off between Italian Serie A club AC Milan and Premier League side Liverpool at the San Siro in Milan for this Group B clash. The home side need a win and hope that the other result in the group goes their way if they want to reach the last 16 where as the away team have qualified as group winners already having won every group game so far.

AC Milan currently find themselves in 3rd place but it's all very close with I Rossoneri just 1 point behind 2nd placed Porto and level on points with bottom side Atletico Madrid but possessing a better head-to-head record. Head coach Stefano Poli has a team that is obliterated by injuries in attack with Samu Castillejo, Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud, and Pietro Pellegri all sidelined. This means the veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the line. This is a Milan side that shouldn't be under-estimated though. They might have won just 1 of their 5 group games in this competition so far but back-to-back wins in the league have taken them to the top of Serie A.

Liverpool come into this game with 5 wins from 5 matches in this group and having already booked their place in the last 16. Jurgen Klopp had admitted he will rotate his squad because he's been advised that a number of players need a rest. This means we could see the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, and Takumi Minamino all given starts. The Reds have scored in every competitive game this season and have bagged 15 goals from their 5 group matches so far. It's now 5 wins in a row across all competitions for Liverpool including 4 clean sheets kept during that run.

Again, it's a tough one to call here. Both sides will likely be some way off full strength for this game with absentees due to injuries and rotation so it's a hard call. I wouldn't be surprised if AC Milan took something here. They need the win and will throw everything at Liverpool. It'll be a tough one for the fringe players to step into and they'll do well to get a draw. The price on an AC Milan win seems too good to ignore given their form heading into this and Liverpool's anticipated changes.

Anyone fancies Porto at home to beat Atl. Madrid?

If Porto wins they are 100% sure to go on to the next round, lately Atl. Madrid is on a slump, since their respective last matches Porto has had 1 more day rest, and Atl. Madrid's next game in Liga will be the big rivalry match against Real Madrid; so all those elements make me want to take Porto.

Bayern Munich vs Barcelona

The hosts go to this match after a valuable victory in the Bundesliga derby against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. In a very exciting clash, Bayern Munich celebrated a 3:2 victory and stayed on top of the table. However, controversies around the penalty that Robert Lewandowski converted to the winning goal threw a shadow on their success. Julian Nagelsmann’s team now wants to show their dominance against another top-class team, although Barcelona is in trouble this season. Bayern Munich has already locked the top spot in the group with all five wins, and they want to pick up all points in this stage.

Although Barcelona sits in second place, they’ll likely continue their campaign in the Europa League knockout stage if they don’t win this game. The visitors are two points ahead of Benfica, but their rivals host the bottom-placed Dynamo Kyiv and shouldn’t miss the chance to win. Barcelona was lucky in their latest Champions League games, as they held the Eagles to a goalless draw at Camp Nou. Xavi’s side hasn’t been successful last weekend, as they lost to Betis 1:0 at the home ground. Memphis Depay and the lads need to put their best display this season to beat their rivals, which already defeated them 3:0 this season.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

Although Bayern Munich has already secured a ticket for the knockout stage, they will go for a win in this one. They should look forward to eliminating Barcelona from the competition, and we expect the home side to win.

Goals Market Prediction

Bayern Munich has been very productive this season, and we expect to see another entertaining match. Their last four encounters went over a 2.5 margin, and this one shouldn’t be much different.

Juventus vs. Malmo

Juventus is second in the group after five games played. The old lady has 12 points and is only behind Chelsea in additional indicators.
Massimiliano Allegri's side failed to score points only in the away game against Chelsea. The meeting in London ended for Juventus with a crushing defeat with a score of 0-4. At home, the Turin club beat the current Champions League winner 1-0.
In the rest of the matches - against Zenit and Malmo - Juventus had no problems. Unless in St. Petersburg, the Bianconeri scored the decisive goal a few minutes before the final whistle.
Juventus have won seven victories in ten previous home matches

Malmo, meanwhile, is in last place. Now the Swedish club has one point in its assets.
In the fifth round, Malmo drew 1-1 at home with Zenit. The Russian club then equalized the score a couple of minutes before the end of the game. The Swedish champion lost all other matches.
And no matter how the upcoming match with Juventus ends, Malmo will still remain on the last line.
Nevertheless, Malmo players are approaching the match in a great mood. They won the Swedish championship once again last weekend.

Prediction and Bet

Juventus still has a chance to take first place in the group (in case of a victory over Malmo and loss of points to Chelsea in St. Petersburg), so the guests have really scanty chances of a positive result.

Salzburg vs. Sevilla

Salzburg

In the most confusing group of the Champions League, the Austrians have a chance even for 1st place. In any case, you need to win in the last round.
Moreover, the Bulls have the best attack in the group (7 goals). Meanwhile, Salzburg has been extremely unstable lately, although it is confidently leading in its championship.
The bulls won their last duel. The 2-1 win over Hartberg was strong-willed.
In this fight, the Austrians will have to do without Bernardo and Zlatko Yunuzovic. Both of these players are in the club infirmary.

Sevilla

The Spaniards in the Champions League still have a chance of one of the first two places. Although at first it seemed that Sevilla were almost the main favorite of Group G.
True, the Sevilians scored only 6 points, scoring only 5 goals. In general, we urgently need to add in terms of implementation.
Sevilla won their last match. At home, the team minimally outplayed Villarreal.
Surely in this meeting, the guests will actively attack. With Lucas Ocampos and Ivan Rakitic present, the Sevillians' chances look pretty decent.

Despite all the difficulties, the Sevillians look more monolithic than their rival.

My prediction and bet - Sevilla win with handicap (0)

Atalanta vs. Villareal

Atalanta
At the moment, the Bergamaski occupy only the third place in their quartet, losing one point to their rival and four points behind ManU, which has already left the first place.
Thus, Atalanta must win in the final round to reach the 1/8 finals. In case of defeat and victory of Young Boys at United, the club will be eliminated from the European competition.
In the Italian championship, the team is in fourth position. In 16 games, the Bergamo club have 34 points and are seven points ahead of Juventus.
The team has not lost the last 10 fights in all tournaments with six wins and four draws.

Villarreal
Villarreal plays pretty well in the Champions League. However, in their group the team is only second, behind Manchester United by three points.
It is the defeat from Manchester United that the Spaniards have so far. Because of this, in the first place, the Levantines will definitely not win the group anymore.
Now, to reach the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, "Yellow Submarine" must play at least a draw, but this must be done on the road. In Spain Villarreal the weekend has failed once again. The 0-1 away defeat to Sevilla extended their unbeaten streak in official matches to four games.

My prediction and Bet - Atalanta win + total over 2.5

Benfica vs. Dynamo Kiev

Benfica

Benfica have staked out at least the third line. However, the Eagles still have a chance of reaching the Champions League playoffs. To do this, they need to defeat Dynami and count on the defeat of Barça in Munich.
The hosts scored 5 points. They have not won the last three Champions League rounds. Before the start of the series, they managed to defeat the very same Barcelona 3-0. In the list of recent matches, the results are: 0-4, 2-5 against Bayern and 0-0 against the Catalans.
Before the match against Dynamo, Jorge Jesus' team was defeated by Sporting in the Portuguese league. There the Lisbon team has 31 points and the third place.
The missing players include Diogo Gonçalves, Lucas Verisimo and Nemanja Radonich.

Dynamo Kiev

Ukrainians say goodbye to European competition after this round. They have one point and nothing will shine for them this season. At the same time, Mircea Lucescu's team scored the only point in the game against Benfica, which ended in a goalless draw.
Dynamo have lost four matches in a row in the Champions League, although in the last three they did it more or less worthily. For example, in the last match, the guests lost to Bayern 1-2. Before that, they lost to Barcelona twice with a score of 0-1.
In Ukraine, the “blue-white” are in second position with 44 points. On November 27 they defeated Minaj 2-0, and on December 4 they defeated Veres 3-0.
Lucescu cannot count on Tomas Kendzera and Vladislav Supryaga. This is not counting Artyom Besedin.

Bookmakers are more inclined to believe that the game will be effective. I agree with them. The first goal will reveal the game. Dynamo, in any case, makes no sense to sit on the defensive, and Benfica need to get 3 points.

Bet - match total over 2.5

Zenit St Petersburg vs Chelsea

The Wednesday night matches in the final round of Champions League group stage games are heading our way and we can look forward to Zenit St Petersburg taking on Chelsea in Group H at 5:45pm GMT from the Krestovsky Stadium in St Petersburg. This is basically a dead rubber with the home side having qualified for the Europa League and the away team having booked their place in the last 16 of this competition.

Zenit St Petersburg haven't endured the most enjoyable of group phase periods in the Champions League but they are still in European competition having finished 3rd in this group. Head coach Sergei Semak has seen his team pick up 4 points in this group but all of those came against group minnows Malmo. Recent home games have proved to be filled with goals for Zenit St Petersburg with both teams scoring in each of their last 4 home matches. The Russian side are unbeaten in their last 5 matches across all competitions and have lost just 2 of their 11 home matches in all competitions this season.

Chelsea come into this game top of the group but only due to a superior head-to-head record against 2nd placed Juventus who are also on 12 points. The Blues have already qualified for the last 16 but the importance of seeding could determine Thomas Tuchel's starting line-up for this game. Recent form has been a concern for the current 3rd placed side in the Premier League who have surrendered their place at the summit of the top flight of English football after failing to win 3 of their last 5 league matches. Still, it's been three wins and three clean sheets in a row for Chelsea in this group so they have every reason to be confident heading into this match.

This game ended in a narrow 1-0 win for Chelsea in the reverse fixture that opened this group. By all accounts, we can assume that Tuchel will be fielding a strong team for this game to not only wrap up first place but to also bounce back from the 3-2 loss away to West Ham in the league this past weekend. I'm not sure Zenit have quite the same motivation with league form going steady and 3rd place confirmed so a Chelsea win has to be backed here. Clean sheet as well? Go on then!

Manchester United vs Young Boys

My final preview from this year's group stage of the Champions League is the Wednesday night game between Premier League side Manchester United and Swiss Super League club Young Boys in an 8pm GMT kick-off in Group F from Old Trafford. The home side have already confirmed top spot and a place in the last 16 but they face an away team that need a win to stand any chance of qualifying for the Europa League preliminary knockout round.

Manchester United are looking a lot more stable now under the interim leadership of first Michael Carrick and now Ralf Rangnick after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils are unbeaten in 4 games in all competitions since the Norwegian's sacking. This run of results not only helped to guide United into the next phase of this competition but move them up to 6th in the Premier League table and just 3 points off the Champions League qualification spots. It has already been confirmed that the duo of Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek will be given starts here so we'll see a weakened United line-up. The team have conceded 10 goals in their last 11 games so the defence needs some work. Will that change quickly with Raphael Varane still out injured?

Young Boys still have something to play for in this group. David Wagner's side are bottom of the group but 2 points behind 3rd placed Atalanta who host Villarreal in the other game in this group. The Swiss side sprung a shock 2-1 defeat on Manchester United at home in the opening group game but have failed to win a game in the competition since. It's just 1 win from their last 8 across all competitions so form isn't exactly great for the group underdogs. We can expect goals here though with both teams scoring in 9 of the Swiss side's last 11 matches with Young Boys only failing to score a goal in 3 of their last 12 away games.

I have a feeling that no matter who United field in this game the players will be out to impress the new man at the helm. Even the likes of Henderson and van de Beek who are getting chances to show what they can do here are still quality players who can do a job under the right head coach. Young Boys are in a bit of a rut right now and it's going to take a big turn around for them to get something here. I don't think they have the players or manager to get the job done.

8 points on Claudinho to score at 9.6 on BF and 15 point on Azmoun at 4.4.

Both look big to me, especially the former given his recent scoring form.
