Didn't run bad for a free bet Figures from 1st January to the end of March as follows: Lucky 15's -28.55 Other multis, doubles and forecasts -55.92 Singles and each-way bets +29.01 168.99 staked ROI 17.17% ---------- - 55.46 -------- At least I have turned around the singles bets to a positive figure YTD. The doubles and forecasts have been disastrous. They look so tempting but are proving difficult to win with. I am not sure about pursuing the doubles and forecasts until I get a good result. I have decided that since I like to back in a number of races on race days where I get involved I will limit my points per race to 3, no matter how big the event. This worked OK for me in the Lincoln. Since I like betting in a number of races I may well be mean and just have one point per race to spread the risk. Also, I found myself backing a point each way on horses between 5/1 and 9/1 and despite getting better placed offers there were more losers than winners. I will revert to a 1 pt win in future for selections around those prices. The temptation is just mainly to go half a point each way on outsiders and chuck in a low cost lucky 15 now and again. Many thanks to PL Members contributions they all add up to a fascinating collection of selections to investigate with a view to trying to make a profit in this difficult but thrilling past time Been a bit busy lately with other matters taking priority and this week may be hectic in that regard also.
