I remember watching Tsitsipas playing in the next-gen finals. He was playing J Munar (I think). He got mad at dropping his serve, that he started bashing his racquet with his fist at the change over. He hit the racquet so hard, that he had to have an injury timeout and call the trainer. So easy to injure a wrist tendon, or break your (million dollar) wrist. Really! That behavior is moronic and immature!
His handshake to Med after the match was pathetic. Petulant and lame.  Easy to fight, but real character is shown with reconciliation. If you play and give 100% and leave nothing in the tank, it really doesn't matter if you win or lose. You have given everything|  Nadal understands this totally. And that's why he can win and lose with such grace. Tsitsipas is so far away from this mental state ... and it will probably be his biggest stumbling block to becoming a major champion.

From my point of view - Nadal stands higher than Medvedev in term of mental strenght. And not just Nadal, but also Djokovic and Federer, both.
And it seems to me that some of you forget that.

It's never easy to beat anyone of Big3.

It's kind of incredible how Berrettini got this far without a solid backhand. Nadal absolutely smashed him and made him pay dearly. The difference between BIG 3 and the rest is just that there way more cerebral about the game than the rest. The reason why Medvedev might accomplish more than Tsitsipas in his career is purely mental. I'd say Tsitsipas is more naturally talented but Medvedev is just smarter and more hard working to improve his game. Coming back from the Felix game shows how composed Medvedev is, he had no right coming back but he was unfazed.
It was a good slam for anyone who was patient with their picks, I'd say the tournament is more 50/50 than the bookies make it to be. Nadal has an extra gear which he hasn't had to pull most of the tournament. Medvedev has faced some long matches though recovery isn't a problem for him. I have no clear favorite for the final.
See you in May for the next slam.✌️

The bad boy of tennis Paire will definitely taking Tsitsipas the distance. Unlike most players Paire here won't be intimidated by Tsitsipas status in the tennis universe, infact thrives better as the underdog. Tsitsipas should be occupying Medvedev spot or the world thought so when he dispatched Federer here back in 2019.But the guy's only obstacle to his talent and stature is mental. Cue the bathroom breaks and ability to finish off long tenous matches. Probably top 3 on his day, Paire is his worst opponent. Paire's only enemy is himself(Motivation).
I haven't bet big this year but I smell an upset .Because if Paire doesn't let up there's no telling if Tsitsipas holds up. At these odds Paire looks too enticing.

One WTA match and one ATP match for me today, plus adding to a position in the outrights. Starting with the outright market, I'm backing Medvedev some more after he cleared a tricky hurdle in the shape of the enigmatic Kyrgios. The manner of the win, despite dropping a set, was efficient and perhaps more importantly than that Medvedev showed good concentration and didn't get distracted too much by a raucous and partisan crowd. In the past he's struggled to hold his emotions together and if he can keep that part of his game in check it should really help him in pursuit of the title.
The WTA match I'm interested in is Pegula against Parrizas-Diaz, where Pegula is way too short for me. The American has good memories of this tournament from last year and they've probably helped her to snap her losing start to the season and pick up a couple of wins, but she hasn't been convincing so far. She was on the ropes against Kalinina and had to win a second set tie-break to stay in that match and then she fell behind at the start against Pera before recovering. So far she's been giving opponents chances so there's no reason to think she won't do the same against Parrizas-Diaz. The Spaniard is rested after a walkover in the last round and with a recent win over Cornet she's more than capable of getting an upset win.
On the ATP side, I'm taking Berrettini to beat Alcaraz. There's no doubting Alcaraz is a huge talent, but plus money on Berrettini who is more established on hard and at this level can't be ignored. It's true the Italian has had some issues at this tournament so far, but his big serve and forehand combination can keep him in any match.

20pts Medvedev to win ATP Australian Open @ 2.63 Betfair Exchange
    25pts Parrizas-Diaz to beat Pegula @ 5.00 365
25pts Berrettini to beat Alcaraz @ 2.63 Betfair Sportsbook

    Hi you all
I have been comming in this forum for like 20 yrs, only using the tennis forum right in here..
    Whats going on ??
Normally I enjoy looking at the tips/bets in here, but lately some strange post and lots of stupid comments being made in here..
I was posting bets my self in here, some years ago , with another profile name, (couldnt remember my password, so opened at new user, this one), I was doing very very good and im thinking about starting up again.. BUT, with all theese stupid posts in here lately, I dont really know.. Its not "fun" to go in here to look at serious bets, when you have to read or look at a lot of stupid posts. before acctually seing posts with bets and not some kind of BS posts...

Keep this tennis forum thread running like it has been for several years, there are some very very good punters i between you guys, I could mention like 5, the rest of you, THINK before you post your stupid an annoying posts..

Im pretty sure I would be a positive acces to this forum, with winning results, but I have to see the forum going back to normal and not this childish and all this junk posts..
Ps.. I wil keep following and looking at posts from the aprox 5-6 punters in here, thats are doing a great job and are serious, the rest of you, OMG.....

Aslan Karatsev to beat Jenson Brooksby at 2.03 with Pinnacle
Going against the tide here. Quite a few bettors seem to be on Brooksby and the odds have dropped a bit on him as well, but I think the win last round was exactly what Karatsev needed. That was against a tough opponent that didn't back down, now Brooksby is a player Karatsev crushed earlier this year and could do so again. Brooksby grinded out a tough win over Fritz, but he looked a bit injured and his lack of fitness is bothering me a bit. He's playing at home, so plenty to dig into, but Karatsev is classier when on fire, way classier. On balance, I think Karatsev should be the fav here, not Brooksby.

Oscar Otte to beat Denis Kudla at 2.75 with William Hill
Despite some good wins, Kudla is hardly a top player. Otte has been steady all year long and the win over Sonego was just fantastic, it's bound to lift his spirits and perhaps propel him to new heights. I don't expect an easy match for Otte, by no means, but I think 2.75 is decent value. I'd have him somewhere around 2.30 myself, just a slight underdog that has a deceivingly strong service action that's consistent even in long matches. The handicaps don't look appealing at all, it's either outright or nothing.

    Won
    Won
    Won
Won. Pouille was serving to win the match 3-1 but he choked. Ramos played better but he wasted 13 BPs (6-19) while Pouille converted almost every single one he had (3-7)
Void. Brady retired due to her foot injury. Raducanu has beat Voegele (LL) in 2 sets.
Really happy to announce that I have won my last 10 bets here (10/10 in the last 2 weeks!)
This one still alive (I'm very optimistic about this one). The odds have dropped. Cilic/Fokina/Isner out.
If I find some bets that I like I will post them.

It's a pass for me. Cecchinato isn't to be trusted on hard courts, or even clay for that matter. Beating Sandgren is no big deal as he's in no form at all. Also, there's no such thing as a banker in tennis. Short odds get turned over every day. Even if he was ten to one on, it wouldn't be a banker. It could still lose.

    Bautista-Agut to beat Ruusuvuori @ ~1.50
Even if the odds are not very big, I still find them pretty good for the quality of Bautista-Agut. For me, the spaniard is 1 level higher than Ruusuvuori, even if the latest has some wins in his pocket lately. Expecting 3:0 or 3:1 in favor of RBA.

I'm liking the odds of Gianluigi Mager today.I think he's a player on the up and had a decent showing Vs Kyrgios at Wimby and even though it's a different surface today it's clear to note he also like clay. No reason why Alex Molcan is better than him.
I'd suggest him to win a set pre match and go for good overs if it goes on live.
Will also be backing T Griekspor and Etchverry on the challengers today though I doubt there's good value there from the bookies.GL

I don't think Djokovic was poor against Shapavalov. Djokovic actually played the big moments amazingly well, and Shapavalov  came at him all guns blazing. Hit one ridic forehand over the baseline at 30-all at 4-3 (first set with Djoko stranded), and butchered 7 break points early in the 2nd. Played a crap breaker losing all his points on his own serve, especially after going 1-0 up.
I watched Musetti take Djoko apart at the French open (looping slower balls with no pace) and Tsitsipas battered him around for 2 sets. What beat both of them was not a tennis conundrum but a refueling problem. Djokovic is a master of recovery. They have figured out how to get him back to almost 100% capacity, after a long 5 setter. Musetti ran out of steam, and Tsitsipas looked knackered after 2 sets (probably started the final at 70% capacity.
Berrettini should not have this problem. It's a weird thing, but it's not tiring when you are serving so well, and getting so many free points. Also, Berrettini  got to the USA open semi finals in 2019. So, he has been close to the biggest stage before.
I have a feeling it's an Italian double today!

I won't be getting involved in the men's finals most likely, especially since I still have that 1.44 bet on Djokovic to win. Do I trust him to win 3-0? Not exactly. Do I trust him to win? Definitely. Despite his bad performance against Shapovalov, Berrettini will have his biggest mental test of his career and it will be even bigger than when he met Djokovic in the French Open. Despite the scoreline against Hurkacz, I didn't feel he was playing THAT well to have much of a claim here and this will be a different match-up entirely. He has a better chance than Hurkacz would've had, but the odds are arguably spot on if you factor in the occasion and Djokovic's ability to rise to it.

Not sure what you're talking about, I think most of us had good two weeks!
Karolina Pliskova (+1.5 sets) to beat Ashleigh Barty at 1.75 with Pinnacle
I usually like to protect my betting a bit in the second GS weeks and this one was no exception. Just didn't have any strong feelings and the first week was so good that there was no need to push things. I'm going to take Pliskova, though, after considering everything. Barty hasn't quite faced anyone with a good serve so far and only one in-form player in Kerber as well. Pliskova took a set off Barty in Stuttgart and now the conditions favor her even more.

To me the best bet moving forward is to bet both men's underdogs in the semis.  Hurkacz is about 2:1 and is playing well enough to make it worth it.

Now my favorite bet is Shapovalov to beat Djok at 7:1.  Why?  Well Djok hasn't been tested yet and if you watch carefully his favorite neutralizing shot is the 2-handed cross-court backhand which against a lefty isn't going to work because it falls straight to the forehand!  Shapo has an incredible forehand and while his backhand is a one-hander if he is on point he can fire back some rockets and really make it happen.  Of course I think Djok will win but 7:1 justifies this as a reasonable +EV bet in my mind.

    Thoughts?

Are you kidding me? She was having a panic attack due to all that hype around her. At the end of the first set you could already tell but then during the first 3 games of the second set it got so much worse. A whole nation behind a 18 years old girl who barely has been tested at this level? Too much pressure...

Karen Khachanov to beat Sebastian Korda at 1.90 with bet365
Both players are great, Korda is having amazing two seasons (4R at RG 2020; final at Delaney Beach 2021;title in Parma 2021 and now 4R at Wimbledon) at the same time Khachanov shows some positive signs since the start of the season ( semi-finalist in Lyon, beating Gasquet in the quarter-finals; quarter-finalist in Rotterdam earlier this season, beating Wawrinka in first round and winning a set against Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals). For sure 2019 and 2020 were tough for Karen but this season he is playing better.
Both of the players are aggressive baseliners who depend very much on their serve. Against Dan Evans Korda showed that he is not only powerful but also very mobile player. He used serve and volley tactic a lot and also won many net points but I think all this happened because of Dan Evans’s style of playing. Evans love to put some variety in his game and to make his opponents confused and out of their safe zone.
Khachanov is not Dan Evans’s type of player. Karen prefer aggressive ball exchange from the baselanes. So I believe that Korda will be okay to do these long and exhausting exchanges believing he is in his safe zone, playing his style. But not many players have the abilities to win against Khachanov playing this style of game. regardless of the fact that Korda is very talented young player I think he doesn’t have enough experience and big matches under his belt to beat Khachanov on grass.
