Hi @kronialthough Ken's Sam's lost I do get decent returns by keeping an eye on the moves. The move is just an indicator to take a further look, not necessarily to place a bet.

2.10 Warwick - Fleminport - generally 3/1
Jonjo O'Niell/J.P McManus combo - 8/1 tissue into 3/1 generally. First time cheek pieces and outfit don't often leave money behind.

I will post on here rather than starting a new thread so that everyone can get a feel for my selections. I always look out for market moves (% moves) using the racing post 'tissue' as the expected price. I keep track of stables coming into form as best I can, and look for any positives I can find. Just because a horse is backed does not necessarily make it a bet for me, some are just a smokescreen IMO.
The one that interests me today runs in the 7.15 at Newcastle.
7.15 Newc - Ken's Sam's (best 3/1 but generally 11/4)
It was only beaten a nose over CD a year ago from a 5lb higher mark. Ben Curtis booked to ride. (15/2 - 11/4) [approx 15% move] Irish trainer travelling over.

Inside info is out there, the BIG PROBLEM is sorting the wheat from the chaff. My guess is that 'most' supposed inside info is anything but. There are of course exceptions (I once had a newmarket source who gave me 15 unraced 2 year olds and 12 won), but they are very rare.
Nowadays I just use my own method, following the markets and then analysing the trainer/horse before having a bet... it will show up who is reliable and who is a chancer.

I was once told by someone a lot more knowledgable than me " If you rummage around in garbage , your almost certain to come out with garbage"
A very good quote, similar to one that I try to stick with.. "Invest in Quality". The reason behind it is that the people at the top (Top trainers, top jockeys) make fewer mistakes.
@RobbertGood luck in your quest, the only advice I would give is to try and find a bit better prices (especially avoid odds on) as profits should increase if your selection method has merit.

In not in afraid, no. Quite glad as I think man City and Liverpools form last season would have been a killer.
Spain probably still profitable though.
Interesting thread @only1wozStarted reading this the other day so recorded selections for the weekend just gone.
As you say "Spain " could be ok. I used the 'home underdogs' to shortlist before filtering with the 'hot v cold' indicator. Spain, just 1 selection - Alaves - won 2-0 at odds of 21-10. Premier league just had C.Palace (9/1) who lost.
I actually looked at quite a few divisions which came up with 14 games, ... 7 won, 5 draws, 2 lost (+8.17pts). I was looking at double chance 12/14 selections which I could use for possible multiples, so thanks for sparking an idea.
P.s. Friday had Eintract Frankfurt - won (7-4) for the German top div.
