  1. Missed last week as had a week away in Cyprus, probably a good thing looking at the results. Anyway, as for this week, I am always a bit wary over the Christmas/New Year period, especially with lower level football as some seem to celebrate  the season a little more than they should with surprise results.

I will probably have a small wager on a Coleraine(Won 2-0)/TNS (Won 5-0)double paying just under 6/4. .... Coleraine's form looks a bit indifferent at the moment but the 3 league defeats this season have all come away from home. So I will take them at home to Ballymena who have a poor record when playing away from home. Looks a good game in store between 2 in form sides when Cefn Druids host TNS, my opinion though is that TNS are just a bit too good and make up the second part of the double.

  2. Nothing for me in Northern Ireland, as I have said before Linfield are becoming the top team again and are top of the league despite having played 2 games less. The problem is that at 1/12 away to bottom side Warrenpoint, I can't even put them in an acca at that price.

I have to agree with @StevieDay1983that Newtown are worth a bet at home to Carmarthen. I also looked at Newi CD(Won 2-0) (draw no bet 13/8) at home to Connah's Quay. After a poor start they have won 6 of their last 7 games, whilst Connah's Quay have wavered a bit.

However , my bet is a double on Caernarfon(Won 5-0) and TNS(Won 4-1) that pays around evens. Caernarfon have won their last 6 home games, and TNS are hiiting their stride.

  3. I am not clued up enough on the strength of the Welsh leagues. I do though like teams at home against lower league opposition and from what I can see I would go for a double on Aberystwyth(Won 2-1) and Cefn Druids(Won 2-0). Cefn Druids are in decent form as well so the double that pays 1.67/1 (approx 13/8) is worth a small bet.

I will leave detailed analysis to those who know more than myself about some of the teams involved.

  4. Have to agree with @StevieDay1983 , Caernarfon were my stand out pick, winning their previous 3 home games, 2 of which were against top sides Barry and TNS. Odds against at home with the form to back it up is a definite selection for me. Caernarfon 5/4. Won 2-1

In Northern Ireland, I still think that Linfield are on the up (despite letting me down last week - recovered losses in midweek with a win at 17/20). So, I am going with them again in a double with Coleraine (Top of table away at next to bottom and out of form Institute who have 2 draws and 6 defeats from 8 home games). Linfield/Coleraine double pays 19/20.

  5. Thanks again @Darran, had Hartlepool and Eastleigh in a double. ?.

In regards to your question , What does John Sheridan have to do to get sacked? Unless I am wrong, the Chesterfield Chairman Dave Allen is a massive Sheffield Wednesday fan, hence ex-Owl Sheriden being manager. He also seems to employ quite a few other ex Wednesday players at the club. He does help the club financially (they are under financial pressure) but perhaps needs to put the actual club as the priority rather than rubbing shoulders with his idols. Anyway, in the meantime, let's carry on opposing them.

  6. Baffled by Newi CD being such a big price when recent form is much improved so will leave alone.

Linfield really are a standing dish for me, if they won their games in hand they would go top and I think the price is fair enough. I will put them in a double with Coleraine, their home form is good , only conceded 3 goals (best in div) although they strangely lost to bottom club Warrenpoint last week. The Linfield/Coleraine double pays 1.18/1 (6/5).

I am also tempted by Cliftonville (Draw no bet) at 10/11 away to Larne. Cliftonville are top of the league and on a hot run of form (won last 6).

  7. I will probably have a treble (All at HOME), Coleraine, Cliftonville, TNS ... pays just above evens (1.05 - 1).

Coleraine - top of the league and won their last 5, Glenavon 3rd bottom and no real form. -  Won 4-0

    Cliftonville - 2nd in league, Warrenpoint lost 13 out of 14. - Won 4-0

TNS - One of the top sides, Carmarthen are bottom of league. - Postponed

    Hopefully 3 good things.

  8. Linfield look a good thing as the odds suggest, I would put them in a double with Coleraine.  Coleraine are top of the league and going well, whilst Dungannon Swifts have lost their last 4 including against bottom side Warrenpoint (Warrenpoints' only points in 13 matches).

Linfield, Coleraine ... in a double pays a bit better than 4/5. (Linfield 2-0, Coleraine 2-0)

I am nowhere near as clued up with the Welsh Prem as some others, but did look at backing Newi CD (draw no bet) at 11/10 away to bottom side Carmarthen who haven't won in a while, whilst Newi CD have won their last 2. (Newi CD 2-1)
