    Anett Kontaveit v Laura Siegemund (+1.5 sets) @ 1.62
Although Kontaveit won easily in two sets, she did lose the first three games in the 2nd set, indicating that she did not have it all her own way. Siegemund is an experienced campaigner and enjoys clay. She also has been playing many exhibition matches, racking up a score a great tally of 11W 2L (even if it was against sub-standard opposition). I believe Siegemund has it in her to win a set and possibly even the match, but I will choose the safer option.

Krystina Pliskova to beat Sara Errani at 1.42 with 888
Errani has rarely been competitive in the WTA events she has played since her return so I expect Krystina to win this. The Czech player has played a lot of exhibition matches during these days and she has won in straight sets against a better player in her first round here. No exhibition matches played by Errani these days but luckily for her she faced a player who also came here without preparation.

Phew, finally tennis resumes! Been keeping myself betting on e-sports and other minor sports (e.g. darts) for the last while. Don't have any tips just yet - want to watch a few matches before I part with my money. Also as @money44 said, great to see this place so lively after such a long pause!

A ridiculous decision, but there we are, left with two Challengers for the week ?. Edit: Just for the record, I think it's ridiculous mainly because 1) all the big American sports are still going ahead in packed arenas 2) they could've played without spectators if they were afraid of that 3) canceling it so close to the event after essentially everyone has already traveled there?.

Oceane Dodin (+4.0 Games) to beat Sofia Kenin at 1.91 with betfair
Dodin is a great indoor player. She has her best record on this surface (W/L record: 131-58) and she has won 11 matches this year. The last week she won in Macon and she reached the QFs in St Petersburg where she won against Gracheva, Ferro, Kuzmova and Konta without dropping a single set. She finally lost against Rybakina but she took a set from her. She has played a lot of matches in the last days but the retirement of Teichmann will give her an extra day for recovering. Kenin won her first match since the AO against Diatchenko. She has never achieved good results on indoors (7-6). The best result she has achieved on this surface was in Quebec (2016) where she reached the SFs, losing against Pegula. Today she could have lost against Jaqueline (the rumanian was serving for the match in the second set but she finally choked).

Anna-Lena Friedsam to beat Kristina Mladenovic at 2.40 with Parions Sport
Friedsam seems to be gradually returning to her best level (45th) for almost 1 year after having suffered of multiple injuries. After winning an ITF title last September, she managed to beat Bencic in Linz before being eliminated by Rybakina (in 3 sets despite everything). For her part, Mladenovic seemed rather feverish against Pasquet while she is usually comfortable facing her compatriots (1 defeat in 9 matchs). The odd of the German is logically high because she has already lost against the French on grass 4 years ago and because she is much lower ranked but I think that her striking power will do a lot of damage on i.hard & we could see a totally different revenge here.

Viktoria Kuzmova to beat Tereza Martincova at 2.45 with Parions Sport
A bet a little daring when we see the shape of the Slovak for some times but Im hopeful that she will regain her best level soon and why not starting here with 2 first opponents relatively below her potential level. We must not forget that she was at the gates of the top 40 not so long ago and if she manages to regain confidence in her serve she can go far in this tournament.

To remain undoubtedly within the rules of this forum I am not going to address anyone by quotes  So whoever this pertains to, consider it a reply. Am I stupid or something? No. Because I am confident that I know what I am doing. Stupidity is doing the same thing every day and expecting a different result or rather a varied mixture of results. I can boldly defend any statement I make by the consistency in my results. I am not looking to be popular or loved, In fact, I get my buzz from the one that is bold enough to rise me to a challenge. This seeming bitterness has being ongoing. I would rather you proved yourself with your pen. It is just a pity that I take delight in what I do and I make no apologies.

Can't trust Garcia now even if she plays at home, I will go with Bonaventure at 2.25 to start this week.

Jan-Lennard Struff (+1.5 sets) to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas at 1.86 with Pinnacle
Fully agree with @darko08, Struff was just excellent against Bautista, fearless strong hitting from nearly all positions and he has good previous record against Tsitsipas, so there should be no fears coming from that. Taking the safer option though.

    Krejcikova/Siniakova (2-0) to beat Buyukakcay/Siegemund at 1.83 with Marahtonbet
Too much difference between these 2 pairs. This is the first time that Buyukakcay and Siegemund play together and none of them are good double players. Krejcikova/Siniakova have won in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) against a better pair in their first round here.
Rublev (vs. Krajinovic) + Struff (vs Basilashvili) at 2.00 with 888
Rublev lost against Krajinovic the last week in Rotterdam but I can't imagine this happening again. Krajinovic has suffered in his first round here against Joao Sousa (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and Rublev has won in 2 sets against the young italian promise Musetti (6-4, 6-4). Struff has impressed me in his first round here against Bautista (7-6, 7-5). He has played really really well and Basilashvili could have lost against Berankis (5-7, 7-6, 6-3) so Struff looks the right favorite to me.
Kiki Bertens (2-0) to beat Saisai Zheng at 1.70 with 888
Bertens is in a very good form. She played really well in her previous tournament in St Petersburg, winning there against Kudermetova (6-1, 6-2), Potapova (6-4, 7-6), Alexandrova (6-1, 4-6, 6-1) and Rybakina (6-1, 6-3). In her first match here she has won against Muchova (6-2, 6-4). Saisai has won against Vondrousova and Zvonariova. I'm not impressed with her victory against Vondrousova because the Czech is still so far from her best form. In Dubai, Saisai lost in 2 sets against Siniakova (who was in a very bad form) so considering the difference between Bertens and Saisai and the good form of Bertens I can see her winning this without too much problems.

    WTA Doha
Amanda Anisimova - Svetlana Kuznetsova [email protected] pinnacle /flat 10u/

I took a bet against Anisimova in the first round, as she had a stomach problems lat week and played really bad with Strycova. But the way she won that first round with in form Alexandrova, and the way she pushed out Svitolina in 2nd round made quite big impression to me. Anisimova was playing really well, like she did in first half of last season and for me she is back in good form with higher confidence.

I saw Kuznetsova in almost all matches this year and I see big diffrence between both players. Svetlana won with Vondrousova in AO, but Marketa is still not ready after injury. Otherwise her results and play are about average. Here she won Buyukakcay and Swiatek, but espacially Swiatek played really badly today.

Kuznetsova is playing little better than expected at the end of her career, but it wont be enough against back in form Anisimova. Amanda will punsih her weaker serv and will push her back from all positions, as she did against Svita. This odds are best value from round 16 to me and I have to take young american at current odds. Both matches are interesting. Bublik played very well the last week and Hurkacz is playing really bad... The problem here is that Bublik is crazy. If he plays focused i have no doubts he can win but it's impossible to know because he's crazy (he even said the last week that he doesn't like to play tennis and he only does for the money). Bencic also is in a bad moment and Kudermetova did well in Dubai so... I don't want to choose one of them but I have to say that both look good.

One pick for ATP Dubai match

    BAUTISTA-STRUFF 2:0 sets @ 1.85 willhill (1.83 pinnacle / betfair sportsbook and others)
Both play in similar style with consistency from the baseline but Bautista is better at this game. He will force Struff into unforced errors. The head-to-head is 4-1 to Bautista with 4 easy wins.

Yeah just came to state here what a great final it was in Dubai. A bit heartbroken Rybakina (and not just because I bet on her) -- she played so bloody well for a 20-year-old against probably the best "fighter" on tour at the moment. Some completely amazing shots and huge "big match temperament" shown by Rybakina to take the 3rd set to a TB. This young lady is definitely going to be a future grand slam winner. What an absolute star!
