Good day overall, with all the big bets coming in. Shouldn't have fired on Sela and Stakhovsky but hey-ho. Some good shouts today, IAG on Kendrick overs in particular a shout I enjoyed. May not get involved tomorrow, no time to research and if you don't do the hard yards, you won't get the rewards.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Good stuff mate......would have followed on Granollers had I been on in time. Was thinking about it but hadn't seen the handicaps. Having a look at the card here......looks very tough for tomorrow. Many big lines/short handicaps.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon 1 for me tomorrow: Albert Montanes - Evans [email protected] Betfair (6.5/10) Brendan Evans played 3 games in Halle before getting through the qualies here. In Halle he got beaten by Okun (273) who is not really known as a grass-specialist. Here he's beaten another qualier in first round, Guta Hallung in 3 sets, as nr318 a good result but not really special in my eyes. Albert Montanes is known as a gravelspecialist and far from being good on grass. And everybody knows when he meets someone from top 75 with some grassfeeling he'll be beaten by that person. But I can see him beating this challenger-level Evans pure a classdifference I find this a value bet.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Michal Przysiezny to beat Yen-Hsun Lu. 2.38 @ Betfair

Lu looks a bit overrated for this one which is not right. He's only beaten Zeballos which is good but nothing special. I think he will have totally different look in Przysiezny who possesses great serve which will cause Lu lots of problems. The Polish player has beaten stronger opponent in the first round so I have to go with him. Like I said Lu is overrated and there is no reason for odds to be like this. Alicia Molik to beat Greta Arn. 1.72 @ Skybet

The fact that Arn beat Kateryna Bondarenko in previous round makes absolutely no sense because Bondarenko has been away for a very long time because of match fixing (not official but everybody knows that) and I'm not sure she has played clean here as well. Have seen Arn not so long ago. She has got decent serve but other than that she is pretty crap and old as well. 4 matches including qualies will be too much for her. Molik is still better player and will get a win here!

Justine Henin vs Kristina Barrois. Over 18.5 games. 2.00 @ Paddy Power

My first idea about this match was to take 6.5 games on Barrois which is offered at Paddy Power @ 1.72. I think this is a very decent thing to take into consideration but I reckon over 18.5 games option is even better and will work. Here's why. They met last week in Hertogenbosch and Henin won 7-5,6-3 which was the total of 21 games. Today we need couple games short of that. Henin was slow off the blocks against Sevastova in first round, here serve was out of rhythm and she should have spent more time on court than she actually did by winning 6-4,6-3. I think she is a bit jaded and Barrois has got weapons to keep at least one out of two sets tight. Over for me in this one!

Yaroslava Shvedova to beat Regina Kulikova. 1.78 @ Pinnacle

Kulikova has potential to be Top 20. She has all that is needed on fast courts but the main thing she is lacking is experience. And that will come into question today against in-form Shvedova who is much more experienced at this level and more consistent as well. Early odds on Shvedova are very good and I'm taking them!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Melzer @ 1.55 - Nordicbet Solid combo material, i will take it as a single bet too. Don't think that Troicki is capable pulling off a surprise here, Melzer is very confident after solid performance at RG and he can do well on grass as well. Troicki has been good on grass but he should suffer because of his inconsisteny aagainst a player who plays similar like him. Both are good baseliners, but Melzer is IMO better and mentally more solid so he should take this in 4 sets at most. Good luck. Fe. Lopez @ 1.50 - Nordicbet Young Berankis played a lot lately on grass, and with big success but can't see him getting past Lopez who defeated Nadal and Bennetau in London, and here in 4 sets eliminated Levine. My only concern is his retirement in Eastbourne, and odds raising on his win, that's why in suggest taking this bet at a VOID bookie in case of injury.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Viktor Troicki vs Jurgen Melzer. Under 39.5 games. 1.96 @ Pinnacle

General feeling about this one is that Melzer is going to win. Quality level is a bit higher than Troicki who will struggle mentally today as well as he has never beaten Melzer in 3 attempts. Had a thought about -3.5 games on the Austrian but he is well capable of throwing away 1 set like he did against poor Dustin Brown in opening round. Total line is huge and 39.5 games allows us to get away even with a 4 set match which is exactly what I'm predicting to happen in this one. No more than that though, so under 39.5 games looks good. Like I said -3.5 games is offered @ 1.83 by Paddy Power so that could be another option which looks very good.

Michael Llodra vs Andy Roddick. Roddick -4.5 games. 2.05 @ 188bet

Llodra has had enough tennis in past week or so. He just won Eastbourne was pretty average in the first round. This will surely be his last match in singles here in Wimbledon. Amazing thing is that Llodra has never been past 2nd round @ Wimbledon. In singles that is and this statistic is not going to change. Roddick is a former 3-time finalist and had hammering performance in the first round. Though it has to be said that Rajeev Ram is no world beater but Roddick didn't mess around and crushed him. Llodra will be tougher opponent but still won't be good enough to trouble him. The Frenchman could be in a hope for tie-break or two but other than that no chance. -4.5 games over 3 sets looks pretty ok to me!

Feliciano Lopez vs Ricardas Berankis. Lopez -3 games. 1.90 @ Pinnacle

Berankis doing incredible stuff and putting together some decent performances but it remains to be seen how much he can do against player like Lopez who's best surface is grass. He certainly won't be such a crap as Carsten Ball is with his brainless serving and hitting tennis. Berankis is in the 2nd round of a GS for the first time and experience in this type of tournaments is huge. Lopez has got it and that will work massively in his favor. Spanish win in this one and handicap looks like a formality.

Florian Mayer vs Mardy Fish. Fish -4 games. 1.83 @ Sportingbet

Like Fish's chances in this one. Mayer had an upset against Cilic in first round but it has to be said that he was very lucky to win that one as Cilic didn't bother to play at half of his capability. Fish is well motivated these days, especially on grass which he loves so much. I can see him giving a lot of trouble with his serve @ net rushing style of play. Mardy should be capable of getting a break here or there and should be winning this one straight forward. -4 games is what I was hoping to get and got. GL!

Philipp Kohlschreiber vs Teimuraz Gabashvili. Over 36 games. 1.90 @ Gamebookers

This looks a bit short for me. Kohly lost a set against Starace so there's no reason to believe he will be able to win in straight sets against Gabashvili or the Russian to do the trick and win in 3 sets. This match has over written all over it and 36 games is ridiculous offer to be perfectly honest. A couple tie breaks and 7-5 in the 3rd set could do the job even in 3 sets but I think it will go beyond that.

Sport Tennis
Event Rainer Schuettler v Denis Istomin
Selection Istomin (-3) GH (Asian Handicap)
Strength 10/10
Date 23/06/2010
Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.99 (Back)
Reasoning Well, Rainer Schuettler defeated Dimitry Tursunov easy in three sets but I have to say that it was all about the russian's big number of errors. Schuettler had some good results in the grass season of this year so far and he is a litter bit overrated but that can't change his overall level. On the other hand Denis Istomin had a good run recently too and he is a litter bit overrated as well, but speaking about the difference in class between these two players certain on grass I will say that Istomin is just by far more stable and complete player. First of all, Istomin's better serve should make a lot of difference as on grass this aspect always count a lot, secondly Istomin's more powerful and aggressive shots should also be clear his advantages. Schuettler can change very well the angles but he can't hit from too many positions winners, positions from which Istomin can take his chance. Schuettler is a player who do not possess any really dangerous weapon on grass, his qualities are limited not only on grass but overall. Istomin surely can play much more stable tennis on his own serve, a aspect so important when you're playing on grass, so IMO he should be clear the favourite for this one and this line game handicap is just too low for a three sets match as Schuettler's serve is not so difficult to break. Good Luck!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

my first big bet of the tournament is as follows: JUAN CARLOS FERRERO TO BEAT XAVIER MALISSE AT 5-4 PADDYPOWER 3 POINTS! i cannot for the life of me understand how juan carlos ferrero is underdog in this one!! i feel there has been a big over-reaction to malisse's victory over djokovic at queens last week....i saw the match and evn though malisse played well , novak was far from his best!! and malisse typically lost the quarter-final the next day in straight sets against eventual champion sam querrey which was no disgrace but as usual he wasn't able to follow up a big victory which has been a prominent pattern pervading through his whole career! in fairness he has had a decent grass court season so far beating the likes of tursonov, tomic and of course novak.... but today he got beaten by stakhovsky in straight sets!! there's no doubting his talent... great groundstrokes off both wings and a big serve but the mental side of his game is what has let him down over the years!! he has always had difficulties maintaining his concentration and toughness on every point and he's a bit slow around the court these days but he still knows how to play grass court tennis! however, so too does his opponent juan carlos ferrero and yet again this man has been under-rated by the bookies on a surface that these days might even be his best surface and last year he was quoted as saying that it was his favourite surface!! it seems that because juan carlos ferrero is a former french open champion and a spaniard that ultimately he's really a clay courter and not quite the same force on grass!! but if you look closely at his record, particularly recent record....you could see that the man really does play well on the grass!! he's been a quarter finalist at wimbledon twice and to the 4th round twice also!! he's also one of the few men that can boast about taking a set off federer on the grass! last year he beat the likes of youzny and fernando gonzalez on his run to the quarters before finding murray too good!! he has also won the only match between the two players last year....ON GRASS...in queens in straight sets!! his form this year has been mostly very good....he had a great time in the south american clay court season winning in chile and brazil....he was shocked in the third round of the french by ginepri but bobby really played outstanding in that match i thought!! it certainly is worrying that he lost to meffert in halle on grass almost two weeks ago but he just didnt seem that interested.....dont think it was an injury problem!! he has the exact qualities that malisse lacks.....mental toughness.....the ability to play tough on every point for 5 sets (a great match player), consistency in long ralleys....malisse tends to break down eventually or just go 4 the big winner.... and on grass he plays the counter-punching style and will mix his game up, feed off malisse's pacy groundstrokes and pass malisse at will when he attacks the net!! malisse hasn't went on a good run for a while at wimbledon and last year went out very tamely to schuettler in the first round when, like this year, his form looked good going into the tournament!! he's obviously very talented and ii wouldn't be surprised if this match went to 4 or even 5 sets but ultimately ferrero is the superior match player and provided he's fit and motivated...i think he'll win this one!!he was 11-8 with powers....now 5-4 and i expect the price to shorten still!! the fact that he is underdog in this match makes it so much tastier to back!! good luck modify_inline.gif
oh well!! malisse plays a blinder!! and probably a bad misjudgement as well by me!! should never ever have been a three pointer!! so sorry about that! i think a lot of us were on the same page...ferrero hasn't reached the quarters of wimbledon twice in the last 2 years for nothing! but malisse is having a bit of a renaissance! OUR LOSS!

ivan dodig to beat oscar hernandez 3-0 10-11 bet365 1 point! i think this is really worth the punt!! hernandez really really hates the grass!! the veteran has never won a match at wimbledon in 6 tries and only ever won one set!! i get the feeling that he just shows up for the pay check and goes through the motions!! last year he produced a horrible display in the first round losing 6-0,6-0,6-3 to leonardo mayer who is by no means at home on the grass himself!! that is simply a disgraceful scoreline to lose a match on a grass court surface and stinks of disinterest! he never has produced the goods on grass and i don't see how he's going to do it now in the autumn of his career!! incredibly last year the bookies were asleep and had mayer at a gift price of 8-15 in boyles before it shortened fairly lively!! this year they are shrewd enough to make dodig huge favourite at best price 1-7! however, the straight sets victory at 10-11 is a more appealing bet!! dodig has played some decent stuff this year at times! he qualified for the australian open and came back from 2 sets down to beat ferrero in the first round! then he lost in 5 sets to koubek!! dodig is no world beater but he still did well to qualify as he beat some good players to get here.....beating zemjla is a good result and coming back from 2 sets down to beat grass court specialist peya also shows a lot of heart and will give him plenty of confidence coming into the first round!! he's already won a first round match in a grand slam (beat ferrero from 2 sets down in the aussie open) and he shouldn't really be scared of this stage!! he's a solid enough player with a decent serve and a good return, he can slice well...whcih hernandez can't .....but honestly i am more backing against hernandez to win a set than dodig to win 3-0!! all dodig needs to do is play solid, cut down the errors and keep his concentration and he should win this one easy!!! even as it is, hernandez isn't even playing good tennis on his favourite surface clay most recently losing in straight sets to the likes guez and aguilar and bachinger in the run in to this tournament so he's very much a man on the downswing and it would be very surprising to see this grass hater nick a set or two in this match!! it's all in dodig's hands!
DODIG WINS EASILY 6-1,6-3,6-3! WIN!!!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

jaarkko nieminen to beat stefan koubek at 4-7 skybet 3 points! i will start explaining yesterdays tips now!! basically i think this is a value price because i really fancy jaarko to win this one!! nieminen has a 4 -1 head to head winning record against koubek which is a good sign!! they are both lefties with doble handed backhands so the 'leftie' advantage which koubek has oftenn highlighted (part of the reason he has a winning record against moya as moya has a poor backhand) has been cancelled out against jaarko!! basically, i think jaarko is just capable od a higher level than stefan!! jaarko has had plenty of injury problems and plus his army service duties have contributed to the drop in his rankings but he is still a quality player whio generally saves his best tennis for the grand slams!! lets not forget that this is a man who has reached the quarter finals of 3 different grand slams and not too many players on tour can make that claim...evn some of the top players!!! he's been a quarter finalist at wimbledon too and he seems to like the grass.....he's also got some unlucky early draws which have maybe hindered hios progress in other years (close 5 set losses to henman and most recently cilic in 2008) but he will really feel that koubek....a man he knows how to beat is a good draw for him! stefan did well in the qualifiers getting to the third round but actually he is not here legitimately as he lost to mahut in the final round of qualifying! mahut did have to some back from two sets behind so it does show that koubek has some form! however, he is well past his best and though he does save his best tennis for the slams these days....grass is his weakest surface....since 1999 he has never been past the second round which is a very unimpressive statistic for me!! nieminen is much more comfortable on the surface..... and his form this year has been solid if not spectacular (a semi-final place in delray beach and a challenger victory against dolgopolov in the final in morroco the highlights) but at leats he has stayed injury free and he should relish the return to the grass at wimbledon a place where he has played some of his best tennis!! nthe price will probably change because nieminen should be a much bigger favourite than he is so get on now!!!
NIEMINEN WINS IN 4 STES!! HE'S VERY RELIABLE IN THESE TYPE OF MATCHES! A GOOD SOLID THREE POINTER !WIN

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

kulikova-barrois double at 4-5 skybet 3 points! kulikova is playing melanie south and is basically a class above to be fair! kulikova has had a decent year....she reached the quarterfinals at dubai (the fastest non-grass surface) beating kuznetsova and kirilenko before falling to radwanska in 3 sets! most recently on the clay she took a set off sharapova in strasbourg and perhaps more impressively she pushed french open champion schiavone all the way in a tight 3 setter in the first round! she likes the grass and reached the 3rd round at wimbledon last year beating kleybanova on the way!! my only concern about her is that she retired injured against rybarikova in nottingham while she was a set up....but she probably wouldn't play here if she wasn't fit and ready so i'm willing to take a chance on her because clearly her form is good! south on the other hand is a feisty competitor who is very much at home on the grass....she took a set off chakvetadze a few weeks ago...but her form this year overall is pretty patchy...she's still abit over weight and her movement and retrieval skills won't be up to the level needed against an agressive opponent like kulikova! and even if it is close she also got beaten in the first round at wimbledon in an error strewn performance against mathilde johannson last year so it wouldnt surprise me if the nerves get to her again in the tight moments here! barrois is in good form right now! she reached the final at strasbourg a few weeks ago losing to sharapova in the final! she reached the quarters at hertogenbosch beating czink and bammer on the way before giving henin a tough match but ultimatley losing in straights! she has all the qualities to play good tennis on grass...she is aggresive, can plays the slice very well, like to take the ball early and can attack the net! last year she lost to zheng in 2 tie-breaks....but this year she ahs an easier job! korytseva, her opponent, is in poor form at the moment!! she was hemmered most recently by kleybanova in the french open, and had a string of poor results before that!! she has never won a match at wimbledon....and is particularly poor on grass...i saw her a few years ago against wozniak and she was very frustrated!! she has a good forehand but her backhand is very dodgy and tends to break down especially when she hasn't much time on it!! she did beat barrois earlier on in the year in miami....but barrois was in very poor form at the time and is a completely different proposition in her current form and on this urface...so i can only see a barrois victory!! and once again i reckon the prices will change so get on now!!
MY BIGGEST BET OF THE TOURNAMENT SO FAR WORKS OUT! BOTH PLAYERS WIN IN STRAIGHT SETS! WIN

belluci- bagdatis double 4-5 boyles 2 points! lacko is the perfect match up for bagdatis and he loves the grass and belluci has a big serve and plenty of confidence!! he is a bit vulnerable on grass....doesnt't possess a great slice and wont like the low bounce but he's a good match player, he'll be up for it and i think he'll still have to much game for veteran mello who has very little grass court experience even at this stage of his career!
BELLUCI WON EASY BUT BAGDATIS FELL APART! SO SORRY FOR ALL THAT FOLLOWED ME ON THIS ONE!! NO EXCUSES....SHOULD HAVE KEPT WELL AWAY FROM BAGDATIS IN THE FIRST ROUND CONSIDERING HE SEEMS TO HAVE GONE OFF THE BOIL LATELY....NEVER A MAN TOO SUSTAIN A HIGH LEVEL OVER THE COURSE OF A SEASON!! JUST THOUGHT HE'D BE INSPIRED TO PLAY HIS BEST TENNIS ON THE GRASS OF WIMBY! BAD JUDGEMENT!LOSS

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon melanie oudin to beat jarmila groth at 8-11 skybet! 2 points i'm going to put my faith in melanie here as she has been in bad form for the last few months! but last year she came into wimbledon in even worse form and then exploded onto the scene beating the likes of shvedova and jankovic to get to the 4th round! her win over groenfeld in straight sis a good sign also although it has to be said that groenfeld was woeful....just going for broke on every shot! i just feel that groth is a good match-up for oudin!! groth like to take the ball on early and is very aggressive but oudin is typically a counter puncher...at her best reminiscent of leyton hewitt (like at the US open last year) and i think she will feed off groths pace, and force groth into mistakes!! groth does tend to break down eventually! i am a little worried about oudin's serve as groth can return very well and aggressively but i still have faith in oudin....i think she's a little more solid and can reproduce the form that saw her go so well in wimbledon and the US open last year!

Sport Tennis
Event Evgeny Korolev v Lleyton Hewitt
Selection Korolev (+7) GH (Asian Handicap)
Strength 10/10
Date 23/06/2010
Bookmaker/Price 188bet @ 2.22 (Back)
Reasoning Lleyton Hewitt had the best grass season so far as he didn't lost at least one game, he even defeated Roger Federer in the final from Halle, so obvioulsy he is overrated at the moment. There are no doubts that Lleyton Hewitt is a great player on grass, but he just do not deserve to be in the position of a big favourite against a player like Evgeny Korolev. Even if Korolev still has a bad record on grass I will say that he is better than the stats show as he has played some good tennnis on grass recently but purely wasn't to be the winner in the end. Korolev has played against Giraldo and Simon recently, in both games he did impressed. Surely that Hewitt possess much more experience on grass than Korolev, but easy is not a word in this one as Korolev possess a good serve and can hit some great winners, he is playing with a lot of aggresiveness and that can always be so dangerous on grass. Hewitt is overrated at the moment as I have mentionated more because of his victory against Roger Federer, but in that final it was all about Federer's erorrs and not Hewitt's incredible tennis. All in all, Korolev's serve together with his powerful groundstrokes should create a lot of problems for Hewitt. Good Luck!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon kristina barrois plus 6.5 games against justine henin 5-6 paddypowers! 1 point think this is worth a pop to be honest! they played last week and barrois gave justine plenty of trouble! justine won 7-5,6-3 but it was a very competitive match!! barrois has a history of giving the big names difficulty in grand slams....took a set off dementieva in the australian open 18 months ago, pushed azarenka all the way in the french open last year, lost two tie-breaks to formew wimby semi-finalist zheng last year and should have beaten safina last year in the US OPEN! she's a feisty competitor with a nice backhand slice and she can play with plenty of variety! she's comfortable finishing points off at the net which she will probably have to do against an opponent like henin! it's also worth noting that henin has only once covered the 6.5 handicap in 18 matches!!!!! and yes some of those opponents ahve been top quality but i am also including the likes of pironkova, georges and zakapalova amongst those 18 games!! she's not hammering players the way she used to and i think she is even less likely to hammer players on grass!! barrois is a tough opponent and can keep it close for a while i reckon!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Tomas Berdych vs Benjamin Becker. Berdych -5.5 games. 1.90 @ Sportingbet

Becker is tired it was obvious in his first round match against Sweeting and last weeks demanding title defense in Hertogenbosch which failed has taken a lot out of Becker. Playing inform Berdych won't help the matters. Tomas is in demolishing mood once again and will fancy his chances to get this one done in straight sets and covering this handicap. Devastating Berdych against tired Becker looks very good for a -5.5 games handy on the Czech player.

Taylor Dent to beat Novak Djokovic. 5.00 @ Pinnacle

Djokovic was all over the place in the first round and should have lost but got through thanks to Rochus inability to serve consistently. Dent has got much more better serve and in current circumstances when Nole is clearly struggling for form big time he should not be rated so highly even not against player like Dent. Won't be surprised if this went the American's way.

Denis Istomin -3 games (AH) against Rainer Schuettler. 1.99 @ Pinnacle

Experience against top form in this match-up. Schuettler of course has been here and done everything before but he is out of form these days and can lose to everybody. Istomin had huge win against Wawrinka in previous round and has even taken a set from Nadal couple weeks ago so is in good form and will be up for this one. No reason to believe he can't win.

Vera Dushevina vs Tsvetana Pironkova. Over 20.5 games. 1.94 @ Pinnacle

This has 3 sets written all over it. Dushevina of course with a massive win against Schiavone in the first round so it will be interesting to see how he reacts after that. That is one of the reasons I would be cautious on backing her to win. This match will be all about serve. Funny thing to say considering this will be womens' match but both girls are strong on serve and groundies so basically there won't be long rallies, just short points and most likely very close match, not ruling out 3 sets here. Over 20.5 games anyway.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Shahar Peer vs Angelique Kerber. Peer -4 games. 1.85 @ 188bet

Pure difference in class here. Peer has most tour wins this year and still is being underestimated from time to time. Kerber nothing special and will struggle big time against in-form Peer. Easy win for the Israeli. Nothing more to say.

Yung-Jan Chan vs Nadia Petrova. Chan +6 games. 1.95 @ Expekt

Got betrayed by Petrova in previous round against Malek so going against the Russian this time. Chan destroyed Schnuder in round 1 here and will be able to get a decent result here, especially knowing the fact that Petrova has not been great in past 2-3 matches. She beat Malek by just 5 games. Surely Chan can match Malek's performance. Petrova overrated in this one for sure and that is wrong!

Alisa Kleybanova vs Alla Kudryavtseva. Kleybanova -3.5 games. 1.66 @ Bet365

Kleybanova is better than I expected. She had very easy win in 1st round and has got another easy match in prospect. Kudryavtseva prefers grass to other surfaces but she will struggle against Kleybanova's power as she has done in the past, besides her results have not been great lately. Easy win for Alisa and 3.5 games is a formality. Though odds are not great this should work and you might try even bigger handicaps.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Llodra @ 4.50 - Sportingbet Odds on Llodra dropped a bit since yesterday and it's expected considering his good form on graass. Roddick also likes to play at Wimbledon, he has all needed weapons for this surface but he's just far from his best form and 4.5 against such inconsistent player has to be taken. Llodra looks well enough to make some problems for American. Good luck. Dent @ 5.00 - Sportingbet This could be black WImbledon for big favourites, we could see that yesterday. I don't like one dimensional players like Dent but his powerful serve might frustrate Nole and we all know how shaky he is. Nole also out of form this season, he will probably get better later this season in hard courts season but now he's just not a 1.20-ish favourite against players of Dent's level. Fish v Mayer under 39.5 @ 1.88 - Pinnacle After watching Mayers win over Čilić in first round i can't rate Mayer higher than his objective level of quality cause Čilić sucked big time. His serve was just horrible(Marin's), his strokes in rallies were too soft even for player like Mayer and German just took what Croat offered. Fish looks much better in this matchup, he will be lot sharper than Čilić and will put Mayer's soft serve(around 180km/h's) on big test. I expect this to end under 30 games so this is a great bet.

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

denis istomin to beat rainer schuettler at 8-11 skybet 3 points! jurgen melzer to beat victor troicki 4-7 skybet 2 points will give reasons tonight!
the prices have shortened but i'll give my reasosn for these bets now! regarding istomin, i just really like his body language right now!! he's full of confidence and has absolutely no fear of serving games out which is an important trait to have in grand slam matches!! he's always had good groundstrokes but i think the reason improved so much over the last few months is that he seems to have done a lot of work on his movement!! schuettler really likes the grass and has good form coming into this tournament...semi-finals at queens but it has to be said he only really beat sela and a struggling monfils to get to that stage although he did give querrey a good match!! apart from schuettlers wimbledon semi-final apperance two years ago when the draw incredibly opened up for him, he has been very poor in grand slams....hammered in wimbledon last year by sela when he also appeared to be coming into the tournament in great form!! his serving is suspect and while he is an excellent returner he won't find it easy getting to grips with istomins big delivery!! istomin took a set off nadal in queens last week, and i saw him against wawrinka and he was outstanding in a high quality match....wawrinka played excellent also!! it might go to 4 or 5 as both players have a tendancy to be streaky and lose concentration so the overs handicap is worth looking at but i just have a good feeling about istomin right now and i think his groundstrokes are that bit more solid and reliable than schuettlers right now! regarding melzer, i think troicki is a good match up for him!he's already beaten him twice( though troicki did retire injured in one of those matches) troicki isn/'t really athat comfortable on grass......he doesn't like the low bounce and his forehand is particularly vulnerable on this surface!! i expect him to net a lot of forehands! no doubt his punchy serve will be very effective on this surface but one of melzers strengths is his returning so i expect that he'll be able to manufacture some chances to break! troicki has been beaten by petschner on grass this year and needed 5 sets to get past gimeno traver at wimbledon last year before getting hammered by murray!! melzer is an all court player, has elevated hios game to a new level this year....mostly due to new-found mental strength as he always had the shots! he will be full of confidence after his semi-final showing at the french open! his serve has really improved and he has a good game for grass...takes the ball early, nice low slice that will trouble troicki , very good hands at the net!! the only way i can see him lose thjis one is if all the tennis that he has played over the last few weeks catches up with him.....and he plays well below par as i think troicki is vulnerable on this surface! it's worth noting that melzer gave roddick a really tough 4 set match in wimbledon last year and he is an improved this year with renewed mental strength!! so 4-7 is a great price though it's gone now!!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Right didn't do any tips yesterday but gone for one double today. Roddick and V Williams -5.5 games handicap @3.2- Ladbrokes 10/10 Seen a couple of people going against Roddick here but I still fancy him to win comfortably. Hammered Ram easily but although Lloris is a good grass player, Roddick is still a class above in my opinion. Same goes for Williams, will win straight sets, so hopefully this will come through ;)

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Peter Luzcak @ $2.40 sportingbet Luzcak played really nice after the first set against robredo, i saw some interviews with him after the match and hes really happy with his form and consistency i think he will be too strong for a ageing clement who beat a really washed up tipsarevic value on this game is nice. Daniel Brands @$2.42sportingbet Brands has a big serve and looked impressive against andreev in round 1 , davydenko showed how much he doesnt like the big servers taking 5 sets to put away Anderson, another one here and i dont think davydenko has enough form to take this match!

Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

Marcel Granollers 3-0 2.50 Juan Carlos Ferrero 1.90 Jarkko Nieminen 1.40 Ivan Dodig 3-0 1.83 Dudi Sela +4.5 1.90 Fivefold bet365
4 of 5 bets won. Good start. Now it seems like Dent 5.00 is a good choice and Ilhan 2.37. Tomorrow Fognini 1.72 should win against the not so impressive 32 year old american Russell. I don't think Russell is going to be as fast as the younger Fognini who very nicely knocked out Verdasco. Dent 5.00 Ilhan 2.37 Fognini 1.72
