  1. Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 2nd November Ajax - Dinamo Ajax finally ended their streak of 5 games without a win in Eredivisie by beating Roda on away 4-0. That was their 5th win in eleven matches played in ED and they are currently 8 points behind AZ on the league table. It's important to say that they have also beaten Roda few days prior to the league win in national cup by 4-2, also in Kerkrade which indicates that they are in a good scoring form of late. From what i know FdB has no new problems with injuries and suspension for this game. Only Sigthorsson remains sidelined b
  2. Re: Backing short but valuable odds Current bank: 2000 EUR (1) Berlocq to beat Di Mauro. 1.25 @ Stan James (2) Rochus to beat Goffin. 1.40 @ Expekt
  3. Like the title says, i'll be trying to make long term profit in backing big favourites at shorter odds but only the ones which i consider as value bets. I'll be taking 4-5 bets a day at most with flat stake at 100 EUR. Initial virtual bankroll stands at 2000 EUR. All bookmakers allowed, exchanges are not. Singles only. I never tried this, let's see does any good can come out of it.
  4. Re: draw/to win by 1 Bank: 5000 EUR Boca vs Estudiantes : Draw @ 3.50 - 50 EUR Boca vs Estudiantes : Boca to win by 1 @ 3.50 - 50 EUR Palmeiras vs Ceara : Draw @ 4.00 - 50 EUR Palmeiras vs Ceara : Palmeiras to win by 1 @ 3.50 - 50 EUR
  5. Initial bank stands at 5000EUR(virtual of course, but if it'l work i may try with real money), stake per bet is 100EUR. I'll pick only two types of bets; draw and to win by 1 goal. I noticed that my gut feeling about these bets is quite reliable so i'll give it a go with this test to see how its going. On every match i'll stake 100EUR; 50 on draw and 50 on 'to win by 1'.
  6. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Roger Federer wins Novak Djokovic. 2.71 at Pinnacle Maybe it's too brave or im too biased but i think Roger stands a decent chances against current number 1, and without any doubt, the best player at this moment. Still, Roger has won their last meeting in Roland Garros only 3 months ago and 14 out of 23 overall, and that says something. Eventough Novak's form is incredbile lately and evetough he looks and is unbeatable i think Roger can give him a proper fight and make this match very close for Novak. Nole had some problems vs Tipsa in the last round althoug
  7. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Andy Roddick (+5) vs Rafael Nadal. 2.06 at Pinnacle Again going with Roddick but this time will take 5 games handicap instead of straight win. Rafa is much classier version of Ferrer and Roddick will surely have much more problems in this match but considering Nadal's physical condition and even his general form of late i think he stands a chance even for a win. In any case, Roddick plays well, his service is consistent and he's also quite solid from the baseline. His strong forehand made a lots of problems to Ferrer and Roddick played tactically almost a perfe
  8. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Murray -6.5 vs Lopez. 1.93 at Pinnacle I hardly see any surprises here. Murray is in great form of late altough he needed five sets to defeat Haase who take the first two. Anyway, it had to be only a bad period cause Murray easily won other 3 sets. Lopez first won japanese Ito and after that Pospisil made lots of problems to him in four sets. Before that Lopez lost to Kohli in Cincinatti. Lopez's shaky serve will be seriously tested here against probably the best returner on tour. Also, Murray will dominate in rallies so anything but a win for the brittish in s
  9. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Bennetau to beat Roddick. 3.30 at Pinnacle This is in fact my pick of the day and i see a really solid value here as Roddick just cannot be a 1.40.-something favourite against a guy who is obviously reaching his lifeform and plays every match like its his last. If someone watched him against Almagro he could see with how much confidence does Bennetau played and beside Almagro helping him a lot in that, Bennetau had the entire match under control. Roddick serve is not as consistent as it used to be, couple of times lately he got betrayed by his service and Benn
  10. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 James Blake to beat David Ferrer @ 3.50 bet365 No way i'll miss these odds. This has the potential to become a very close match and 3.50 on JB is really too much. Ferrer struggles a lot lately, i watched him against Simon in Cincinatti and it's obvious that this surface doesnt suit him at all. Blake will trouble him with his service, and he also has weapons from the baseline. Blake seems to be rising his form lately and i just can't see him being such underdog in this matchup. Blake won both of their mutual matches and both were played on hard. Ivan Ljubicic
  11. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Marin Cilic vs Bernard Tomic - Over 39.5 @ 1.81 Pinnacle (5/10) Usually i dont like taking such high margins but i have to give it a go this time. Odds are favouring Cilic(1.60), imho a bit too much but despite that i think he will prevail in this one. Personally, i expect very tough match. Both players are actually of quite similar skills, strong service and good play from the baseline but also both are not too consistent and are rarely winning their opponents in straight sets and without difficulties. Since this surface suits both perfectly i hope at least on
  12. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011 Alejandro Falla vs Tommy Haas - Alejandro Falla (-1.5) @ 1.91 Pinnacle (6/10) You just have to respect Falla's win over Troicki eventhough his results recently havent been impressive at all. Colombian did well according to reports and i believe he'll revenge for his defeat at USO from Haas two years ago. Not much difference between these two but Haas was long time out of serious tennis and i expect Falla to win this easier than expected. Haas needed 4th set to beat de Veigy, unknown frenchman who is currently 247th player on ATP rank list. GL Gael Monfils v
