Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 125 Folk8: 87 The Hon Tara, 87 Oddjob, 76 Sherwani Wolf Preview; This race revolves around a couple of newcomers even though Alan Kings Invictus has been withdrawn. Nicholls and Lavelle have decent bumper runners and those with proper form need to improve a bit. The Hon Tara and Oddjob have a chance of making the frame at fair prices and I expect improvement from Shirwani Wolf. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up Yesterdays race saw The Reformer win in a battling finish, he looked liked winning easily turning for home with the disappointing fav Arthurian Legend going backwards, however two others who were always up with the pace stuck on well, Grey Missile and the Hobbs second string Shinrock Hill and gave the winner a fright. Fontano back in fourth is one for a similar race in the near future. Stakes: 1465pts Returns: 1530.38pts Profit : 65.38pts Yield : 4.46% Top Rated Stakes : 1039 pts Returns: 1021.04 pts Profit: -17.96 pts Yield : -1.72% With the attack on the PL over the last week it made me realise that my data is at risk being web based so while the bad weather has interrupted things I have moved them to Raceform, at the same time I have slightly tweaked the master ratings making some adjustments to the scale. I have always found it tricky to evaluate the top races compared to those that are run on the gaf tracks and hopefully i'm nearer to solving that. For me the ratings have always been useful in picking out longer priced selections that may run well rather than following winners with penalties, i do believe carrying a 7lb penalty for a novice is a difficult thing to do unless they find a soft race obviously, hence why you wont see many short priced horses with penalties backed in here, I may fancy them to win but its just not value in the long term. Anyway, I shall plough on, the bad weather is frustrating just when things had begin to settle down form wise, now we will have loads of runners in the novice department once racing resumes all trying to pay catch up.

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 335 Chelt*: 89 Richmond, 88 Thorseby, 86 Roper Preview; Racing is back over the jumps and we have one novice race only to look at. The betting is dominated by newcomers and very well regarded ones too. Al Ferof was second in the champion bumper last season and has been waiting in the wings for his debut, be surprised if he's not straight for this. Henderson runs Prince Of Pirates, he would be odds on for many novice hurdles himself but bumps into the Nicholls runner. Of those with form Roper had a nice run last time when second at Huntingdon, he should win a race soon enough. Richmond and Thorseby ran close to each other at Warwick and maybe found wanting in this class.

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1210 Chel: 97 Sam Winner, 95 Pullyourfingerout, 94 Akula 340 Chelt: 97 Sybarite, 93 Join Together, 89 Old Wigmore Preview; Two nice novice races today at Cheltenham, lets deal with the 340 first, Golden Chieftain is the fav on his very impressive debut at Chepstow in the soft ground, he took command in the home straight and never looked liked being caught, he promises to stay this trip and should make a nice chaser next year for the Tizzards. Syabrite ran a promising race on debut behind Champion Court, the form could be anything but he did beat an experienced horse back in third and the trip will suit. Highland Valley won at Exeter last time in the mud and should relish the step up in trip. Of those at bigger odds Old Wigmore is an improving type although AP has been booked for the stables other runner Teaforthree. The 12.10 race is a very interesting event with 4 previous winners plus a debutant from the Henderson camp in A Media Luz who gets the sex allowance so is recieving lots of weight from the fav Sam Winner. She was group class on the flat in France so must be a danger if she takes to this game. Sam Winner was extremely impressive when winning the Triumph Hurdle trial here last month, he beat a decent field without much fuss and is the ante post fav for the big race in March on the back of that, carries a penalty here but can only improve and will be hard to beat. Pantxoa and Akula are both winners but will need to improve a few pounds to get involved in this class and Pullyourfingerout will go off from the front and could nick a place, his two victories were quite impressive and today will see how good he his. Nick Williams always does well in this type of race and his entry Hoartio Caine made late headway last time before finishing fourth, if he is given a more positive ride he may well improve enough to get involved. Bet: 1210 Ch: Pullyourfingerout 1pt EW (20/1 PP bog) 340 Ch: Syabrite 1pt EW (6/1 Bet365 bog)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up Sam Winner won well and was impressive again, the second fav from the Henderson yard pulled far too much early on and didnt get home. Pullyourfingerout ran as per expected and will be useful in his grade. Akula at 50/1 made it a 1-2-3 for the ratings. In the other race Mossley won with something to spare after idling in front, he looks a good prospect, Join Together improved to get second while fav Golden Chieftain was very disappointing but the stable didnt have a good day today so maybe give him another chance. Syabrite was withdrawn just before the off. Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 235 Hnt: 91 Skint, 87 The Hon Tara, 84 Court By Surprise, 84 Muldoons Picnic Preview; A third inspection at 11am will decide if this meeting goes ahead but need to shoot off so will post this now. A tricky little race with Skint heading the market and probably deserves too on his last run where he beat The Reformer who has gone in since, Sweet Irony was back in third who has run well since too. Court By Surprise also won last time but that was a weak race and needs to improve. Muldoons Picnic beat Roper over C/D and again would need to step up on that with the penalty while The Hon Tara was second at Plumpton and gets the sex allowance but she will need it here. Of the others Awsome Freddie looks the most likely to progress from the form he has shown so far, the King runners tend to improve for a run and could get involved. 235 Hnt: Skint 2pts (6/4 bet365)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1235 Plu*: 92 Omaruru, 91 Bun Oir, 85 Ultravox 105 Plu: 92 Brackloon High, 91 Skint, 91 Aviador Preview; Plumpton seems to have beaten the weather so we have two novice races to look at. The first is a juvenile race and we see the debut of the well regarded Comedy Act, bought for 125k and runs for Philip Hobbs, he seems to have found a fairly easy race and will be disappointing if he doesnt collect in this company. Bun Oir ran well at Punchestown before a disappointing debut for new connections in this country, he has it to prove now but obviosly has ability. Omaruru improved from his debut last time when second and should be therabouts again while Ultravox and Viviani need to show more than they have doen to date. The second race is a nice contest and with the weather holding horses up lately its bound to bring past winners together with such limited opportunities. We have Skint who was supposed to run yesterday in an easier contest but has now been re-routed to here where he finds 7 of the 12 runners have won either a hurdle race or a bumper. His run where he beat The Reformer still stands up but will find Brackloon High a tough nut to crack. He won well here over shorter before getting done for finishing speed behind Recession Proof next time, thats decent form and if they go a gallop he should be there at the finish. On Trend, Americo and Jetnova all won last time out but they were in weak races and this will be harder. Kind Of Easy is the bumper winner that recieves weight and may be a danger to all if taking to jumping. Bet; 1235 Pl: Omaruru 1pt EW (6/1 VCBet) 105 Pl: Brackloon High 1pt EW (3/1 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Comedy Act duly won at 2/5 but it wasnt that easy, early pace setter Mr Muddle kept on well and made the winner work. Omaruru stayed on for third without ever looking likely to pick them up. Skint was beaten by Jetnova in the other race, both look deecnt as does the third and fourth On Trend and Bunglasha Lady, the latter was quite eyecatching. Fav Brackloon High dropped out with three to jump and this run can be ignored. Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 115 Cat: 92 Chocolate Caramel, 92 Ceasars Return, 91 Rival D'Estruval 1235 Fol: 81 American Ladie, 79 Sire De Grugy, 79 Alarazi 135 Folk: 95 Oscar Papa, 86 Super Villan, 86 Oddjob Preview; Three races today, the one at Catterick sees Carpincho try to defy his penalty after a very easy success at Sedgefield, no doubt this is harder but hasnt stopped improving just yet. Moon Indigo also won last time, he was tried at 3m origionally so this trip/track may be a bit sharp. Chocolate Caramel is an 8yo but ran well on debut at Musselburgh so is entitled to be in the thick of it on that run. Rival D'Estruval looks a stayer and this might not be enough of a stamina test for him. At Folkestone the first race I see that Sire De Grugy has been withdrawn so it leaves the door open for American Ladie from the Alan King yard who are going well at the minute. Ran very well behind Sparky May and thats solid form and should go one better here. Alarazi won last time at Leicester and is the main danger. The last race is headed by Oscar Papa, Nick Giffords horses ran well yesterday and this looks to have a good opportunity to get his head in front after a good second last time out. A host of potential improvers are headed by Sherwani Wolf, Oddjob, Super Villan and Awesome Freddie in an interesting heat. Bets; 1235 Fol: American Ladie 2pts (13/8 PP) 135 Fol: Oscar Papa 2pts (13/8 PP) 1pt Double

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1250 Exe*: 92 Naughty Naughty, 82 Silver Gypsy, 77 Dun See Dee 1240 Tow: 88 Badgers Cove, 83 Stolen Thunder, 71 Skipper Robin 240 Tow: No Ratings over 70 Preview; Three races at two meetings today but the last at Towcester is a very poor event and none of the horses that have ran so far have anything to reccomend them and it looks good for a bumper horse, the Ian Williams pair look the pick of those. The first race at Towcester is not much better to be honest, Badgers Cove scrambled home on debut and then ran in a decent contest at Cheltenham last week where he was outclassed, the trainer thinks he a fair sort so this grade should be within his capabilities under a penalty, the downside is that he wants 3 miles but this track may play to his strenghts. The main danger has to be Stolen Thunder, he won a poor race at Uttoxeter after looking well held at one time, again his stamina won the day but the bare form is moderate. At Exeter we have a Mares event, Naughty Naughty heads the list, she fell last time when making headway but may want the ground a bit faster than this, has course form though and beat Dun See Dee here when they met, the latter should be more forward this time and shoulnt be much between them here. Silver Gypsy won easily at Uttoxeter but the race was dire but before that ran well and could be still on the upgrade. Setters Princess may be best of the rags, she wants a test and will get it here while the one that could beat them all is debutant Mizzurka, AP has been booked to ride this bumper winner and she doesnt have to be anything special to land this. Bet; 1240 Tow: Badgers Cove 2pts EW (4/1 Bet365) 1250 Exe: Silver Gypsy 1pt (9/4 Bet 365)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up Badgers Cove was outstayed by De Forgotten Man who returned to form after being a little frustrating, had ran well here before though. Gunna Be A Devil back in third should be able to pick up a small race too. Silver Gypsy won very nicely, led all the way and this mare hasnt stopped improving yet. The placed horses ran to form but dont want the ground as tacky as this also a comment for Mizzurka who ran ok on debut back in fourth. Upthemsteps won for Ian Williams in the other race on his debut but the race wasnt strong and may struggle under a penalty. Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1155 Asc: 90 Gurtacrue, 88 Poungach, 87 Easter Meteor 1225 Asc*: 89 Inga Bird, 81 Iron Chancellor, 71 Troy Tempest 135 Asc: 96 Toubab, 92 Frascati Park, 91 Kid Cassidy Racing Abandoned Preview; Well lets hope the 11am inspections passes ok as we have three nice races today at Ascot. We have two divisions over a staying trip of 2m 6f, the first is a decent contest with a few having fair form in the book, just one debutant that looks dangerous in Carabinier from the Henderson team. Fav is likely to be Poungach, he won a bumper and then was third to the useful Frascati Park on hurdles debut, he should stay 3m so is interesting in this grade, in that same race Easter Meteor was fourth. Gurtacrue ran well when second to Owen Glendower and then ran below that mark when second at Chepstow, he steps up in trip here. The second division is all about newcomers, the big stables are represented by Rock On Ruby, State Benefit and Viking Visitor and it would be a surprise if Inga Bird who has the best hurdles form is good enough although his third to Kauto The Roc reads well. The last race is a cracker, a Grade 2 contest with only 6 runners but four of them have very useful form. Fav Toubab is interesting, not always found the neccessary when off the bridle but you cant knock his win at Haydock. Frascati Park won well last time from the front and he may just set this race up for the likes of Toubab, has thrown the odd poor race in aswell. Kid Cassidy is the new kid on the block, won his bumper and then was impressive on hurdles debut at Newbury, he beat a good field that day and could be anything, today will prove a lot for him. Iolith from the King yard is no mug, he won at Kempton and although this is a step up in grade he deserves a crack. King also runs Araldur, a useful chaser on his day and may be here for a spin before going back jumping the bigger obstacles. Seeking The Buck had one try over hurdles a couple of years ago and is rated 87 on the flat, he may be aiming a bit high here. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Well we have waited a long time for some jumping action but Ffos Las comes to the rescue today. 1225 Ffos*: 91 Inga Bird, 87 Ardkilly Rebel, 84 Iron Chancellor 315 Ffos*: 84 Sorcillera, 82 Well Hello There, 82 Pilgreen Preview; Two races to have a look at, both big fields which is what we will see now for a few weeks with so many races lost. The two mile event at 3.15 sees the Henderson bumper winner Master Fiddle making his debut over hurdles, it was only a run of the mill event he won last season but will be fav here. Sorcillera recieves the mares allowance and ran well on debut when third to Dare Me, she could go well. Others with form are Well Hello There who was second last time, he may need a stiffer test in time. Pilgreen finished well on his debut and is sure to step up on that and Bishophill Jack will want a trip before seeing the best of him. The staying race again features a Henderson newcomer, State Benefit has won a point but has been lightly raced so may have had problems. Arkdilly Rebel is from the Hobbs yard and ran well last Feb on his debut, he looks a chaser as do a few of these. Inga Bird wasnt beaten far behind Kauto The Roc last time, he needs to brush up his jumping but could figure here. Father Probus will relish this trip after staying on last time and Iron Chancellor is another who will need 3 miles before too long. Bet: 315 Ffos: Sorcillera 1pt EW (12/1 bet365)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1230 Nb: 91 Pullyourfingerout, 88 Domtaline, 87 Grandouet 135 Nb: 96 Megastar, 93 Kid Cassidy, 85 Buddy Holly 210 Nb: 94 For Non Stop, 89 Backspin, 89 Act Of Kalanisi Preview; Three cracking races today starting with a fascinating juvenile hurdle, Smad Place is out now and he would have been hard to beat so it leaves a chance for Grandouet who was second behind Sam Winner, he carries a penalty for winning in France but if hes held up again he could go close. Pullyourfingerout is a nice horse, has front run but was held up just off the pace last time and it was probably his best effort. A Media Luz needs to settle and Domtaline has to forget a poor run last time. The second race is a match up between Kid Cassidy and Megastar on form with Rock On Ruby making his debut for the Nicholls camp. Megastar won well last time and beat Dare Me in a bumper which is rock soild form, he was 5th behind Cue Card at the festival and in time chasing will be his game, he can only improve from his debut and will be hard to beat, he needs to settle better though. Kid Cassidy is the horse AP told everyone to watch out for, he won here over C/D on his debut and obviously a smart horse, today will test him. The last novice race of the day is the Grade 1 Challow hurdle, Al Ferof is fav despite falling last time when leading, hard to say what would have happened but i'm in the camp that says he would have won, this is stronger anyway so will have to improve all round. For Non Stop won easily at Chepstow before running second to the smart Grands Crus in a handicap last time, he's improving fast and cant be ruled out. Backspin won a decent race at Bangor, this is a step up but i like the way he won that day. Act Of Kalanisi won on his debut but i'm not sure what he beat that day and this is much tougher by the looks of it. Bet; 210 Nb: Backspin 1pt EW (13/2 VCBet) 1230 Nb: Pullyourfingerout 1pt EW (6/1 Bet365)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up Off out earlyish in morning so get this done now. Grandouet was very impressive in the opener, always handy and took it up from PYFO going to the second last, A Media Luz was the only danger but was soon put in his place. Good performance was this. In the next debutant Rock On Ruby led all the way and was also impressive, Megastar and Kid Cassidy fought out the places so the form looks good. Backspin came to the rescue in the last, always up there and took it up two out for a very comfortable success, Al Ferof got round but didnt really threaten, better to come from him i'm sure and For Non Stop ran well for a long way but its always tricky rating handicap form in these races and may simply have been outclassed in the end. Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 115 Tau: 97 Crystal Rock, 92 Swinging Hawk, 84 Iolith 225 Tau*: 90 Chilli Rose, 87 Lucys Perfect, 82 Hill Forts Gloria Preview; Two low key races at Taunton today, the first sees the consistant Crystal Rock dropping back to novice company after a couple of near misses in handicaps. The last time he ran in a novice he was hammered by Drill Sergeant so we have to be wary. Iolith is interesting, ran below par last season when the stable were out of form but bounced back at Kempton when winning nicely despite a mistake at the last, he looks one to build on that. Swinging Hawk did nothing wrong at Aintree on his debut but will need to have improved while the Nicholls team has a debutant in Ange Guerrier another French import who could be anything. The second race is a Mares event, Chilli Rose hasnt ran since she was 8th to Banjaxed Girl in a listed race so this is a massive drop in class. The danger could be Semi Colon a bumper winner from the Henderson yard. Mizzurka ran out of steam on her debut and could yet improve. Bet: 115 Taun: Iolith 2pts (3/1 bet365)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Have to do the round up later, need to be out soon. 250 War: 85 Midnight Macarena, 83 Way Back When, 81 Good Falou 1210 Utt: No Rating Over 70 1240 Utt*: 80 Tornado Bob, 56 Lindengrove, 52 Tanwood Boy Preview; Surprisingly poor races today, thought the trainers would be sending out better animals now the snow has gone, not big fields either? Anyway at Warwick we probably have the best of the three races with Alverstone on a retrieving mission, she won well at Chepstow first time out and then was well and truly slammed by Sparky May who is a decent mare. The worry is the distance and how soon she was beaten that day but this is a drop in grade and if bouncing back will be hard to beat no doubt, trouble is do you want to be piling in at a short price on a horse that carries a penalty in soft ground that has ran below par last time? Alternatives are a bit thin on the ground, Midnight Maracarna and Good Falou ran behind Risaala at Huntingdon and should finish close together again but the form doesnt look that special while Annimation beat Way Back When at Exeter but has ran poorly since. Way Back When could reverse the form, she looks a stayer and this longer trip should see some improvement and the stable are going well. At Uttoxeter its pretty dire stuff, the first race is surely primed for a debutant, Maxdelas making his brittish debut and Railway Dillion look the two to concentrate on. The other heat isnt much better, Tornado Bob has by miles the best form but has the Hobbs bumper winner Herdsman to contend with and he wont have to be that special to make a winning debut. Bet; 250 War: Way Back When 1pt EW (13/2 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up On Thursday Iolith ran as expected and was pretty pleased with the race as a whole, the fav Crystal Rock was well backed but was beaten two out, he looks a one paced animal and needs handicaps. Iolith could go on from here as he was quite impressive. Lucys Perfect won the other race at 14/1, she battled on well after looking beat, the fav Semi Colon may find a weak race next time. Chilli Rose was beaten miles out and obviously didnt run her race. On Friday Alverstone got back to winning ways, leading for most of the trip and outstaying Way Back When over the last two, they pulled well clear of the rest. Tornado Bob was backed off the boards and won very easily, the Hobbs debutant needed the experience and will improve a bit. Preview; Three meetings and 5 races to plough through, by far the best is obviously the 2m4f Neptune at Cheltenham. Bobs Worth beat a decent field at Kempton without too much fuss, his jumping needs sharpening up but should improve for the trip too. Astrocad has been taking on the best of late and this is a real step back down in class so he could be dangerous. Habbie Simpson won under his penalty at Warwick but it wasnt a great race so this should test him a lot more and Easter Meteor promises to build on his fourth behind Frascati Park. At Exeter Mr Hudson will be a warm fav to win the opener, he beat Madison Du Berlais at Wincanton and looks the type to improve again, he gives weight away to one or to promising types so I dont think it will be that easy. Gunner Be A Devil finished close up at Towcester last time which gives him a chance and Accordingtolawrence won an ordinary race on heavy ground last time and this will be difficult with the penalty. Filbert and Lord Liath from powerful stables are also in the mix. The other race there is dreadful and Bermuda Boy looks the one that may improve enough to win. Fakenham isnt blessed with class, two divisions of a maiden hurdle in which the first is quite tight on the figures, Lap Of Honour has form from 2009 and if back to his best could run well while I quite liked the way Aviador ran when a massive price behind Jetnova, this is more his grade and should go close. Sire De Grugy is fav but will need to improve from his debut when slammed by Bobs Worth, this is a step down in class though so I can see why he has his supporters. In the last race Ultimate Quest has a chance to put a very poor run last time behind him, before that ran a promising second to one of the Henderson horses, that form will be good enough here although the step down in trip isnt ideal. Bets; 1200 Fak: Aviador 1pt EW (5/1 WH) 1220 Ch: Bobs Worth 1pt (11/4 WH)

Time For Spring beat Hong Kong Harry at Ascot over a trip and looks a promising type, carries the penalty but looks capable compared to De Forgotten Man who won a poor race at Towcester. Alan King runs Invictus on his debut and he will be dangerous. Mister Hyde has done well in handicaps and may find one or two too good here. The other race at Plumpton is a 4yo race, three contenders here led by Gibb River from the Henderson yard, he won in good style at Huntingdon and should go close. Extremely So was a big priced winner on debut beating American Ladie, he battled well that day and will be in the mix, same applies to Mr Muddle who recieves all the allowances, he made the promising Comedy Act work hard on her debut and is the likely pace setter. At Folkestone we have a very competative affair with a few in with a shout, Yabora and Global Power head the market with Red Mile and Definite Dawn looking the main challengers. Global Power is a real stayer and won last time here, he had Red Mile in behind that day but should confirm the form. Yabora weakened over 3 miles and then last time ran in a better race at Cheltenham over 2m1f, this should be more to his liking but still needs to convince. At Ayr we kick off with a cracking little race and a clash between Lively Baron and Storm Brig, both unbeaten and both impressive on debuts, I like Storm Brigs form and expect big things from him. Sunarri has improved of late and could make the frame. In the other race Rupert Lamb looks to have Lady Bluesky to beat, his second to Palace Jester looks the best overall form and should go one better. Bets; 1220 Ayr: Storm Brig 2pts (5/2 bet365) 225 Folk: Global Power 1pt (5/2 WHill)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up Bobs Worth stood out from Saturdays action, he travelled really well and stayed on up the hill, he will be aimed higher now. Rose Of The Moon and Habbie Simpson ran with credit. Lethal Glaze fell at the second last when going well and should find another race soon on this showing. It was a frustrating day yesterday, firstly Storm Brig was pulled out and then we saw Lively Baron scrape home, he should have won more easily without the main danger in the race, we will never know now. Global Power was travelling sweetly in fourth when he slipped and fell three out, the fav Yaboa was left a present and couldnt take it although the winner No Secrets did nothing wrong. Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 1230 Ayr: 86 The Starboard Bow, 85 First Fandango, 83 Vosges 1220 Her*: 85 Gurtacrue, 64 Matroes Lady, 57 Another Kate 1250 Her*: 85 Saras Smile, 81 Freckle Face, 78 Just Dave 145 Ling: 81 Zakeeta, 79 Radius Bleu, 57 Prince Of Valour 250 Ling: 89 Shinrock Hill, 67 Remember Now, 65 Mut'Ab Preview; Lingfileld has passed the inspection and the ground will be very heavy so you need to be a bit wary. Shinrock Hill should collect in the 2.50, he ran a cracker behind The Reformer at Exeter and that will be good enough here, Remember Now was too free on his debut and should improve but although he should have a bright future i'm not sure we will see the best of him this season or on this ground. The other race at Lingfield sees Zakeeta and Radius Bleu doing battle, I liked the way Zakeeta won her two races at Fontwell and then wasnt disgraced behind Sam Winner at Cheltenham. Radius Bleu is rated 125 over fences and made his debut this year in a hurdle race similar to this over c/d, he was a staying on second that day and is entitled to go close again. Venetia Williams runs a newcomer in Gorgehous Lliege, he won his bumper in good style and could be a useful sort, not sure the stable are firing on all cylinders just yet but one or two have ran well recently. We have just one race at Ayr, most of these juveniles have had just the one run so far and we have a couple of real promising types taking on each other. The Starboard Bow was quite impressive when leading all the way on his first run, he stayed on really well and has a future over hurdles. First Fandango won at Ffos Las, was well backed and won without much fuss, the festival is the taget for this one so must go close here. Ex French horse Vosges ran ok on debut but may find the front two too good here. At Hereford the two races are pretty similar in that they could go to newcomers as the form of those with experience isnt that great. The first race Charminster and Whoops A Daisy are heading the market, both unraced over hurdles for McCain and Henderson. The one with form is Gurtacrue, his second behind Owen Glendower was a fair effort. The other race the first three in the betting are all making their debuts, Sollim runs for AP and Nicholls, gets a hefty age allowance so should make his mark. Kells Belle and Spanish Treasure are bumper winners and could be anything. Saras Smile ran fourth behind Backspin and that form is ok and is a pretty big price and might run well again. Bets; 1250 Her: Saras Smile 0.50pt EW (25/1 PP) 1230 Ayr: The Starboard Bow 2pts (9/4 PP) 145 Lin: Zakeeta 1pt EW (6/1 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Round Up I think we saw some nice horses today that will go on to make their name later on in the season. Most impressive for me was Captain Kirkton at Lingfield, he travelled well throughout and quickened in the mud to win easily, he will be aimed much higher soon enough. At Hereford Spanish Treasure stood out for me of the two Maiden winners, he was caught a bit flat footed at one stage but came through nicely and is better than the bare form suggests. On the betting front it wasnt a great day, Zakeeta after having moved nicely stopped suddenly, must have been the ground, and she will have another day i'm sure while The Starboard Bow lost his race by getting involved in a scrap for the lead with Vosges who ran a cracker. Saras Smile faded from the home turn despite being backed from 25/1 to 12/1, maybe a little handicap can come her way when the ground improves. Cant complain;) Bets; 1250 Her: Saras Smile 0.50pt EW (25/1 PP)lost 1230 Ayr: The Starboard Bow 2pts (9/4 PP)lost 145 Lin: Zakeeta 1pt EW (6/1 VCBet)lost Stakes: 1506pts Returns: 1581.61pts Profit : 75.61pts Yield : 5.02% Top Rated Stakes : 1076 pts Returns: 1030.34 pts Profit: -45.66 pts Yield : -4.04%
