Pick of the races is at Kelso, a Grade 2 race and i'm a big fan of Storm Brig, has been very impressive in his races so far and this is his biggest test, all of his opponesnts have the ability to get involved but think he hasnt stopped improving yet and expect to see him get the hat trick, Desert Cry may be the danger. At Newbury Rangitito should get Ruby Walsh a winner in the three miler, he ran well on his debut and this race lacks depth. The Doncaster race is wide open and Brother Bob deserves a win after decent seconds at Newcastle and Aintree. Cant get too enthusiastic about either of them and if pushed wouls side with the top one. Over at Huntingdon, we have two maiden hurdles and first one sees the Henderson horse First In The Queue, he was brought down behind Brampour when closing in and must have every chance here in this weaker race. Robin De Creuse has ran a couple of respectable races and should pose the main threat. The last race is headed by another Henderson horse in Sizing Ireland, a bumper horse who couldnt manage a win so not sure if he will be one of the stables leading lights, might be worth taking him on with something. Baan is progressing but didnt rate the race much he was in last time and Loch Ba might be worth a second look, he got loose at Towcester before the race but before that was 5th in that good novice race of Backspins at Bangor. The former has ran two good seconds and has the best form overall, the bottom weight Glassawine ran third on his debut and gets the age allowance but lacks experience. At Ffos there are not many runners but its quite competative, Murcar has a chance on earler form, Tenby Jewel ran well here last time and Jolly Roger takes a drop in class after running gainst some useful types and maybe just has the edge here. Hazy Dawn and Time To Think have penalties and look weighted out of it. Pepite Rose won last time but she doesnt convince me somehow? Pretty average stuff at Newcastle with Lucky Sunny attempting to go one better than last time here, he was beaten by a decent horse that day and may get compensation. The last race sees Tiptoeaway as fav, he's had four goes already and been placed three times so is becoming frustrating, if he fails to take this chance again the filly at the bottom may take advantage. I like White Diamond, she has progressed steadily and could get involved today while Lesandra gets her ground and should improve for it. At Fontwell Clowance House is fav for the first but steps up in trip and wears blinkers for the first time, a lot of ifs and buts and 6/4 dosnt appeal win or lose. Sum Laff is a out and out stayer and may want 3 miles and Zakeeta might run better today after having heavy ground the last twice. In the 3.00 Gurtacrue has a chance to open his account over hurdles after being placed three times, beaten by a couple of useful types last time and this is easier. Allerford Jack, Penchesco and Coolbeg all have place claims. Tigre D'Aron looks the safest option for those wanting to pile in on one, he is well regarded and should take this race on the way to much better things. Baile Anrai and Renard D'Irlande are fancied at Folkestone but has been handicapping and the other carries a penalty so wont be interested in them at short prices. Over at Wincanton the races are a little more competative but lack any depth, Spirit Is Needed ran well on debut and then was left behind at Doncaster in a fair race and has a good chance here in less demanding company. At Ayr its a shocking race and Irish horse Drumbaloo comes here for an easier time than of late at home, he has the Nick Richards pointer Realt Mor to beat. At Wincanton the mares race is tricky, Kells Belle won nicely last time and has the penalty, she may be good enough to see off Violin Davis who has been beaten twice and Chilli Rose may be the danger, she has promised a lot but hasnt delivered as yet. The last race is a match between the Henderson and Nicholls camps, Thanks For Coming is a chaser in the making and Bold Addition may like the extra distance but it has to be said both have been disappointing and they have been lucky to have found such a weak contest. The race at Ayr has just 4 runners and Omokoroa is odds on, he ran 4th on debut at Wetherby and needs to improve on that. Sole Witness the Irish challenger is officially rated 114 and sets the standard. At Chepstow at least we have some runners but its pretty average stuff, Cresswell Crusader is miles ahead of anything that has ran and was well backed on his debut, to be honest I thought he got a pretty poor ride that day and lots of improvement is expected. Paul Nicholls runs a couple of his lesser lights that have been pointing and will be backed as per usual. Balerina looks a cut above anything at Taunton and the danger will come from the Henderson newcomer. At Plumpton the race is much more competative, the paper fav's Shootin The Breeze and Amaury De Lusignan havnt really acheived much and the likes of Two Cloudy and Twin Bud at bigger prices are better value. Politelysed had showed nothing until placed in a handicap last time and thats his game rather than this. At Cheltenham we have the first of four novice races at the festival and have been a fan of Cue Card all season, not deserting him now but it wont be easy. Quite like Al Ferof and he may get a place, he seems sure to be handy throughout and steer clear of any trouble in running. At the festival the Neptune market looks dominated by the Irish with Oscars Well and So Young heading things, Oscars Well certainly has the form in the book but So Young is unproven at this class. Of the English horses I like Rock On Ruby, his form is pretty solid behind Bobs Worth and has ran here before so wont lack for experience. At the welsh track the first race concerns just two, Di Kaprio was third to Sorinter Sacre at Ascot but will appreciate this decent ground and should be too strong for Midnight Tuesday on his seasonal reappearance. The other race is a cracker with 5 of the 7 runners in with a chance. I like Total Submission, I reckon this trip will see the best of him and most to fear from Buck Mulligan and Swingkeel. At Newcastle its dire stuff, Jukebox Melody has to defy a penalty for winning last time and Rumble Of Thunder is the danger, he has steadily iimproved and could make full use of the weight concession.
