Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 Kel: 102 Wise Hill Teabags, 90 And The Man, 89 Quel Elite 230 Lin: 88 Archie Rice, 82 Spirit D'Armor, 81 Storm Survivor 300 Lin: 91 Cleaver, 90 Hildisvini, 87 Junior Jack Preview; At Kelso Wise Hill Teabags tries to follow up his good effort here when third in a Grade 2 event, he had won at Musselburgh previous to that. And The Man finished a long way in front of Inoogoo at Ayr last time and is progressing, needs to step up again here to beat the fav. Quel Elite has been running well without getting involved and may nick a place at a fair price. At Lingfiled we have two races, the first sees Archie Rice reappear after his strange race at Huntingdon, he was out the back and made up lots of ground in the straight and was the subject of a lot of questions afterwards. Timmy Murphy takes over and if that run was to be believed he should collect here. The race lacks any depth so debutant The Strawberry One could be the danger. Hildisvini is odds on for the last race, he beat Kid Cassidy last time and thats decent form, Not Til Monday also carries a penalty and needs to put a poor run behind him. Junior Jack made a pleasing debut back in January and could improve and get involved. Bets: 230 Lin: Archie Rice 3pts (7/4 VCBet) 210 Kel: Quel Elite 1pt EW (12/1 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 Kem: 90 Raya Star, 90 Smart Catch, 88 Somewhatinevitible 315 Kem: 99 Basford Bob, 96 Romulus D'Artaix, 94 Silver Accord 230 Exe: 89 Marino Prince, 85 Leopard Hills, 85 Stir On The Sea Preview; At Exeter we have a poor seller and not a race in which to get involved with, fav Marino Prince has obvious claims but not a bet at odds on. Kempton has a couple of nice races, the first Shuil Royale is fav on his third behind Hildsvini at Sandown, he won again yesterday so the form is solid, not sure it squares up with Raya Star, he won a nice race at Doncaster but does carry the penalty. The last race is a puzzle with a few capable of winning, Basford Bob ran well on SAturday when tried over a longer trip and should be up to winning this, has pulled hard in the past but settled better last time. Henry King will try to lead all the way but it will be hard under a double penalty, Romulus D'Artaix is the danger. 315 Kem: Basford Bob 3pts (9/4 VCBet)

Highway Code should also win and might be odds against. Cantlow is odds on in the 5.00 at Haydock but he looks poor value to me and maybe the one to let down the accca's. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 Ch: 99 American Ladie, 95 Saras Smile, 54 Rolline 335 Sth: 80 Wizard Of Odds, 75 Ballagio, 75 Barnack Preview: At Chepstow the mares race should go to American Ladie, her third to Red Merlin last time looks ok although she has kept finding ways to get beat. Sara's Smile is the only danger and has some fair form so wont be a pushover. The race at Southwell is a poor one and no surprise if debutant Roll The Dice is good enough for the Hobbs yard. Of those that have ran Wizard Of Odds is pretty exposed but a rating oif 110 gives him a chance in this grade. Ballagio is less exposed and the step up in trip looks sure to benefit and should go close. Bet: 335 Sth: Ballagio 1pt EW (4/1 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 New: 96 Bless The Wings, 92 Easter Meteor, 89 Bardolf 220 Seg: 93 Alpha One, 91 Shadows Lengthen, 88 Bridlingtonbygones 325 Seg: 96 Priceless Art, 85 Bocciani, 60 City Ground Preview; Just the one race at Newbury and its quite competative, Easter Meteor has been set some stiff tasks to date, his last run was better in lesser company and may find one or two too good here. Bless The Wings didnt stay last time so forget that run, before that had shown some ability. Oasis Knight could be dangerous, had two runs now and both promising, has got the ground he needs too. At Sedgefield in the first Shadows Lengthen should follow up his Catterick win, he was impressive that day and the manin danger could be Scriptwriter, not as good as last season but still very capable. The last race wont take much winning and Priceless Art should get off the mark here, ran very well on debut and then was beaten in a much better race next time, he recieves a stone from the top one so will be disappointing if he cant land this. 335 Seg: Priceless Art 4pts (6/5 VCBet)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 400 New: 98 Kid Cassidy, 94 Fontano, 93 Tony Star 240 Ban: 92 Our Mick, 90 Bears Affair, 60 Steeldrivinman 220 Str: 91 Pilgreen, 71 Luck N Thanks, 60 Abayaan Preview; One race at each meeting, Pilgreen looks a cert at Stratford, his form is miles better than anything, Hes Our Lad a debutant may chase him home. At Bangor its a two horse race, Bears Affair is long odds on but wont have it all his own way with Our Mick in opposition, it could be closer than the bookies think. Best race is at Newbury where Kid Cassidy has got to start to show his promise, very highly regarded by McCoy but only won once, side stepped the frestival and should really win this. Tonys Star could be the forecast bet. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 Pl: 94 Leitzu, 84 Highly Regal, 81 Ragdolliana 310 No Ratings 330 Tow: 91 Araldur, 90 Break The Chain, 76 Lombardy Boy Preview; Not very competative stuff, Sircozy is the only one rated in the 310 and Leitzu should get off the mark in the opener, she was second last time and recives all the allowances. Araldur only has Break The Chain to beat at Towcester but will be odds on to do so. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 210 Her: 95 Swift Lord, 91 Dubai Crest, 91 Nobunaga 340 Her: 86 Reginaldinho, 85 Sizing Ireland, 83 Thingathong Preview; Two races today, the last one is a pretty moderate affair with Sizing Ireland fav due to the connections rather than the average form he has shown so far, this is weak so may be up to it but not at short odds. Reginaldinho is pretty similar and i'd rather look at Cap Falco and Thingathong for each way value. The first race on the bare figures Swift Lord should beat Dubai Crest, he was in front of him at Doncaster and the latter has now got a penalty for winning a poor race since. Raya Star fell the other day but would be the best of those with penalties in my eyes. Bet: 210 Her: Raya Star 1pt (100/30 Lads) 340 Her: Cap Falco 1pt EW (11/2 PP)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers

Impressive figures as always BH
Thanks Stu although not strictly true; The profit has just been up and down most of the season to be honest, i've tinkered with the ratings a little due to changing the way i keep them and the season has been average, the wet weather in Dec/Jan spoilt a lot of the novice races, many abandonments meant we had a interupted spell and then they were all trying to get a run when the weather dried up. I'm going to carry on until the season ends in April and then have a look at what's worth doing after that for the new season ahead if anything. May just have an EW thread as I cant have these novices at silly prices like Sizing Ireland today for example, terrible value and there is plenty of them, for every bad fav there is value elswhere!

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 235 Lud: 92 Seren Cwmtudu, 91 Kaituna, 83 Bully Wuskers Preview: Just the one race as the flat begins to take over, a mares race and Seren Cwmtudu should start fav, her win at Taunton from Violin Davis has been enhanced and a repeat of that could be good enough, didnt stay 3 miles in soft last time. Kaituna doesnt seem to be progressing now and Kings Queen may be the danger as she could still be on the upgrade. 235 Lud: Seren Cwmtudu 2pts (15/8 PP)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 230 New: 104 Lovey Dovey, 97 Eighteen Carat, 90 Jago River 300 New: 91 Jammia, 84 Dancing Art, 84 Luso's Lad, 78 Fill The Power 210 Str: 97 Goodwood Starlight, 94 Falcon Island, 87 The Hague Preview; The race at Stratford has plenty of runners with form and Goodwood Starlight the fav won a poor race last time and escapes a penalty as it was for conditionals, he has a chance but Falcon Island's second at Newbury reads a lot better, he was behind Topolski that day and this is easier. At Newcastle in the first Lovey Dovey has Eighteen Carat to beat and recieves the age allowance and nearly a stone from his rival, Jago River is the other option. The last race is at the mercy of Jammia if he runs, Dancing Art is the obvious danger. Bet; 210 Str: Falcon Island 2pts EW (7/2 PP)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 300 Utt: 96 Robin De Creuse, 88 Croan Rock, 75 Four Strong Winds 215 Chp: 97 Bally Legend, 97 High Benefit, 96 The Chazer 245 Chp: 96 Rangitoto, 93 Cresswell Crusader, 91 Storming Gale 320 Chp: 89 Hazy Dawn, 88 Super Directa, 75 Thomas Wild Preview; Just one race at Uttoxeter and fav Robin De Creuse tries 2m4f, he has been quite consistent but never looked liked winning. Croan Rock could be an improver, the stable are going well and he must have a chance in this grade. Henderson runs Wise Move who was well beaten on debut at Ascot. At Chepstow we have three races and the first two are very nice races. The opener is wide open with many capable of winning, Street Dance made a pleasing debut at Ffos Las and will be interesting under a penalty. We have 8 previous winners in this so the penalties wont matter as much, I quite like Grey Gold back at 2 miles, he was impressive in the soft a couple of runs back. The second race looks between Rangitoto, Cresswell Crusader and Storming Gale, I like the McCain horse, he won well on debut and then fell last time when beat, if he can bounce back on this better ground then he will be hard to beat. Rangitoto was third last time when well fancied, he needs three miles i reckon and Cresswell Crusader should have won by now, not sure if he needs stronger handling. Bets; 300 Utt: Croan Rock 1pt EW (7/2 PP) 215 Chp: Grey Gold 1pt EW (15/2 VCBet) 245 Chp: Storming Gale 1pt EW (4/1 SJ) 320 Chp: Hazy Dawn 1pt EW (9/1 WH)

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers Do these early as no time tomorrow; 305 MR: 94 Kayaan, 93 Kings Fingal, 92 Dica, 91 Higgys Ragazzo Preview; Higgys Ragazzo beat Kayaan last time by just under 3 lengths, the 7lb pull Kayaan gets is good enough on bare figures but the winner could have won by much more so should confirm the placings. Kings Fingal disappointed last time in a handicap but the stable are flting at the minute and may be dangerous. Dica won on his debut but is the wrong side of the weights here against the 4 year olds.

Re: NH Novice Hurdlers 400 Kel*: 98 Kings Grey, 93 Rupert Lamb, 84 Dechiper 600 Kel: 93 Bogside, 89 Foot The Bill, 75 Toms Toybox Preview; Bogside looks a good thing in the last race, won well and then ran fifth in a Grade 2 race here and that looks way and above anything else. Foot The Bill could be the one for the forecast. The first race sees Realt Mor trying to gain compensation for his fall when looking all over the winner on his debut. Kings Grey and Rupert Lamb offer decent opposition so he will have to be as smart as they reckon. No Bet
