Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May)

Recommended Posts

Mr Cecil only has the 1 runner at southwell in BIRDINTHEHAND 1st time out but will know what the game is all about, the filly is by nayef and should take this onto better things, cant see it being much of a price maybe around 2/1 but i cant see anything in the race that will live with her, if she wins its one for the N/B for the future as H.Cecil is a very shrewd trainer with his newcomers. ave it.. SOUTHWELL 4-30 Birdinthehand to win.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 2.30 Southwell - Spic n Span Win Lost to Guto lto by a head when wearing 4lbs more than him, 2 races before that beat Guto wearing just 1lb more. Guto came 2nd to Colours in March wearing 2lbs more. This but is quite awkward but here it goes. Colours is A, Guto is B, Spic n span is C. Now B beat C when 4lbs lighter C beat B when 1 lb heavier A beat B when 2 lbs lighter Today A and B are wearing the same and C is 2lbs lighter. I know that explanation I know that explanation is ridiculous but to me it says the Spic n Span © will win.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 20.05 5f handicap Rio Sands supernap 2pts think that there will be support for this today in the 5f race, plum draw in 1, had a couple of runs to blow away the cobwebs, should be ready to put his best foot forward. must be up there off a mark of effectively 61 with the claimer on, trainer knows the time of day, plenty of positives and too big at this price. the rain in yorkshire shouldn't be any problem, and would expect the going to be good. guaranteed pace in stall 2 from angle of attack, the race should be set up for a finisher, and rio sands is coming into his time of year. __________________

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 3:00 Southwell - Royal Dignitary - Back Looks a mile well in all round. Claimer so rated 85 and on official ratings he has quite a few pounds in hand at least on all of these, despite being top weight. Best form horse in the race too, with the biggest bonus being c&d winner. 4/5 looks a really fair price 1pt win

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 16.20 Fakenham Kadount 1pt win The likely favourite, Care And Share looks the one to beat in this race, but i'll opt for Kadount instead. Won this race last year and carrying the same jockey today as on its last two wins. According to the RP site, Kadount has had a couple of disappointing runs this year on the point to point ( last one 9 days ago), so may be more race-fit than the 355 days off since last run suggests.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) Fakenham 14.50 Mistral de la cour 1 pt win The horse seems to find his form. Michael o'Connel will ride him once again and will claim a little bit. The main bunch of favorits are very well put up with weights. Mistral last win was on June on g/f ground and on almost the same distance. Just to mention that the same horse has a win over Kauto Star four years ago :)

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 720 Exeter: ASHWELL LAD e/w Hasn't won yet, but 9 places from 20 starts so far. Dropping from class 4 handicap to a class 5 novices handicap here, his form in novices has been better than when upped in class. Dropped a good 9lbs since his last run up a grade gives him a fighting chance here.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 250 Fakenham - Blueberry Ice ew 2 runs ago the first 2 were having first run for new stables and both showed improvement in form. Even though Blueberry Ice was well beaten that day, the winner has turned out to be well handicapped in hindsight as have won his next 5 and is now rated 130 compared to 77, and won his last race in a class 2 handicap - the race in which Blueberry ice finished behind him was a class 5 selling handicap! Ground against him last time and should improve on good to firm today.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) Hello, ok, my first post. Hey everyone!! :rollin 3.10 Chepstow. Captain Kallis - Win Started the season in a class 4 race and came 3rd and ran well in that race. Now in a class 6 race. Will suit the horse a lot better. The best jockey for this horse is on it, Frankie McDonald. Has a very good weight and the distance suits as well.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 2-30 southwell-calmdown mate- this horse as a great record here-only finishing twice out of the frame the only thing he as a problem with is his draw[8]his last run was on turf in an higher grade race than this but if he gets the breaks he needs no reason to think he wont be in the thick of things

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 2.30 Southwell Plenty of pace in this line up, and that could set it up for one of the hold up performers. Namir has only ever won on turf, whilst Guto is considerably worse at the weights with Spic N Span on their Claimer 1-2 last time, leaving the way clear for After The Show to make a strong finish and obtain his first win in just over a year.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 220 Fakenham : Treaty Flyer Wasnt going to select one today as I thinks its very poor and tricky but the more I look at the first at Fakenham the more I like Treaty Flyer. Won well last time in a claimer that had one or two fair horses dropping in grade. This is no stronger race in my opinion and while the ground is like this he could win again. AP takes the ride which has shortened him up a touch but beggars cant be choosers eh!

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) Southwell 4.30 Ostaadi Win Ran green but finished just in front of Horsley Warrior on debut over 10f at Newmarket last month - finished 7th but not given too hard a time. Should confirm the placings with Horsley Warrior and will benefit greatly for that first run. Pedigree suggests that this surface should suit so very possible that this one could give the Gosden favourite Pergamon a decent run for it's money.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) Mozayada Southwell 15.30 IMO the race looks between two course specialists in the selection and bookiebasher babe both being C&D winners. Think Mozayada is the more capable at winning at the weights, bookiebasher babes 6lb penalty could be the difference.:ok

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) GOOD OLD DAYS 2.50 Fakenham. 0.5 points each way. Has the ability to go close here and the trip and ground wouldn't be a concern. Gets in this race off a mark of 80 which would look very attractive and can improve on his latest run. Appears to have every chance.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) now 310 chep. 0.5 pts ew. looks sure to improve for handicaps and races off an attractive mark if improvement is imminent. the trip and grounds no problem and at around 11/1 looks worth a bet.

Crank Hill runs under a 7 lb penalty as a consequence of a win at Towcester eight days ago. He won very comfortably that day, so looks well treated before the handicapper has chance to react, and he is proven to stay this trip. Although he pulled up on his last visit to this track his last time out win proves he does handle right-handed, testing tracks and he did infact place here over hurdles several years ago. 1 pt win

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 16:50 Fakenham - Briery Star Forever improving horse that has been consistently "up there" in recent races. Seems to be able to handle this distance even though it's last run was at 2m110y. Fairly low in the weights in this race, and think it has a real chance of finally getting it nose in front for the first time. 1pt WIN.

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) Catterick 8.05 - Racoon - EW Getting on a bit now at 9 years old, but he won last time out at Nottingham which is the best recent form on offer tonight. ( The 'Life' says it was a new track record, which is a bit difficult to believe with a field of class 6 handicappers ! ) The ground has come in his favour as pretty much all his wins have been on good to firm over a sharp 5 furlongs - he's won twice over CD Up to 68 after his last win, but he has won off higher marks a couple of years ago Currently showing at 9/1..........

Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 7.20 Exeter - Crank Hill Won easily for first time check-pieces and should run another good race today. The contest he faces is actually a drop in class and unless the race isn't too soon, he should take it.
