Maybe something of a surprise for the stable. Looks likely to improve again. Autumn Lily won well too on her sole start and she looks another that could improve and go very close. Saeed Bin Suroor won this last year and although she is the second string Autumn Lily looks likely to run a big race. 3:05 Royal Ascot: Sir John Hawkswood 1pt win 9/1 Stan James Sir John Hawkswood by Derby winner Sir Percy should be at home at this trip and he looks to be on an upward curve. Its hard to know quite how good Sir John Hawkswood is as he appears to do just enough. Sir Michael Stoute in cracking form. 3:45 Royal Ascot: Soul 1pt win 25/1 Bet365 Soul has finished in front of several of those shorter in the market in the past and ran well in this last year. May not be quite as ground dependent as it appears as he is a comfortable winner on a sounder surface. Can go well fresh and that looks the approach here. May well be overpriced. 4:25 Royal Ascot: Mass Rally 1pt win 25/1 Bet365 Wide open, however Mass Rally has a fair few things going for him. He is in good form and won well at York and the form of that race has been franked with Nocturn going on to win next time. Mass Rally likes these big field handicaps and has course form. Michael Dods is in good form. 5:35 Royal Ascot: Cul Baire 1pt win 14/1 William Hill A unique race and there are not that many horses that stay this far on the flat. Its hard to know whether Cul Baire will, however its unlikely that Jim Bolger would bring His charge over for this if he didn't think he would. Worth chancing at the price. With conditions very similar and a couple of runs under his belt this term all looks set for a good run. Spintrix ran well last time at Ripon again under similar conditions to today. Only up three pounds for that, a reproduction of that effort will see her go close. Especially with Michael Dodds in decent form and he does well here. 3:15 Newcastle: Party Line 1pt win 33/1 Ladbrokes Party Line looked to be on the way back last time at York in the Ladies Race. The ease in the ground will suit and Mark Johnston has his string in cracking form. There is a concern whether she will stay and there is little to go on. A first time out effort over two miles is inconclusive. She might just be worth a flyer at the price off a light weight. 3:50 Newcastle: Mehdi 1pt win 25/1 Bet365 Mehdi looks interesting for David Nicholls. He has dropped to a competitive mark and Dandy is very good with horses that he takes on from other trainers. Conditions should be just about right and with relatively few miles on the clock he could well recapture some of his old form and spring a surprise. He will come in to this a fresher horse and this trip should suit. His sire Authorised was a fine winner at Epsom a few years back and hopefully that ability has been passed on to Sugar Boy. That was flying too high, however he got off the mark at Salisbury before putting in a decent effort at Royal Ascot. Lightly raced Kyllachy Rise may just be a little better than this mark of 83, especially dropping back to seven. 3:15 Sandown: Integral 1pt win 9/2 Paddy Power Integral lines up here after a maiden win at Goodwood. However, that was hugely impressive and her trainer Sir Michael Stoute has followed a similar route and brought similar types to this race in the past. With an excellent pedigree Integral could go very close here. 3:30 Haydock: Quixote 2pts win 1pt place 18/1 Coral & Star Lahib 1pt win 12/1 Bet365 Quixote has been running well and it might just be that a drop to this trip will suit. The form of his last run looks pretty solid and the ground looks perfect. Hayley Turner takes over today and Clive Brittain is in decent form. He looks overpriced here. Star Lahib is a progressive sort and this lightly raced sort could well improve again over this trip. Star Lahib looked good at Chester and only just missed out at Ayr. And even allowing for the fact Jamie Spencer getting off him, Ray Ward might just go a lot better than the market suggests especially if he is ridden a little differently this time. Testudo needs to step up a fair bit on his two starts to date however there is a fair chance he might. He has not helped himself in his outings so far, yet this trip looks ideal and he could outrun his price. 2:10 Newmarket: Canyari 1pt win 8/1 Betfred Lots of improvers in the field, however Canyari has as much scope as any and was very impressive winning at Doncaster and the form as been well franked. An entry in the Gimcrack gives an indication of how he regarded at home and a big run looks on the cards. 3:15 Newmarket: Tarikhi 1pt win 6/1 Bet365 Tarikhi ran really well at Royal Ascot and form there usually holds up. And the fourth in the Britannia. Wentworth, went close at the weekend in another hot all aged handicap. Lots of improvers here, yet Tarikhi is lightly raced too and could be involved especially with this step up in trip likely to be a help. Her last time out win at Ayr looks a decent effort and while this is a big step up in class she sould well be up to it. The extra distance may just see enough improvement to get her head in front. Ryan Moore has a good record when riding for Hughie Morrison and this all adds weight to Jubilante's case.
