Re: New Year's Resolution Thread A terrible year. Barely kept the thread going. Fewer and fewer write ups and less and less time spent on selections and studying generally which all lead to a downward spiral. I still think there is mileage in the exactas but like everything they need time and study too and better staking not just boxing. Its like anything, what you get back is reflected by what you put in. No point going on like this. Either need to get back to it or give up. Close House looked too be going quite well when falling in fact just looking to go past Wonderful Charm. Too far out to make a firm opinion as to what might of happened however in receipt of seven pounds from the market leaders and similar hurdles form to Taquin Du Seuil, Close House looks worth a go. 1:55 Cheltenham: Grand Vision 1pt win 5/1 Bet365 Grand Vision has been off a long while and is just about about worth siding with at the prices as he could be well in on his novice form and first time back is often the time to catch horses these days. Grand Vision has proven course form and that often counts for a great deal here. 2:20 Cheltenham: Ackertac 2pts win 12/1 Betfred Course form is often the key to these races and Ackertac has some fine efforts to his name and he looks overpriced here. His fine run at the Festival when just being touched off by Rajdhani Express and then subsequently beating Goulanes reads very well. A big run looks possible with Richard Johnson back in the plate.
