Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets keep an eye on zambia they will only get better. very young inexperienced team, possibly scored a little too early and spoilt their game plan, sitting back after that. i think they should beat guinea and SA. as for tunisia....i cant comment cos i hate them with a passion :@

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Ghana is one of the teams that qualified for Germany 2006, so I'm not so sure if it will be that easy for Nigeria. Isn't Ghana quite strong as well? I'm not an expert for African teams though... However, without knowing those teams that well either, I would think that Senegal should be able to beat Zimbabwe. EDIT: From the BBC:

1415 GMT: The teams are announced. Nigeria go into the match without the injured Jay-Jay Okocha, while Kanu is named as one of the substitutes. Ghana are without influential midfield Michael Essien, as well as Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan. Teams: Nigeria: Enyeama, Yobo (captain), Taiwo, Odiah, Enakarhire, Martins, Yussuf, Oruma, Aghahowa, Obodo, Odemwingie. Ghana: Adjei, Kuffour, Mensah, Pappoe, Kingston, Appiah (captain), Amoah, Pantsil, Yakubu, Issah, Haminu. Referee: Essam Abdel Fattah (Egypt).

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Oh my... I just hope they put the ball into the net in the second half... Senegal had so many good chances until now, but they couldn't use one of them. Well, one ball went in, but it was disallowed because the player had used his hand before...

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Ivory Coast - Libya Ivoirians have a big team to win this competition. After the win over Marocco they can have big luck to go in the last 8th if they win this game. Libye has lost 3-0 against Egypt ans they need a win, so ivoirians will have big spaces to score. In preliminaries: Cote d'Ivoire - Libye: 2-0 Libye - Cote d'Ivoire: 0-0 With Drogba, Kalou & Co the ivoirians are better than Libye. Ivory Coast @1.36 Sportingbet

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Welcome suker57.:welcome Even though Ivory Coast looked ordinary in their 1st game they should be too strong for a very average Libyan side. Looking forward to further posts from you in the future. Do you have any leagues that you 'specialise' in? Cheers:ok Dave

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Striker Didier Drogba is an injury doubt for Ivory Coast's next African Nations Cup game against Libya. His absence against Libya would be a real blow, particularly as Aruna Dindane, the other half of the Ivorian striking duo, has returned left the team, following the death of one of his twin daughters. BBC Sport Any comment or tips ?

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Cameroon - Togo Cameroon has a big team and Eto'o is in a greet fit (3 goals against Angola). Togo has lost his first game and they need points to qualify. Cameroon will have spaces. Togo has only 1 good player; Adebayor. Other players aren't international players like in Cameroon team. For me Cameroon will win. Cameroon @1.363 Sportingbet 19h If cameroon scores, togo will attack and we will have goals. Over 2.5 @1.85

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets How come Ivory Coast were 1.35 to beat Lybia, Cameroon is 1.36 to beat Togo and at the same time you can get 1.61 for Tunisia to beat dire RSA? I think in all three matches we have the same diference in class between the opponents so there's great value in the odds for Tunisia to win! I've already lumped on it and bar any last minute team news, this is going to be my largest bet so far in 2006.

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Tunisia are certainly not shy in coming forward and look a great price to see off what can only be described as a poor "Bafana Bafana." Topped their group in the WC qualifiers and this must be a boost coming into this tournament. Dos Santos seems in good shape with a hat-trick against Zambia. South Africa look poor and I'm stunned to see layers prepared to have a go here at 1.74, when some bookmakers are as low as 1.44 and rightly so. 10pts Win @ 1.74 Betfair

Re: African Nations Cup Winner and Tournament Bets Cameroon look too strong against a team that has qualified for the world cup, in Togo. It's a little sad that Togo go to the WC and Cameroon do not, as they are a better side, but Togo got the easier group. Cameroon in a neutral venue against Togo, simply has to be a win for Cameroon, as Togo only qualified on the back of their home form and their crazy supporters I am told. I cannot see anything but a win for Cameroon. Tempted to take the HT/FT, but happy enough to take the 1.41 on offer. 10pts win Cameroon @ 1.41 Betfair
