Racing Chat - Thursday 15th June

Recommended Posts

It's online now and I haven't told the bookmakers first!

Leopardstown 4.45

Jessica Harrington’s

Eternal silence

Win

Rated 101 and third in the moyglare gp 1 stakes.

Problematic beforehand in the 1000 guineas.

If back on song should have too much for these and if an O’Brien horse would be 1/10 on.

Newbury 1.50

Point Louise

Win.

Kings castle

Each way

This race is what it is, an amateurs race.

Quite a few ruled out in that basis.

Kings castle started out for Willie Haggas and was fourth to mishriff in a class four.

Unseated in a hurdle latest. Well down in previous marks and only three pounds higher than for last win but not far off opening mark.

Draw bias changes but stall 8 and 7 last two race winners last two years.

Newbury 2.20

Non runner on the other side of the track.

Mafnood

Win

In stall 2 is a well bred newcomer who may like a close relative be ready to win on debut. Jim Crowley's the jockey and he kicked things off the other day with al alsifah.

Depends on riding instructions of course and may need the run.

Yarmouth 4.10

Grand Central

Each way

A clamour to get on the odds on favourite could well backfire and under a penalty looks vunerable.

Nottingham 4.20

Memho

Each way

Two year draw figures averages out nicely at this runners stall and Applebys apples 🍎 falling nicely at the moment.

Elinor dashwood ran green and just missed out on a place.

Leopardstown

6.30

Rochester Mike

Each way

Has been crying out for a mile since finishing behind Paddington.

Two runs since including a third in maiden company and a handicap debut when losing a shoe have confirmed that and gets six pounds off for the last run.

7.20 Worcester Shantou Express 15/8

Made all last time out and won comfortably. Up 6Ibs but still well handicapped and could take all the beating again here in this slightly tougher race.

5 points win

Ran well but got constantly pestered whilst trying to make the running again which made life harder for him finished 3rd

2.00 Yar Rayena 05.0 ew at 18/1 2p 1/4

2.20 Nb Overlooked 0.50 ew at 22/1 4p

+ 2 L15's and Accas on the daily = 4 pts

= 6 pts staked so far

RESULTS UPDATE

At long last I am in a YTD profit.  One of my L15's and accas won with three winning selections and a non-runner.  This produced a profit of 189.53 points + a small return on an ew bet meant a profit for the day of 190.23.  After deducting my YTD loss of -133.92 I am now in YTD profit of 56.31 :clap
