Trotter Posted February 24, 2022 Share Posted February 24, 2022 We've got a grade 3 novice hurdle at Thurles this afternoon Usual pattern for one of these races .... tend to be a showdown between promising lightly raced types with not much form in the book against older horses who've often been running in handicaps and which might be a bit to high in the weights now so taking a chance in a conditions race I'll go with one of the lightly raced types ... Captain Conby 9/4 bet365 - ....... looked quite impressive winning a novice race last time, eased down on the run in and won in a canter. Value of the form isn't clear though .... none of the beaten horses have run since He comes from a smaller yard and is taking on runners from Mullins and Elliott but they look far from being stable stars and this could be one for the little guy!
