I personally only do one bet and that is the placepot. I have been lucky enough to have some very big wins with quite small stakes. I just have a few rules which I keep to and these are : 4 runners or less then include all selections , always click the racecard number and not the Fav box...the horse which you think may end up not being the fav and also if there is a non runner then more units will be on the fav ....and this is when really you dont want the fav to place anyway. There is no banker in a placepot so minimum of 2 selections per race. Perm your selections with small stakes and so minimum perm will be 2 selections per race making 64 bets. Maximum I will perm is 256 bets. This allows me to perm my bet if there is 2 x 4 horse races and 2 selections the other 4 legs. My selections today : Ascot gallymi../ midnight... severano / mill back jerrysback / musical slave malaya / kid comman.. cyname / ebony ... saint davina / jai f... 64 bets at 0.05 = 3.20 units HAYDOCK marown / the mulc.... emitom / main p... sojourn / the two amig... At least one selection has to be placed per race. If both are placed then u double up . Yesterday if you notice I got the Kempton placepot up. In the 4th and 6th races both selections were placed. So I managed to get the placepot up for 40p ....this returned $89.08 Its a good bet for little stakes...my best placepots which I have msnaged to find are 7k , ( 30p worth) and I had a 5k one but my best hit was a 900 placepot whicjh I had 3.20 winning units . Sorry for jumping in but just saw this and thought i would give my 5 cents worth which is may well be worth trying over cheltenham placepot usually pays very well there and at other big meetings but placepotman would know better than me. If you are regular at picking placed horses then the placepot is a great bet for you . I would say if you start with picking 2 selections per race then you do have a goid chance of scooping the placepot if you arevregular at your selections finishing in the frame. This bet would cost you 6.40 at 0.10 stake ( 64 bets ) If you are lucky enough for all your selections to place then you will get the full placepot for 6.40 ! So if the dividend paid 100 for instance then you would return 640 !!! The cheltenham placepot akways pays a good dividend and I tend to pick between 2 to 4 selectiins per race. 3 selections per race is 729 bets = 36.45 for 5p stakes. 2 selections per race is 64 bets = 3.20 for 5p stakes. If you have a mate / friend or family member who likes a little flutter then both of you pick a selection from each race .....then combine these selections and do a placepot ( 64 bets ) Or better 3 of you pick a selectiin each and combine them ...thats ( 729 bets ) ..''yet the stake is split between the 3 of you ....so if you did this then each person is only paying for 243 bets ( 12.15 at 5p stakes )....'.''but you git a good chance at 3 selections per race ! I post the odd one or two, I fear the bookies I do accas with would recognise my level of doing too much as they may come to these sites to route profitable customers. Im intrigued with your ratings good luck I've worked on my systems 6 years but I have to alter them and review every 6 months to update with new data lol. Hard work but it's worth while. Improved hit rate since doing rating system on top of my other systems recently but does mean increase of how many picks each race. I'm still working at jumps and flats so that will be the real test!
