It’s ridiculous how the bookies slash his prices. I think Bet365 take down his races within seconds, so punters cannot get on. I like to look at his picks but never follow him. Like you i do enjoy reading his column but wouldn't back his tips on the strength of that alone. His profit reported is inflated as no one could ever get on at the prices he publishes due to the reactions of the bookies. Thats not his fault but for me it undermines his record. It can be useful to explain market shifts though. I think its one think to look at a race seeing a steamer as someone, somewhere is backing it enough to shift the price but then another to see the money is on as its a Hugh Taylor tip. You could try and get on before his column came out especially if you had a larger price selection on the AW (his specialism). But if he picks another in the race your selection may well drift. So its a bit swings and roundabouts really. Now i just tend to make a judgement call on the price if my selection matches his. Sometimes the value has been eroded so I leave it alone. Still its never a great experience seeing a 33/1 shot you fancy going to 16/1! Best of luck with your selection today @LeMale LeMale

I suppose that's the trouble with the few good tipsters out there, very rarely can you get on at the price they advise. I gave up on them a long time ago. You cannot blame the bookies, they are there to make a profit (although I am biased because I have shares in Billy Hills (the company, not the esteemed leader of this site!). Villa Chris
I’ve noticed Andy Holdings prices have started to be slashed too. Don’t blame for bookies for doing it, but it’s frustrating if you follow him. Sometimes Hughs selections drift back out a bit once the market has settled again.
