Naps Competition - Thursday November 2nd

Recommended Posts

Race fitness can only be taken on trust but Mr Pipe did show a few options with his 6yr old gelding including a Class 1 entry on Friday 3rd.

His last win was back in January at Ayr on heavy going but he's not been running badly he's just been pitched a bit out his depth, with a clear round i rate him a confident bet.

6.55 Chelmsford

Battersea 9/4 Coral

Some decent racing on the AW tomorrow with a couple of good quality events at Lingfield in the afternoon and then again at Chelmsford later on. Of them all I like the look of Battersea in the 1m6f race at 6.55, the 6yo has not won since Meydan in Feb 2016 but has contested plenty of decent races with credit. This looks his easiest assignment for some time and appears to have Watersmeet to beat who was a bit flat when last seen and is worth taking on.

CHELMSFORD 6 25 Breaking Free @ 20/1 bet365 e/w thanks

Breaking Free...from John Quinn yard the 3yo is still looking for his first win after 10 races on turf the yard decided to try the AW in July they came here over 7f and found a 2nd place when beaten 1.25 lengths by Anna Medici and followed up the following month at Southwell AW 7f and again a 2nd place beaten 6 lengths by Monsieur Jimmy ,

The yard was probably feeling good thinking the AW may be the way with horse but step up to 1m back here but he lost his way finishing 8th of 10 runners beaten 6.5 lengths by Beepeecee , They've had 27 days to work on him and handicapper took 2lb off and going with the 1m distance their also sticking the cheekpieces on for first time with J F Egan in saddle
