QPR are playing like a bag of spanners at the minute, Fulham are marginally better. Hasselbaink is under pressure, one has to wonder who is pulling the strings at QPR, Les Ferdinand or Hasslebaink? Is there interference from Ferdinand? He seems to be quite vocal at times.

gogetta
League 2 Notts County vs Morecambe Notts County Manager, John Sheridan, appears to have succeeded in molding the team into his preferred playing style; a well-drilled back four, a compact team able to cede possession and soak up opposition pressure but efficient in counter-attack. They are on momentum, winning their last game 2-0 away to Exeter and moving into the top seven. They host a Morecambe side that had a strong start to the season, topping the table after five games but have since faltered and are 9th. Team is no longer as dominant and now largely depends on solid goalkeeper Barry Roche to stay in the game, hoping to profit from any opposition mistakes. Team also unsettled this week by rumours that Manager Jim Bentley is being courted for the vacant position at Tranmere Rovers. Home win Barnet vs Leyton Orient Hosts are wounded after a frustrating 2-2 home draw to Morecambe; in a game which they totally dominated, twice led, on-form striker John Akinde had enough chances to put the game to bed, but ended up losing two points after conceding a late equalizer! Now they have another home game against a Leyton Orient side that sacked their manager last week and lost 2-0 at home to Plymouth on Saturday; in which they had two first-half red cards (Captain and key midfielder Robbie Weir and debutant defender Jens Janse) plus two other players injured. A wounded home side against a rudderless and short-handed guest. Home win Cambridge United vs Accrington Stanley Hosts appear to be back on track after a horrible start to the season. After winning the last two games to get off the bottom spot, the team has regained belief; dominating the midfield as well as possession and notably a threat moving forward (more shots on goal). However, in this home game, the team still needs to convince its fans that it has turned the corner. The visitors are struggling after their run to the play-offs last season, following the loss of several key players in the summer. They are largely a physical, battling side and are coming off a tepid 1-1 home draw against Mansfield, in which they lacked offensive threat. Momentum and greater motivation are on the home side. Home win Results: Cambridge 2-1 Accrington Barnet 0-0 Leyton Orient Notts County - Morecambe (match abandoned) Edited October 3, 2016 by gogetta StevieDay1983 and oguzkhan
Kenton Schweppes
Not really enthused much by the fixture list today although I can see there is some nice prices dotted about on certain teams. Bury 9/5 at home to leaders Scunthorpe, Bury have won their last 5 in a row and seem reinvigorated by the signing of James Vaughan. If they can keep him fit, he's a brilliant player, speaking from experience as a Huddersfield fan, he was brilliant for us, all action type player, scored some great goals but just couldn't stay fit. I loved him. I doubt you will ever see the 2nd placed team in a division so generously as Bury are today. Scunthorpe are in equally as good form with a few draws thrown in the mix, this could go either way, but I reckon the money should be on the home team. Sheffield United are priced at 11/8 at Fleetwood. Again that's pretty generous on a form team and Fleetwood have no form to speak off, in fact their last win was against hapless Coventry 5 games ago. Think Sheffield United are worthy of further inspection here. Finally, an in form Rochdale are priced at 12/5 at Charlton. Rochdale have been racking up the wins and points of late and are steadily climbing the table. Charlton seem to be the leagues draw specialists, so maybe that is might be a better bet but Rochdale have beaten some better teams than Charlton of late namely Millwall and Bolton. Might be a risky one but 12/5 is a good price on them. Speculative punt this one today. Good luck one and all. clubgowi
England Championship: Brentford - Wigan Athletic Brentford are still not the finished article and will be a better team in six weeks than they are today, they still have two players getting up to speed with Championship pace who already look better than most at this level, two to come back from injury and as a group .they are only just realizing how good they can be. I wasn't going to back them today, but odds are too big and my hands are tied, they are unbeaten at home since March, have scored nine in their last two here at Griffin Park and some of the passing in the 4-1 defeat of Reading on Tuesday , was unbelievable. But it is not a 90 minute performance at present and Wigan will get chances, but visiting top scorer Will Grigg was deemed surplus to requirements at Brentford , the hosts will know all about him and (knock loudly on wood !) very few former players have returned and done well in recent campaigns. John Swift on Tuesday was an example , he got a LOT of undeserved abuse and GP is a ground where the crowd can almost touch you and every word from the stands can be heard . Bees get key midfielder Ryan Woods back from suspension today and he will freshen up a team where competition for starting places is fierce at present.Brentford -0.75 ball 2.29 asian line/Sportmarket from Clubgowi newsletter

Do you know what? I thought that too. I think "Sir Les" has been given more power than he should due to his icon status there. Hasselbaink did wonders at Burton so it seems obscene that he would manage QPR like this if he's got full control. This QPR side and the whole set-up is nothing like what he got doing at Burton. Something definitely isn't right and I'd avoid backing them to win anything at the moment. I am amazed we are only 2.80 to beat Burton. I'd say we will do well to get a draw. I don't think people appreciate how bad we are right now. Not seen a team worse. Not even Blackburn. Brentford, Bristol City, and Fulham are the three teams that are standing out as great value for me this weekend. Kenton Schweppes
