Re: Tankys Tips Just one winner Yesterday from the 4 but it was a nice-ish price of 11/2 backed in from 13/2.. 220 Ayr: JACK OF TRUMPS ran a very good race when just touched of by Flotta and that was a further sign that its ready to return to the winners enclosure. Merrymaker reopposses again Today but is just 3lb better in for over 5ls. This race will be tactical and the booking of Seb Sanders is perfect to make sure the jobs done with the minimum of fuss. The safest looking bet for a few days to Me. (Nap) 255 Ayr: YOUNG MR GRACE when this one won over this course last September of a mark of 80 trainer Tim Easterby was thinking it could be upto winning a Lincoln or a similar big race. Thinks havent exactly gone to plan since and this horse has seen its weight dropped back to a winning mark once more. Young Mr Grace loves to get its toe in and gets them conditions here and with Easterbys yard on fire (2 more winners Yesterday) a big run at a big price is expected. (RP go 20/1). E.Creighton who impressed Me with an ice cool ride on Linda Green last week rides and is great value for his 3lb claim and the jockey booking looks interesting as He has never ridden for Tim Easterby before. (EWay) 500 Newmarket: SPANKYS LADDER didnt act on the soft ground lto and deserves another chance to build on the promise it showed on its debut run when 3rd behind Aragorn. The 2nd there Dabbers Ridge, 4th Algharb & 11th Soul Provider have all come out of that race and won since. Trainer Jeremy Noseda after a quiet spell also has His team back firing and has recorded 7 winners from His last 17 starters. Spankys Ladder can add to that. (EWay) 510 Ayr: TARTARTARTUFATA is improving fast and could still be on a handy mark. It never came good until March & April this year when it recorded 2 wins & 2 2nd places from 4 starts. It was then given 2 months off and that looked a wise move when it came back better than ever by scoring a easy 3l win over Benny the Bus despite being greatly eased. This horse is naturally fast and will have a few off the bridle early on. It can repel the late raiders here including the improving Fizzlephut. That horse would be a bigger danger if the ground turned quicker but when it tackled cut underfoot before it ran its worst race to date. (Win) 815 Warwick: NUFOOS is a consistant horse who has just bumped into a couple of tartars just lately. Lto it bumped into Camacho who boosted this form no end with a 2nd of 21 in The Group 3 Jeresy Stakes this week. Of level weights here Nufoos who has 5lb+ in hand of the rest of the field really does look the business and there doesnt appear to be anything of the quality of Camacho hiding in this field. Regular jockey Richard Hills who missed the ride lto is back in the saddle and hopefully should give us a winning end to the day. (Nb) All the best Tankyman

Re: Tankys Tips Cheers All.. :cheers 3 out of 5 Yesterday but the nap let the side down. 5/1, 7/2 & 4/5.... 220 Hexham: MIAMI EXPLORER comes here in red hot form and has been found the perfect race to complete the hat-trick and stay unbeaten this year. If this were a handicap it would be giving upwards of 15lbs to Todays rivals so the fact that they all run of similar marks means its on a very nice mark. This horse loves the gf ground it gets Today, its 1/1 over this course and hasnt been extended in the slightest winning these 2 races. A field of 15 here but theres a lack of quality opposition. Tom Doyle its regular jockey rides and this one should win with the minimum of fuss. (Nap) 230 Warwick: ONE WAY TICKET could be worth following after bouncing back to form lto with a narrow success from Henry Hall. 3rd there Inter Vision & 5th Pulse (re-opposes on 1lb worse terms) have both won since to boost the form. All 3 off One Way Tickets wins have come on Gf ground and thats the conditions it gets Today. Another plus is that its won @ this course before. Well drawn & with Richard Quinn in the saddle it should go pretty close here. (Win) 330 Warwick: SONNY SANTINO has its 3rd start Today and has been found the perfect race to make it 3rd time lucky. Its bumped into a couple of decent rivals on its first two outings, firstly it finished a close 3rd behind OBriens Marcus Andronicus. The 4th & 5th there Leo & Right Again have won since to boost the form. On its 2nd start it unluckily bumped into a up & coming superstar in Red Clubs who took apart a class field in The Group 2 Coventry Stakes @ Royal York/Ascot. El Captain who reopposses Today on the same terms was 5ls behind Sonny there and looks well held. Baytown Valentina even further back in 7th has won a little race since to give a bit more solidity to the form. Sonny also still showed signs of greenness on its 2nd start so more improvement should be forth coming although a repeat of its last outing would suffice imo. Of the newcomers it would take a very smart horse to lower this horses colours on its debut. This really should be its day to shed its Maiden. (Nb) 340 Pontefract: WUNDERWOOD has a pretty impressive win to run ratio of 7/17 (41%) and with perfect fast ground for it here it can improve that even more here Today. It comes here after a cosy win in a fast time @ Hamilton and looks as good as ever. Seb Sanders rides and He does well for Lady Herries with a record of 10 wins from 34 mounts (29%) on Her 4 year olds and older. This decent 6 year old should hold to many aces for its rivals Today. Re: Tankys Tips Cheers Guys :clap 3 out of 4 Yesterday 4/7, 4/7 & 4/1. The last one Wunderwood ran a stinker finishing last.. 245 Nottingham: SMIRFYS NIGHT with the yards lean spell behind them they can continue to get amongst the winners here. Eddie McMahon has started well @ Nottingham a place His Dad did well at and although Smirfys is no superstar it will be a big player here. It ran a decent 4th of 16 on its 1st start for almost 8 months here over c&d behind Camille Pissarro. 2nd home there Enjoy The Buzz, 5th Ballybunnion & 15th Piccleyes all won on there next start to boost the form. Well drawn here and with the conditions perfect Smirfys Night who has won of a mark of 62 in the past is on an attractive mark of just 48 here looks a big player here Today. (EWay) 300 Musselburgh: DREAM FANTASY wasnt well fancied on its debut but still ran out an easy winner despite running green and idling in front and can follow up here Today. It looked that day as if it had scope for a lot better and in this field it easily looks the one with the most potential thus far. Sir Mark Prescott does well with his linited raiders to this course and over the last 5 years has had 7 winners from 13 runners (57%). His record with 2 year olds is even better with 2 from 3 (66%). The step up to 7f shouldnt be a problem as this horse holds an ambitious entry in the 2006 Epsom Derby. It also holds an entry in a much better race than this @ Salisbury on Friday. Todays best bet for Me. (Nap) 345 Nottingham: SEA FROLIC is 2/2 since moving yards from J.Crowley in Ireland to J.Candlish in The Midlands. Its recorded 2 cosy wins of 40 & 42 and runs here of 48 including its 6lb penalty for that last win. This isnt a great race on paper and most of them have nothing to hide from the handicapper Sea Frolic could be the exception and I reckon this 4 year old can complete the hat-trick Today R.Fitzpatrick who is 2/2 on this horse is again in the saddle. (Win) 840 Windsor: HAWK ARROW wasnt the 1st and wont be the last to show considerable improvement on there handicap debut. It won well here over c&d lto showing a fine turn of foot despite running green there and carrying its head in a awkward manner. The connections put that down to the fact that the track doesnt suit this horse but that was the 2nd time it had run there and Today they run it here again. Theres lots of other tracks about so I take that with a pinch of salt. It will have learned plenty there going through that small gap and despite being raised 5lb it looks worth following. Stevie Drowne who won on it there is again in the saddle. (Nb) All the best Tankyman

Re: Tankys Tips Sorry STP never saw your message till just. Sir Marks team havent been in great form admittedly going 16 runners without a winner so Yes I was a little worried by that stat. A lot though had run decent enough races to show that when He has a chance the horses are upto running well. 3 winners from about 20 runners this season isnt a great record but is just about the par for a half decent stable. Anyway luckily this horse won Today which is more than I can say for the other excuses for horses that I selected Today.

Re: Tankys Tips A winning nap Yesterday but the other 3 were disappointing... 245 Beverley: BARKING MAD is absolutely thrown in here in this Claimer with upwards of 24lb in hand of the rest of the field. This race is a lot worse than the one it found Tetragon too good for it but a repeat of that level of form would be good enough here. Neil Callan rides for Kevin Ryan who has a good record round here of 15/90 (16%). If this one cant win here then they may aswell retire it because there will be nowhere and nothing to do with it. Conditions are perfect. (Nap) 345 Beverley: OUT AFTER DARK was a good winner here over c&d on its penultimate start before being upped in class and distance and making a bold attempt to make all in a very good handicap over 6f @ Goodwood. It ran well but the distance was just too far and it faded into 4th. Today its dropped back in class and to 5f which will both suit and it can make all here. Bonne De Fleur who was 2nd behind it when it won here reopposses Today on 2lb better terms for just under a length but I dont think that will be enough for it to turn the form round. Out After Dark is well drawn Today, likes the course, perfect conditions & Phillip Robinson riding who has a great record for trainer Clive Cox. 10/50 in the last 5 years 20%, 3/8 this year 37.5% and the last 6 rides he's had for Cox have resulted in finishing positions of 2,1,2,1,1,3. So many pluses and so few minus's make this look a stand out bet Today. (Nb) 430 Brighton: LANDUCCI has done the business for me in the past and has every chance of adding to its great record round here Today. Its had 4 starts here with finishing positions of 1,1,3,1. Add to that the fact that Michael Hills comes here for just this one ride and He is fantastic round here (8 wins from 16 mounts in the last 5 years). Landucci has never won anywhere else (0/12 at other courses, 3/4 here at Brighton) and this really is a case of horses for courses. Raised just 4lb for that last win in this field of mostly out of sorts rivals it can add another win. (Win) All the best Tankyman

Re: Tankys Tips 3/3 Yesterday not great prices but winners all the same (4/9, 13/8 & 11/4) 230 Worcester: RAJAYOGA built on a decent debut 3rd behind a good yardstick in Mr Mischief by easily taking care of Argent Ou Or over this c&d. That win produced a provincial rating of just over 100 and that should be easily good enough to win this race with the rest of the field rated 80 at best. Leighton Aspell who rode it to victory last time is again in the saddle and with Trainer Mark Tompkins sending out plenty of winners this looks a solid selection to follow up with just a small penalty. (Nap) 310 Salisbury: ROSECLIFFE upped in trip lto to 12f and facing faster ground for the 1st time brought about plenty of improvement in this horse on its last start. It won that Thirsk race from Patronage who nto won by 5ls to boost the form. Rosecliffe has only been raised 2lb for that improved performance and with conditions again to its liking its possible that its still ahead of the handicapper here. (Win) 340 Salisbury: CLOANN was punted as if defeat was out the question but then fluffed its lines @ Windsor eventually finishing 6th. The jockey that day Steve Carson was promptly replaced by Seb Sanders and turned out quickly @ Brighton where it made all and won unchallenged. Sanders is in the saddle again Today, Its well drawn and with just a 6lb penalty it could easily defy that and come home 1st again. (Win) 630 Epsom: ZAHARATH AL BUSTAN ran a big race when only finding the experience of High Heel Sneakers to much for it on its debut running. It ran on well there throughout the 6th furlong and looks sure to improve both on that appearance and on breeding for the step up to 7f Today. Ted Durcan takes over in the saddle and can steer this one home. The form of that race looks better than anything the others have to offer and newcomer Picture Show would have to be something very special to win 1st time out against experienced rivals round this unique course. Re: Tankys Tips A winning nap yesterday but poor fare afterwards 210 Salisbury: MICHAELS PRIDE a mixture of bad placing, poor jockey bookings and bad luck in running means this horse is still well weighted despite 2 wins in the last month. Personally I blame the inexperience of Greg Fairley for ruining 2 guilt edged chances and thats been born out by the fact its done better with a more experienced jockey in the saddle. Joe Fanning did well to win over a trip well short of its optimum and Kevin Darley showed how easy a level headed jockey can do on this horse when bringing it through for a easy victory over Todays trip. A very eyecatching booking Today with Frankie Dettori having a rare mount for Mark Johnson. Frankie does well for him though and has won on 3 of his 6 mounts in the last 5 years (50%). Lots of pluses and not many crosses, makes this a stand out bet to me. (Nb) 320 Newcastle: EMERALD BAY was impressive 3 days ago beating Bolton Hall by an easy 2ls. It proved there that it handled the faster ground and with just a 6lb penalty for that win this progressive horse ought to be up to following up. (Win) 340 Salisbury: ONE WAY TICKET was an all the way winner lto @ Warwick on Sunday and turned out here under a 6lb penalty in this race it must hold every chance of following up despite the penalty meaning it will have to set a career best to win Today. It just loves the fast ground and they will bounce of this. Drawn 10 its perfectly positioned to trap out and make all. (EWay) 430 Thirsk: MAGHAZI showed improved form when tried on grass for the 1st time when only going down by a sh to Ocean Gift in a pretty fast time. Richard Hills again rides and in this field it can certainly go one better here. (Nap) 500 Thirsk: MALCHEEK improved for a very gentle introduction by skipping clear and holding on for a easy 1l victory over Algharb (Won nto) with the rest spread out like a line of washing. The 6th home there Major Magpie only went down by a sh in a handicap on its next start & the 8th Reel Cool Cat won easily nto also. Malcheek won from stall 1 there and has done well today with the draw getting stall 2 for its handicap debut. The mark of 75 seems fair enough and David Allen again rides for the inform Tim Easterby. Re: Tankys Tips 3 winners Yesterday The Nap @ 4/7, Nb @ 9/4 & a 2/1 shot. The other 2 were disappointing to say the least. 340 Market Rasen: SPACE STAR it was an above average race in which Space Star made a winning start to its chasing career. It just effeciently and always travelled well just off the pace before seeing of Flying Spirit with a great deal more ease than the winning margin of 1.5ls might have suggested. Flying Spirit has won since, 3rd & 4th there havent reappeared yet but the 5th home Celebration Town won nto so the form looks very solid. Tom Doyle who rode the horse to victory there again takes the ride. He is riding well atm from his limited rides (2/5 in the last fortnight). With lots of iffs and buts about Space Stars rivals Today it looks hard to find a serious rival so Space Star looks the stand out bet of the day to Me. (Nap) 400 Folkestone: SPANISH MUSIC was only beaten 1l behind Pivotals Point in a Maiden Stakes of level weights and that horse has endorsed the form by winning a couple of handicaps since of marks of 71 & 77. 4th home in that race was Special Gold itself a winner nto. That was a marked improvement from its first run over 7f with the combined effect of dropping back to 5f and fast ground also other reasons for improvement along with coming on for the 1st run. Today everything is in its favour. A small field, should be able to sit handily and as long as Stevie Drowne does his job properly the race is there for the winning. (Nb) 735 Newmarket: NAMAT has recorded form figures so far in its career of 2,1,1 and can add another few races to that tally before it goes on to a more profitable venture of being bred from as it has excellent breed lines being a daughter of Daylami. Its 2 wins have both been over 10f a trip that its needed every inch of so the step up to 12f Today looks ideal. Its last win was also its 1st run for its new stable of William Jarvis since coming from Marcus Tregonings yard. Of a mark of just 79 Tonight including its 6lb penalty I think it could still be ahead of the handicapper. Seb Sanders who won on it lto again rides. (Win) 920 Newcastle: YORKSHIRE LAD was very unlucky in running lto when making a slow start and then getting stuck behind a wall of horses and seeing no daylight until much to late to affect the result. It did run on pleasingly though. It was behind Peopleton Brook there and on a line through Folga who Peopleton beat there by a neck when it carried 10lbs less than that horse compared to Yorkshire Lad beating the same horse by 0.5ls getting only 1lb. Yorkshire Lad is also another 7lb better of than it was in that race less than a fortnight ago. Trainer M.Attwater does well with his limited resources but makes an eyecatching jockey booking for this race by putting up Tony Culhane for the 1st time ever. Culhane is as good a job jockey as any and at the proposed price of 10/1 it looks a solid bet to at least make the frame and hopefully do even better. (EWay) All the best Tankyman
