3:30 Aintree: Rajdhani Express @ 7/1 betvictor win thanks

Rajdhani Express......from Nicky Henderson yard the 8yo is owned by Robert Waley-Cohen with son Sam Waley-Cohen in saddle although not ran for 198 days his last race was here in the Topham by 10 lengths , He's been a winner of two hurdle races and four chases from 2m 1f to 2m 5f on ground varying from good to heavy , there should be no problems with condition the only question his he fit and ready and can he carry a 8lbs more for that Topham win

155 Aintree: Sykes 7/4 SJ

Going the right way and after winning is maiden hurdle ran a fine second last time out. Goes up in trip to 3 miles here and he will appreciate the test of stamina. Races off 118 which is fair enough but the form in all of his races is very solid, even his bumper 4th reads well.

The opposition here looks pretty average on the whole although the Jonjo O'Neill horse looks a likely improver, whether or not he will show his best first time up is another question. You cant fault the Hobbs team and they do very well at Aintree as a rule so a worthy nap on a tricky old card.

1.55 Aintree - Tantamount - win at 11/1 bog bet365

This one could go well at decent odds

Has course winning form over shorter and doesn't look badly handicapped being 7lbs above last win which was by 9L.......should be competitive off this mark

This horse has a similar profile to my 10/1 winner from a few days ago.......Lucinda Russell trained, second run back from break having had an opener at Hexham. Although he finished last that day he was only beaten 5L and Lucinda's runners do seem to come on for a run

Has plenty of hurdle experience though only 6 years old and has probably the best of the conditional jockeys aboard (D Fox)

His main rivals today are inexperienced horses with inexperienced jockeys.

2.50 Leopardstown - Moonlight Magic @ 5/1 BetVictor

Bolger looks like he's in for a great day at Leopardstown and it would be no surprise to see him pick up a treble with the horses he has out today. This unexposed Godolphin colt is the pick of 3 for Kevin Manning which is significant considering the other two have RPRs of 116. Although he only won by a neck on debut in reality it was a lot more comfortable idling in front under a hands and heels ride. Interestingly Bolger employed a pacemaker for Moonlight Magic when he won on debut which is something we don't see too often and given that he's actually very closely related to Sea the Stars it would be no surprise to see one of his other runners make the running for him today. The better ground here will suit as will the step up to 9f considering he's a real prospect for middle distance trips next season.

2.45 Wincanton: Handicap Chase (Class 3)

Competitive stayers contest where most of the eight starts are in with a fair chance. The "sexy" horse the Nicholls favourite Cowards Close but given the competitive nature of this race, he's a skinny price. If According To Trev could find back to his best form, he'd be a prime selection for this race, but his last three starts are clear reason for concern.

I do like Handy Andy as the bottom weight to go well, his poor win record puts me off though. Forgotten Gold and Standing Ovation have a decent shout in this, but Best Boy Barney looks underestimated in this field.

He has been mostly competitive in his last handful or so starts, rarely goes really wrong. He won at Kempton back in April a good chase and followed up with another nice performance at the same venue when runner-up behind Champion Court - a very strong piece of form.

He didn't quite run to the same sort of form the next two, but this here looks a bit easier, and with conditions sure to suit as well as fitness assured, he could run a big race.

Best Boy Barney @ 12/1 Bet365

4.05 Galway - Lost Book 28/1 sky/victor/stan james

High win SP average for trainer Mahon makes me want to check any of his horses when they are big underdogs. Lost Book won only once more than a year ago over the longer trip of 17 furlongs. In the last 5 races finished 5th from 15 and 3rd from 15 over 16 furlongs on good and 5th from 19 over 20 furlongs.
