17.45 Kempton: First Rebellion @ 5/2 Paddy Power Very infrequent winner and seems to run to more or less similar forms. However his latest run at Wolverhampton over 6f suggests that with a drop in trip and a slightly more sensible ride, he's up to win a race. He jumped out of box eight right to the front, sharing the lead for most parts while setting a very decent pace. He started a huge move from over 3f out and put a good deal of daylight between himself and the main body of the field, approaching the home turn with a four lengths lead. Still in front entering the final furlong, he eventually hit a brick wall with half a furlong to go, and a stayer caught up. He was still able to finish 3rd. That was a huge performance in my mind and I believe he's finding ideal conditions in this race at Kempton tomorrow. He drops another 2lb since his most recent impressive run, has a good draw for his front-running tactics and I can't see too much competition for the lead. Should be straightforward and Kempton's 5f track favours horses up with the speed. It's also a pretty poor class 7 Handicap, with not many having any form at all. Some could be potentially well handicapped on old form, most notably Avonvalley - yet First Rebellion has the best chance of his career to win another race and I duly expect him to score.

Re: NAP OF THE DAY - Wednesday 1st October 2014 Nottingham 4:50 - Diamond Lady WIN @ 14/1 Bet365 100% record here at the track, won here off a mark of 77, only 3 pounds higher now. Finished 2nd behind Highland Acclaim in a good Newmarket handicap in August, and that horse went on to win the the Shergar Cup meeting at Ascot after. Was a good 2nd at Lingfield last time out and comes here in good form at present.

Ellsworth won this renewal last year and can add another to tally with this , beating elysian.

Re: NAP OF THE DAY - Wednesday 1st October 2014 Nottm 3.45 - No Win No Fee (1pts win, 15/2 BetVictor) Has been in great form over his last 6 or so runs winning twice and placing three times as well and he has won twice on his last two visits to this track over today's trip. He is also only 1lbs higher then for his last win so that won't be a problem and should be int he shake up.

Re: Nap of The Day - Wednesday 1st September Nottingham 14:10 - Just Us Two 1pt WIN @ 6/4 BetVictor Lost any chance at the start of his debut run before staying on to finish 5th 5l behind Manofmanytalents. Made a much better start in his last race only to be caught by a fast finishing John Gosden horse, Waady, but finished half a length ahead of Manofmanytalents with the experienced Lady Gemini back in fourth. This race looks to be a little easier and Just Us Two is taken to confirm the form of his last race with Manofmanytalents.

Re: NAP OF THE DAY - Wednesday 1st October 2014 2.50 SALISBURY (Class 4 - 7f Novice Stakes) BEST OF TIMES @8/11 (bet365 #BOG) 2yo colt from Dubawi, Best of Times destroyed a field of 10 lto, showing plenty of talent on good ground, recording an RPR of 88 which looks very tough to beat if we consider the obvious improvement. This is a three runners race but Brutus is easily discardable and it's hard opposing to a Godolphin's runner considering how good the royal blue ones are at the moment. Love the way he looks both in the paddock and in-running, I take the odds-on.

Re: NAP OF THE DAY - Wednesday 1st October 2014 5.45 Kempton The first class 7 handicap of the season! The key to these are simply find the ones well handicapped and in form sorts and it is easy to cross several of these out. Befortyfour used to be a reasonable sort but has long been on the back foot and remains one to tread carefully with. Last win came in 2008 and off a mark of 95 but can only be watched. Greek Island is dropping dramatically in trip and is well handicapped, but the trip is a worry. Like all of these First Rebellion is not regular winner with just 2 wins from 55 starts, he is atleast showing that he is in form at present with 2 placed efforts, handicapper given him a chance dropping him 2lb for those efforts but is still yet to win off a mark this high so comes with obvious risks attached. Don’t Tell Nan improved dramatically last time out on the fibresand at Southwell in August, now needs to back that up away from that surface aswell so probably best watched at the prices. Volcanic Dust might be worth taking a risk on, she is a 5f specialist and is well handicap now 2lb below last winning mark. She is a front/prominent runner and there isn’t a huge amount of front runners in this race, well drawn to be front rank here and Norton takes over from apprentices and should strip fitter for recent run. 1pt win Volcanic Dust 12/1 hills

Re: NAP OF THE DAY - Wednesday 1st October 2014 2.20 salisbury Chemical charge @9/1 laddies stable have a good record at the track with 2yo debutants. Good some good entries inc the Derby and 6 debutants have won the last 10 running of this race. The fav is way to short for me but does set a decent standard.
