Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd valenica seem to have overturned their crisis and are playing well again. i think they may be worth siding with here as well as paok who are very defensive team that have potential to upset. i don't know why psv has been made favorite against odessa. they are very strong and at home the advantage is on them. dinamo zagreb is also more than a match for razgrad and could potentially win this one

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Anzhi with no win since begining of this season. They played 11 games at league with score 0 6 5 and 14th place in Russia League. This year they sold all best players only Traore is left but he is injured and he will not play. In first match they draw against Sherif at home. On the other hand Spurs got some amazing players this year. Even if AVB mixed his team I still think that they will beat Anzhi without any problems. If he rest Soldado,Erikssen or Dembele replacement should be players like Defoe,Lamela etc. And also I believe that Anzhi will concetrate more to stay in Russian League. Spurs to win @ 1.50 Spurs to win to nill @ 2.30

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Again a little bit about my club, n.k. dinamo zg, whose game obviously bookmakers see with different eyes than I do. The same things were happening last season during the Champions League, when only bookmakers believed in dinamo and were generous with the odds, and the same team managed to win one point from six matches with a goal difference of 1:14. This season the team is even worse, mainly because of poor leadership, but I'm not going to repeat the same things I said in the preview of match with Chernomorets, which have proved to be truth in that game and in the domestic league matches. Last week dinamo won as a guests against last team on table, NK Osijek 0:1, and yesterday drew against the poor Zadar. At these matches I saw again the impotence of the dunes, and a game that was anything but team game. dinamo has money in the budget for at least 20 times more than those two opponents together and regardless of the differences in the quality of players and the support of the judges, had a big problems in these matches. What is the best hand, management, behaves as if no one on the side does not understand anything, and after these matches praises team, claiming that it is most important that they are still first in the table and they do not see any big problems. I am confident that their egosim, as many times previously, will come back as a punch in the head. I do not know much about the team Ludogorets, little look to the table, and it is evident that they are doing good. Also I believe that their victory against PSV away gives em right and an additional motive to attack for new 3 points. And last but not the least, the last year dinamo entered Champions League, with a goal in '93. minute, against the Ludogorets , so I'm convinced that there is some special motive for hosts, and that the time is right for the payback. Ludogorets home win 2,05 with Bet365 7/10 Ludogorets AH -1 3,10 with Bet365 4/10

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Dnepr vs fiorentina. I think the home win has some decent value here. Fiorentina played inter on thursday and lost. Tonight they will play parma at home and thursday they have to play in ukraine while on sunday they travel to Rome for the game against lazio. I think some players will be exhausted soon and with the injuries they have I think he has to rotate his squad. Can any italian friend tell us how important this league is for fiorentina? Dnipro on the other hand are in the forms of their lifes. They also faced cherno this saturday but they rotated some players and still won 2-0. They dont have to travel because of their 3 home games. This weekend they play a very important game at home against shaktar donetsk so I dont know how they will react for this game. All I know is that 3 home games in 10 days are far better then 4 games in 10 days while 3 away. Hope someone can inform is about the ukrains, would be helpfull to pull the trigger?! Thx

Ludogorets have no big injury concerns. That's right they have double motivation two win tomorrow because of the last year defeat from Dinamo. It's obvious that the team of Dinamo is not doing well.On the other hand Ludogorets is fine. They beat PSV away.Last weekend they drew with Botev Plovdiv. We must say that both teams Botev and Ludogorez didn't risk too much and did a calm 0:0 with not much of pressure. So what i am trying to say is that they won't be exhausted. They have good team and they won't lose tomorrow.Ludogorez's next game in the local championship is against Pirin Goce Delchev who i consider to be the worst team in the division.I suppose they will win for sure at Sunday and will be fully concentrated tomorrow. They know that if they win they increase their chance of qualifying signifacantly.I am all over HW here.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd

I thought given Az Alkmaar's brilliant league form that $2.05 at home against Paok was a steal but unbelieveably they have sacked their manager yesterday after a 2-1 win over Psv on the weekend so ill probably think on it a little more.
Hmm..i remain sceptical about how so called "Big teams" take Europe League. For example PSV were awful against Ludogorez side but just 2 days after they bounced back and destroyed Ajax.I know for sure that if AZ is a worse side than PSV is and if they don't take Europe League seriously they don't worth the risk.It will be interesting to see how CHernomorec will play at home against PSV and how PSV will react after the shocking lose at home...

As a Bulgarian, who nonetheless is familiar with Dinamo, I advise caution here and attention not to over-estimate Ludo and underestimate Dinamo. First of all, I compare Ludogorets in class to Austria Wien, against which Dinamo won and dominated on their visit (although they lost dramatically the tie). Take a note - Dinamo have made very convincing games away from home in Europe this season, while they s*ck at Maximir. All their visits were victories, they played well and fully dominated their opponents. Second note and reminder - the match is not played at Ludo's home turf. It will take place in Sofia at the national stadium. I admit Ludo had more fans than I expected against Basel (around 10,000), when they again played in Sofia. But these were mainly clown fans, people who didn't show any real support and were there mainly for the free tickets (there are rumors Ludo actually paid some fans from Sofia to support them). Anyway, playing in Sofia in front of the quiet crowd and in the big pitch is completely different than playing at the small pitch in Razgrad in front of noisy crowd. Third, while Ludo played very defensive and counter-attacking against PSV, now they will be all about attacking football. That's how they played against Basel in Sofia, that's how they naturally play, so no reason to change this attitude against Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian visitors are also generally more attacking side with weak defense, despite a few recent low-scoring games in their league. Draw is not a good result for them, hence they will try desperately to win this encounter. All in all, goals are much better option in this match. I am not at all sure in Ludo's win, as they don't feel comfortable playing in Sofia, and Dinamo are very good visitors. But there must goals in this one and I have no idea why bookies think the opposite and give such generous price for overs. Over 2.5 @ 2.11 (Pinnacle)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Does anyone have any team news on Standard Liege going into their match in Sweden against Elfsborg? They rested their best players in their opening home defeat in the group to Esbjerg so really need to get a result tomorrow night if they have any ambitions of progressing. I am tempted to back them at around 13/10 but only if they play a full first team?

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd I also forgot another important detail about Ludo-Dinamo. All home games of Ludo in Europe this season have gone over 2.5 goals. And 2 of them were first legs of two-legged tie (hence, more cautious approach in general). Also, both Partizan and Slovan (their first two opponents) have much poorer attack than Dinamo Zagreb, which makes the over 2.5 here even more likely. I have no idea what are the bookies and the market arguments for believing this will be under-ish match. I smell good value on the overs.

Good reasoning, let it be successful pick! I will just add some facts that gives me right to stay on my first pick. Protagonists of last year succes over Lud. were Kelava( Udinese), Vida ( dynamo kiev), Tonel ( Beira Mar), Caello ( Chievo), Badelj ( HSV), Vrsaljko ( Genoa), Kovačić ( Inter), Tomečak, Alispahić ( Rijeka) and they managed to draw as a guest ( '93 Rukavina ) and then to win at home ( '98 Vida), and when I compare these players with the ones that are today on their positions, I do not think that I m underestimating dinamo. dinamo is used to play against very defensive teams cause almost every croatian team plays like that versus them, so it will be interesting how they will react when someone attacks them. Chernomerets did that in a beginnig of second half and managed to score two goals in that period. Todays news says exactly what I found bad for my club in last post, team managment and players are pretty convinced in their good performance, they know Ludogorets very well, and they are going for a win, nothing less would satisfied them...:unsure

Hahaha, I know that whenever Dinamo's bosses show arrogance and are "confident in the victory", they fail epically. :-) Like against Austria, which they treated like an amateur team. Well, I am telling you if they underestimate Ludogorets even one bit, they will get huge beating. Anyway, I think that it is very likely that both yours and mine pick are successful. 3:1 home win looks very likely.

I know the Elfsborg manager just got sacked, might be good or bad from a betting perspective I guess.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Legia at home vs Apollon Limassol. Legia has been in very good form for last 5 games (4 0 1) while Apollon Limassol (3 0 2) but Cyprus team has lost 6 last away matches with score 1 : 24. I would recommend Legia win with 1,5 @ bet365 8/10 or Over 2.5 with 2.05 @ bet 365

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd 4pts Tottenham (-1AH) to beat Anzhi 1.83 Ladbrokes In days gone by this could be a tough assignment for Spurs but as long as they are professional about their stance on the match then this should be a comfortable night for them. Even if they rest one or two they should still have far too much for the Russian side who are depleted from years gone by. A win for Spurs gives them a strong position in the group and I think they’ll get that with a bit in hand. It is hard not to have been impressed with the way they schooled Valencia in the last set of matches and while the doubters can say Valencia aren’t the side they were, the Mestalla is still an intimidating place to go with its size. Back on home soil I think Swansea can continue to flourish and I would expect a very comfortable night for Michael Laudrup’s men here. Maribor are unlikely to arrive in the North-west with much confidence after a drubbing last time out in this competition so I do like the look of the FA Cup winners here. I think they have enough to cover a handicap in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wigan-vs-maribor-betting-wigan-can-claim-a-first-european-win-against-the-slovenians

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd APOEL situation is not the best right now. They are not anymore the team they used to be. They look very poor at this moment. Their coach Paulo Segio will get fired sooner or later. Results are not there and from what I read fans demand from the board to sack him. In the first game against Maccabi they parked a bus in front of their goal. They played totally defensive football and escaped with a draw. Neither Maccabi was something special in that game. I will not be surprised if they parked a bus again today. They will miss their best player Manduca but he is out from the start of the year. Eintracht takes this competition seriously. They will not rotate or rest any players. Maybe they will rest just Kadlec but it's not confirm yet. Eintracht have shown great football lately. They are much better team than Maccabi and I don't think that APOEL will menage to escape loss here like they did with Maccabi. Odds already start to going down for Eintracht and I have odds 2.00-2.10 at my local bookers. I see a great value in these odds

4pts Tottenham (-1AH) to beat Anzhi 1.83 Ladbrokes In days gone by this could be a tough assignment for Spurs but as long as they are professional about their stance on the match then this should be a comfortable night for them. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Trabzonspor v Lazio Lazio at home to Fiorentina at weekend and won't fancy the trip to Turkey. Apparently Lazio are showing bad performances because Hernanes isn't happy there. Trab have won last 4 at HOME in all comps, Lazio lost 3 and drew 1 of last 4 away (all comps). Losses were to Juve (twice) and Roma but the draw was to lowly Sassuolo who Inter beat 7-0. Only thing that is bugging me is that Trab are away to Ferna in a top of the league clash at the weekend. Any Turks with advice? Thanks

Took these two with the difference of Spurs (-1) Handicap result. As others said before, Anzhi haven't won this season and Tottenham are in good form. Specially when it comes to playing smaller teams.

Maybe just one thing regarding this match. Maribor changed coach this weekend. They were in miserable form but as it turned out in last days they were actually boycotting our previous coach. And to be worse, even our sport director has giving them quiet support. Now the new coach is inexperienced guy, but he was in previous years assist coach in Maribor and in last two years quite successfull head coach with different SLO clubs. He is also club legend (scored goal again Lyon that brought Maribor into his only participation in Champions League and then scored a goal in grouph phase in Kiev against Dinamo, that was winning goal), know all players personally and is also well respected amongst them. I'm not saying that this forecast is not true, but Maribor today will for sure play with more energy and fight as it was expected three days ago. Three days ago I would without a doubt take -2AH in this would be at that point almost sure bet. Today everything could go into different direction.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd 19:00 Tromsø - FC Sheriff Tiraspol Group K Tromso is in last place with 0 points! First round in El they lost away againts Spurs 3-0,and they are in bad situation also in Tippeligaen, in 14th place with 25 points, one step to relegation. They sent off the head coach Agnar Christensen, and in his place will be his assistant Steinar Nilsen. Sunday they have a difficult game away againts Molde and ,i think this game in Tippeligaen is more important.... Sheriff Tiraspol is in 3d place with 1 point, after 0-0 last round againts Anzhi in Russia. They are in 1st place in Moldova with 25 points after 5 victories in row. Today in Alfheim Stadion i see away side favorites and my call is : Away win 2.60 @ Bet365 6/10. Good Luck!

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd CHERNOMORETS ODESSA - PSV I expect both teams here to be primarily focused on tight defense and this is why. For Odessa it’s their style of play, especially when they host big names like PSV today. Besides that they’ve got all three points in Zagreb and a draw here against one of the group favorites would suit them more than well. Odessa’s defense line is also impressive, in last five games on home turf they’ve allowed only one goal and this season no one was able to outclass them. On the other hand PSV will be focused not to lose today and coach Cocu prepared a tight, defensive lineup 4-2-3-1 with only one striker up front. The main reason for are absences of captain and first goalscorer Wijnaldum and important striker Park who are both missing this match as well as some defensive players so they decided to bring more stability to defense. I don’t expect too much goals today and the goal margin should stay under 2,5 goals. Bet: Under 2,5 goals Odds: 1.85 BOL ;)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Sevilla has lost at least a single goal in 8 of their last 10 home matches. Freiburg coming out from blow-out in Dortmund, where they played the second half with only 10 players. They will come there angry, that's for sure. They are scoring very often in away matches and I highly like the odd (1.90 atm) for both teams to score a goal. It's definitely worth the risk. What you think guys?

PSV tight in defence! Blimey, not heard that one before..:lol Going for Maribor +1.0AH at 1.85 with bet365, don't really know much about Maribor, they have been the strongest team in Slovenia for a number of years and despite how this has been priced up I see a two goal victory for Wigan as unlikely. Maribor sacked their coach after the weekends loss but are still top of the league. Wigan are an average side who had an exceptional manager in Martinez, Coyle isn't some sort of lower league Guardiola I doubt if their 'against the odds' story will continue for much longer, after Whelan goes they will be back down with Gillingham as they can't sustain the level they have with such low crowds..key players out tonight also - Defenders Gary Caldwell and Ivan Ramis, goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi, midfielder Shaun Maloney and strikers Grant Holt and Marc-Antoine Fortune are injured, full-back Stephen Crainey has a neck problem. Wigan have been in poor form in the Championship I really don't see them beating the handicap against a motivated side with a new manager - probably a draw for me. Maribor +1.0AH - 1.85 - bet365 - 5 Points
