BBOTD Friday 22nd February Sandown 2.20 - Nozic 11/4 Bet365 BOG Im a little bit disappointed to have missed out on the price for this comp as I took 4/1 with the same firm earlier in the evening! This horse must have a great shout again tomorrow after hacking up LTO. The old boy ran well behind two of the most progressive horses in the game at Ascot and Sandown where the subsequent form has worked out well. He then boosted that form by winning with ease against other potentially well treated horses at Kempton back on ground that will be similar to tomorrows. Technically back up in grade but I dont think this is the strongest race and the main danger is probably the Hobbs horse who is returning from a lengthy absence (trainer has been in good form with these types this week!). Lord Singer ran well behind Eastlake but he hasnt accomplished as much as Nozic and doesnt look to have as much scope off this mark.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 1525 sandown 1pt win fago short odds in a 3 runner race not ideal, but i just hope this horse wins, fell last time out when the race was there for winning, the other horses both won last time out,so it aint straight forward, but i hope fago wins and goes on to run in the arkle next month

Re: BBOTD Friday 22nd February Sand 4.30 - Circus Of Dreams 1pts win (11/2 Paddy Power) Returned from a year off to run a encouraging second at Kempton behind Prince of Pirates so should be all the better for that re-appearance. If he can build on that effort is capable of getting involved here.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february

3.50 Warwick: Budbrooke Chase Handicap (Class 2) (2m4f110y) A tricky puzzle is this especially with the unknown quantity Ballynagour running with no weight, he may well be thrown in but I’m not interested at the prices. Frisco Depot is another one with a big question mark next to his name and prefer to look for some better value elsewhere. I like Golden Chieftain at the weights, he runs best this way round and at this trip and if he can put in a clear round he must go close. One at a big price worth a bet is Escort’men, he ran well here last time and is under estimated in opinion.

Selections:

EW Escort’men 20/1

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 15.50 Warwick - Problema Tic Has really taken to chasing over the last year, winning 3 times since the back end of 2011, including a very competitive Class 2 at Ayr back in April. May very well have added to that success at Aintree last time out, going very well before falling. Off the same mark tomorrow, in what is a much less competitive handicap than both the Ayr and Aintree ones. Further, he was very well supported in the market before withdrawing from a recent Ascot handicap, and that market support is another good sign. The testing ground will suit him down to ground, and 9/2 looks an absolute gift at the moment. Wouldn't be surprising to see him go off at much shorter odds tomorrow. 1pt win @ 9/2 Bet365 BOG

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 8.30 Wolverhampton - Ivestar 12/1 PP On 4yo+ horses over 5-6f Graham Gibbons shows a level stakes profit over the last five years on the AW of £35 with a 23% strike rate. Also when riding the same age group for Michael Easterby, Gibbons shows a profit of £55.13 and again a strike rate of 23%. Also, Michael Easterbys record for handicap races with the same age group over the last five years on the AW shows a profit of £49.68. Given the aforementioned it may be worth taking a chance on this horse .

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 14:40 Warwick Paddleyourowncanoe - Definitely risk with this selection but for me this is never a 40/1 shot. He is 12 years old so a up and coming youngster may come up. But the apprentice for this conditional hands and heels handicap will be riding the paddle for the 3rd time. In Jan when they went under rules together for the 1st time the Paddle finished 3rd off a rating of 94 in a 0-115 race. Is running off 92 today in a 0-110 race so if wants a go he could belittle his 40/1 odds. 0.5EW Bet365

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 3:50 warwick - little josh whilst being top weight, little josh takes a drop in class and goes back to his optimum distance. the prices right now are huge and looks a great e/w bet for me. has a great strike rate in class 2-3 races and and the ground is perfect for him. 0.5 pt e/w

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february W3.40 Chance Du Roy e/w 28/1 Betvictor The key here is whether at the age of 9 is on a downward trend. I just think the horse has ideal conditions here and I'm happy to follow it perhaps for the last time. It's got a touch more class than most of these and was 2nd in the Topham at Aintree just last year so I'm hopeful it's no back number just yet. It has a great strike rate and can go well at a nice e/w price.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february Binchy has gone for Ivestar and i wish him the best of luck in the world as i was going to post the very same horse and his post info is pretty much BANG on the money, i also liked another horse in the same race so i'll have a wee go at taking on my first point of thought and tip. I'll have a wee go at the joint bottom weight, won here at Wolves last time out on Feb 4th and even though the 5yr old bay mare got into a wee spot of bother she still got her head in-front, she showed a nice attitude and she could make a nice second choice from Ivestar. Sole runner for Trainer & jockey and worth a punt at showing price, if the pick gets beat i only hope its by ''Ivestar'' - Double Dutch Bet. 8:30 Wolverhampton - Bailadeira 0.5 E/W Bet @ 14/1 BetVic.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february *Al's Memory > Lingfield 3:40 > WIN @ 9/2 Betfred BOG* Three time course and distance winner in a small field like this has to be very dangerous. Comes from a yard in good form, David Evans. Won three on the trot over C+D in January and Thomas Brown takes off a very important 5 pounds which should make all the difference. I think he will go close.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 4.00 Sandown - 1pt win Master Benjamin @ 8/1 (VC) Jeremy Scott's runner here looks very interesting to me as I think you can excuse a fairly flat run last time out. He wasn't totally disgraced but was uncharacteristically beaten into midfield. However, that came just 8 days after running on heavy ground at Exeter and perhaps just came a bit too soon after those exertions. His run at Exeter looks rock solid as he chased home a horse rated 95 at the time (was 2l behind at the line) and that one has subsequently won off 109 to now get a rating of 120. A repeat of that performance would see him go close I think and he's had a breather since running at Doncaster last time out. He showed solid form in hot novice races - including coming to grief at 2 out when in contention in a decent race won by Poet and his distant staying on 3rd over 2m behind At Fishers Cross also doesn't look too bad now. Is only 4lbs higher than for his runner-up effort at Exeter and considering the way the winner has shot up the ratings since suggest he could be well-handicapped and capable of taking this now that he's had a bit of time to recover from recent runs.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 3:25 Sandown - Fago - Back Ran a belter lto when had a Grade 2 at his mercy before falling at the 2nd last. He was firmly in control having jumped fluently and travelled powerfully throughout and would undoubtedly have run out a wide margin winner. This is much weaker and as long as he puts in a clean round of jumping, he'll prove exceptionally difficult to beat here 1pt win @ 4/11 Hills BOG

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 3:25 Sandown - Fago - Lay 4/11 - 1pt I have to go against others here and say fago is a great lay. Fago's jumping is still a big question mark especially after last time out and Sandown fences are going to be very testing. Both the other horses are LTO winners and too many question mark on fago for it to be this price.

That is why SWK is here today, he will ride them to sleep from the front, kick early in the straight all over. Nothing in this race will get near him, Chelt money stacking up after this one pays, will go off near 6/4. Big price now. All Aboard.:nana

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february Warw 3.50 - Escort'men - ew at 22/1 bog bet365 Won a grade 2 novice hurdle when with Paul nicholls but appears to have gone off the rails a bit in the last few years Ran his best race for a long time last time out here at Warwick in a decent handicap an it might be that stepping up from the minimum trip is what he needs. His previous best run, over a year ago, was also when they ran over two and a half miles. It begins to look as though he keeps running over the wrong trip at 2 miles. His mark has been falling and he's now 19lbs below his hghest winning mark. If stepping up in trip is what he needs, then he could be very well handicapped !

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 7:30 Wolverhampton GOLDSTORM 2.75 Betvictor BOG win Goldstorm has only had a couple of races this year winning in January over course and distance off a mark of 62 by a length. Her next race was up in class in which she ran creditably finishing a length and half behind off a mark of 66. Tonight she runs off the same mark but back down to a class 6 and drawn nicely in 2. Carson takes the ride again and is fancied to win on this lightly-raced horse. Of the competition Monzino hasn't done as well since his well gambled win and follow-up at the start of the year, probably due to him going up in the weights. He runs off the same mark as when beaten last time out by four and a half lengths. Jumbo Prado has gone up 3lbs for finishing 7th in the same race as Goldstorm last time so I can't have that one either. Hail Promenader was well beaten in a claimer last time out.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 20.00 Wolverhampton: Strike Force, 14/1 Bet365, e/w Strike Force finished seven of nine lto over a mile and a half at Lingfield off a career high mark. He ran ok but just didn't see out the trip. He returns to a course that he likes and to a trip that is perfect for him so I think he can defy his mark of 78 and go close today. His three runs before that were over c&d. He was beaten by just a neck in the first of those. He then won by a neck from the re-opposing One Scoop Or Two. He then won impressively two runs ago. He was held up and started making progress 3f out. He got to the lead over a furlong out and easily pulled away from the field to win by 4½L. Trainer Alison Hutchinson has had just 33 runners in her short career so far but she has saddled five winners for a lsp of £14. Jockey Natasha Eaton, who claims five pounds, has ridden this horse nine times, winning three of those and placing three times.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 8:30 Wolverhampton - Master of Disguise - 1pt Win 20/1 BetVictor Trainer/jockey combo just had a winner in the 7:30 albeit a favourite, could well have come here tonight for the double. Won twice from 5 runs over tonight's C+D and drawn fairly well if getting the breaks. Competitive race but this horse won races off higher marks and was quite close in a higher class race last time out, worth a shot at the odds for me.
