Re: Serie A - March 17-19 At first glance, Cagliari with new-old coach Ficcadenti for this one against Cesena. Bologna is flying at the moment, while Chievo not that good as visitor. It will be interesting to see how will Inter respond after last minute schocks from yesterday. Lecce - Palermo should have a lot of goals in them. Siena is strong at home, but at this price too short. Udinese - Napoli will be probably very tight and under seems like a good option but many things will depend on tonights performance of Napoli in Stamford Bridge. Roma should win against Genoa and over should also be an option.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 I can only say, books have done their homework again, but that is usual practice these days. Apart from Inter last week vs. Chievo, term value is long gone in Serie A and that trend is now also noticable in Serie B, but still more options there to catch some good odds.

So you mean team value?

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 I think he was referring to the noun value.;) Roma is the best bet for me. The odd is not big, but the probability in my opinion is big. They play really nice football, they create plenty of chances. Genoa is not that good away, especially without Gila. IMO, Bologna won't lose, they are in-form, especially Diamanti. That man can easily play for the biggest teams in Italy. This season way better than Sneijder, for example. Lecce will surely score, I am only having a question whether to play BTS or HW. Something about injuries. At one blog, I read that Di Michele, Lamela and Miccoli are questionable. Any sure info? Thanks.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Catania v Lazio Have to agree the prices seem spot on for virtually every match, so not much value there. My Italian Ratings show Catania and Lazio are 2 teams that love to attack, so perhaps there is some value after all. Under 2.5 is usually the way forward in Italy but the prices usually reflect that too. I think these 2 teams can definitely produce goals though. The stats definitely point to an over 2.5 in this match, so that's what I'll be going with. Overr 2.5 @ 2.07 Bet365

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Inter v Atalanta Sunday 18th March 14.00 I think there might be value with Atalanta here at 6.0. It's a fairly local fixture with a slight derby flavour. Inter have been very poor recently, and were knocked out of the Champions League by Marseille in the week. Atalanta have a reasonable away record and are in good form with 9 points fromt ehir last 5 games (Inter have 4 from the same period). With much more pressure on Inter, I think the odds should be a lot closer than 1.67/6.0. It's a game I'll try and watch in-play.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 That really is a naughty looking card. Atalanta did register with me though and I think it is the only match that may hold something interesting. Lecce-Palermo on paper says goals, but without Miccoli I don't think we can safely say Palermo will even score. If Fiorentina had Jovetic I would see something in fading Juventus. Lot's of if's and not much to go on for me this weekend.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Further to the above post there are a few missing players for Inter-Atalanta. Inter only have 4 midfielders available in Cambiasso, Poli, Obi and Palombo. Given that they will play 4-4-2 that is an issue. Zanetti will likely play RM and Obi LM. Forlan can be pulled back but is not ideal. Atalanta themselves are missing Denis up front. I think there is something in Under 2.5 goals for this. I'd imagine there will be a very flat atmosphere in the Inter squad having been knocked out of the CL. There is nothing for them to play for now and they are an ageing squad who have won a lot. Atalanta will have an inexperienced front line in Marilungo and Gabbiadini.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Fiorentina vs Juventus Round 28 Serie A Italian Football, which will play Fiorentina and Juventus. The match will be held at the stadium Artemio Franchi. Fiorentina has settled down to the 15th place in Serie A and only 7 points separated the team from the relegation zone. The only thing that can distinguish positive from Fiorentina, is the fact that early in the season, teams played even worse in the second part they took a lot more points. Their last game away against Catania, Fiorentina lost (0-1), they did not look very bad and if they had a little luck and the players had realized their scoring moments, they could win. Today Fiorentina takes Juventus. It will be a challenge for them. The game promises to be a very interesting and at the same time it is very difficult for the hosts. Fiorentina have a very significant one loss, will not be able to play striker Jovetic. Juventus is really in very bad shape. And if you look at the last results, one can conclude that they simply do not know how to output the team of this strange situation. In this season has never lost, on their account 13 wins and 14 draws, with a difference of 39-17. At the moment, Juve takes second place in the standings, four points behind Milan. If Juventus wants to fight for the championship at the end of the season, they need to make a serious effort to do so, and to play for win not protect an unbeaten record. Recent results surprised - in the last 4 of 5 matches Juventus managed to draw. Three games in a row has been completed with a score of 1:1 and the 4th game was finished 0-0. Very interesting results. In this game, I invite you to play a clear winner Fiorentina 3.75 Bet365, because it should still happen today, but you can play a draw no bet too. So, Il Scudetto to go directly to Milano. And extra bonus, Amauri (Fiorentina) segna gol da ex at 4.00 Bet365 (anytime). Good Luck!

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Quite amazing how Lecce-Palermo stayed 1-1. Whenever I watch Lecce they always seem to fall just short after huffing and puffing. I think I may look at them in their next two matches against relegation candidates though. They always have a go and do have some decent attackers. Inter...

Roma v Genoa Genoa is on 13th place with 33 points and achieved so far 9 victories, 6 draws and 12 defeats. Genoa in last five games played is without victory, they draw with Juventus Torino, Lecce and FC Parma and lost with Chievo Verona and Atalanta Bergamo. Francesco Totti will miss from AS Roma but will be great forwards in first line such as Pablo Osvaldo, Fabio Borini and Bojan and home team cannot miss all the 3 points in this game when will be with home court advantage on their side. Verdict: Roma to win Source:

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 Roma -genua roma need victory to keep up with Lazio Napoli and Udinese for CL qualifying third place. Lazio lost yesterday, Napoli and Udinese drew. Genua with three draws recently. After winning in Palermo last week, they need a run now. I believe in Roma to win @1.5

We appreciate the effort guys but in this section of the forum you need to provide the bookmaker with which you recommend taking the bet. Also, there is always more to a match than 'X needs to win to maintain their position'.

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 I do agree with the thinking that Roma will win this match, but whether or not there is any value is another question. Given how up and down they have been, 1.5 is a tricky proposition. Having said that Genoa have been terrible lately. They have scraped comeback draws against Parma and Lecce and somehow avoided defeat against Juventus. Prior to those, they lost against Catania, Atalanta and Chievo. Away from home they have been awful, showing a really weak mentality. They still possess some individual talent in Palacio and a man who he can feed in Gila. Backed by Jankovic they can cause problems but I don't see much for them in this match. Roma are without Taddei, Juan and Totti. Genoa miss Granqvist, Kucka and probably Sculli. I think the loss of Totti is actually a benefit because although he is still supremely talented with the ball, movement and work ethic are more important to unsettling Genoa. You don't need to thread champagne balls through tight gaps. Simple pressure will get the job done in time. Lamela, Osvaldo and Borini is a potentially troublesome three. Roma will have a lot of the ball in this one and I don't think Genoa will be as threatening as other teams on the counter. They really don't have a good enough defence to hold out so it's a case of how effective Roma are at finishing. Juventus paid the price last week. I don't think there is any value at all below 1.5. I do think Roma can open Genoa up and win by a few so handicap's are options. I'm going to have a small play on -1.5 because, the supreme amount of possession Roma will have combined with Genoa's dire performance's in away matches will give the home side plenty of opportunities. Roma -1.5 - 2.2 - 3 points - Bet365

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 No pre game bets for me on this one aswell. Roma are better, but again they have problems at back, and LE again reshuffling the backline - Taddei on right side predicted, with advantage to Angel (beats me why really, but coach knows best), Greco in midfield? Dont know why Marquinho wont start as i do like what i saw from him so far, some excellent crossing and with Osvaldo back, LE will need those. Rosi on RB is ok, he is good players, much underated, but own goal/clumsy tackles/red card lover Kjaer is again in last line, thanks god he will have experienced Heinze next to him. Gago and DDR means excellent destrying unit. Genoa dangerous with everything from defence up. But backline is Crotone quality (a bit overeacting from me). Palacio, Gila, Jankovic, Biondini, Veloso and Mesto are players that i like very much, again questions are about Genoa performance, they can go either Jekyl or Hide..but i dont see them having clean sheet today, the sheer look on the names that are infornt of poor Frey mean state of emergency. As said, no way of pre game betting here. Overs are bet served hot on plate, but 1.66 for o2.5 is thin, and o3 is playable only if there are goals in first 15 minutes (yeah, live). Hcp is set high and i wont touch that one. So, conclusion is formula: COLD BEER (+SNACKS IF NOT ON DIET), + WATCH DIRECT TRANSMISSION + OCCASIONAL SCRATCH TO THE INTIMATE PARTS + COMPUTER NEARBY, WITH OPENED PAGE OF SELECTED BOOKIE = LIVE BET GAME. rgds

Re: Serie A - March 17-19 AS Roma v Genoa ◦  The last eight meetings between these two sides have been won by the home side. ◦  Roma have scored in each of the last nine meetings against Genoa/ 19 goals, average of 2.1 goals a game. ◦  Genoa have the worst defence in Serie A I agree with the reasoning already mentioned by most of you.. At home, Roma have actually been in good form this season, 3 defeats in the 13 home league games (v Cagliari, Milan & Lazio). They have also scored in every league game this season at the Olimpico. Stekelenburg & Osvaldo are back in the squad tonight after their recent suspensions. Fabio Borini has been responsible for most of the goals recently and is in great form. I fancy him to get 1 tonight. Genoa are terrible away from home, with just 2 wins this season. They conceded 21 goals in the last six away games. Without Bovo & Granqvist, I can't see them stopping Roma here tonight Home win @ 1.50 - PP Roma (-1) @ 2.30 - PP

Re: Serie A - March 17-19

Roma -1.5 - 2.2 - 3 points - LOSS
This looked nailed on just after the match started. Roma were playing fantastic football and then after 25 minutes the impetus and quality got sucked out of their play. They were rarely troubled (save Palacio missing a sitter) but their inconsistency was seen in 90 minutes. Genoa escape after another performance that could have seen a hiding.
