Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Chile-Ghana (playing in USA) - Chile -0,5 AH @2,05 bet365 Ghana didn't play a really good African Cup of Nations. They where one of the favourites to win the tournament but finished 4th in the end. They have a good team, a lot of players playing in big clubs in Europe. but a lot of players are not with the team today. If we can trust wikipedia this are the called players for this game.

a lot of big names not on this list. some of them injured, some of them having visa problems, and some suspect a bad atmosfere in the team after finishing 4th in the ACF. On the other side, Chile, from last 4 friendlies lost 3. But i think today they can win. they have a strong team, with Alexis Sanchez in great form, surelly can score today.

I watched some Ghana games in ACF and they didn't impress me. If they would have a full squad today I would have some doubts but would still have a bet on Chile. And with those missing players, I'm sure to have a big bet on Chile. I think 6/10 is worth a try. :hope

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Odds not up for lots of other games yet, so thought I'd start with the first friendly game. Interesting one here, not sure why Latvia are so long. Game will be played in Austria, and is one of three that the Poles are playing before the tournament. Next one is Slovakia, final one is target practice against the Andorrans. Post more when there is more info, but like I say, Latvia are big, and a handicap looks my first call.

Without doing any research into this particular game, my first reaction would be that the odds are about right. Latvia are quite a poor side. Unders might be worth a look as these friendlies at neutral grounds tend to produce dull games, but no prices out as yet.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Only really interested in the Jamaica one personally. Panbet have thirty odd markets for this one. The only info I've found is here, if anybody is bothered: http://www.thereggaeboyz.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=196718 The +2 on Guyana is 1.85, which might be a good shout. Only other one that really interests me is to play it a bit safer and take Jamaica to score first @ 1.32.

I like my CONCACAF football, so I'm interested in this as well. Not sure if there's too much value though. Guyana are traditionally a poor side but have done well lately, qualifying for the next stage of World Cup qualifying which is a major feat for them. They beat Trinidad & Tobago at home during the last stage of qualification, and finished above them. They have some players from decent leagues including Carl Cort, although he is now 34 and looking to pursue a career in Qatar or somewhere like that, according to the link you gave. Jamaica are probably the best Carribean side. You'd fancy them to win but certainly no value at 1.25 I'd say. Oh and you're right, Latvia are not as bad as I thought. 1.45 for Poland does look a bit short.

No, it took 'em 'til the 61st minute, so they were short. I'm not a huge follower of CONCACAF, but I think, like a lot of international footballer, the bookies often price things up incorrectly, and there's bets to be had.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Latvia AH +1 @ 2.02 (Bet365) I'm actually taking them AH + 1.5 @ 1.55, but obviously suggest the +1 for people who prefer larger odds. The following players only joined up today, and so I would of assumed would play a minimal part in the match tomorrow, if at all.

Robert Lewandowski, Jakub Błaszczykowski, Łukasz Piszczek (Dortmund) Wojciech Szczęsny, Dariusz Dudka (Auxerre) Maciej Rybus (Terek Grozny) Ludovic Obraniak (Bordeaux) Damien Perqius (Sochaux) Kamil Glik (Torino). The first two are key, and if their absent I think it'll help this bet, evevn though Poland still have a good squad. The Poles are an improving team it seems, but not the type to put lesser sides to the sword. With it being the first warm-up I'd hope as well that they won't be too fired up yet. Latvia are a silly side. They drew against Kazakhstan in their last game, but gave Croatia a tough time of it in the one before that. Very up and down, but they seem to be more motivated against the better teams, judging from their Euro qualifiers, where my bet would of won in their games at Israel, Greece and Georgia. They play one more friendly after this in preperation for the World Cup qualifiers, so I would hope they'll be taking it seriously too. They have a full squad, apart from veteran striker Verpakovskis.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Poland vs Latvia Under 2.5 @ 1.93 (188bet) Poland don't tend to score that many goals, only three in their last five games for instance, and they tend to have underish games against sides weaker than them; they only managed 1-0 wins over Georgia and Moldova in recent friendly games. Going back a bit further the trend continues with a 0-0 draw with Finland and a 1-0 win over Canada. Poland are quite strong defensively though, lately they managed clean sheets against Portugal, Bosnia and Belarus. Latvia are lacking firepower in this game- their attack looks quite inexperienced with the four forward players in the squad all in their early twenties and with only Rudnevs having more than ten caps to his name. So I think there is a good chance of Poland keeping a clean sheet. Latvia have been underish lately as well, with 63% of their games featuring less than 3 goals since World Cup qualifying ended in 2009. It should be stated that they have played some very defensive sides in Greece, Georgia and Malta in that time, however. They don't tend to score or concede a lot, although there are a few exceptions in the latter case, for instance conceding 4 against Czech Republic in a friendly back in 2010. Still, they only lost 2-0 in Croatia lately, and going back further they had narrow friendly defeats to China, Ghana and South Korea (all 1-0). This game will be played in a training camp in Austria. I would imagine it would be a game in which both teams experiment a fair bit with their team selections. They will be few if any fans there, probably just a few interested observers who live locally. My experience of such games is that they are most often very dull affairs, with little incentive to win due to the nature of the game and the lack of support. Although Poland will have the greater incentive with the Euros coming up for them, the players will not want to risk injury and they must be very tired of playing friendlies as it is all they have done since an unsuccessful World Cup qualification ending in 2009. It's quite a tight game for value, but the 1.93 for unders is worth taking IMO bearing all the above in mind.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Albania AH O 1.63 (Panbet) May be able to get better odds, but I'm not with any of the other bookmakers that have this one. Fairly strong squad for Albania, with the only player that really stands out as a loss is the striker Salihi, although I have to admit I'm no expert on this team. New coach for Albania, with his first game being a decent 1-2 loss at Georgia, where Georgia scored in the 88th minute (a goal I think Pg_Yid remembers :lol) Hopefully they'll be looking to impress the new guy, and continue their development. Albania are a decent side, holding Romania twice and making life difficult for the French in a 2-1 win, two notable performances from the Euro qualifiers. Qatar have a busy schedule of five matches in the next three weeks, the last three matches being important World Cup qualifiers. Their season just finished this weekend, I believe, so I would hope for a pretty downbeat performance from them. Looking at their results they're a very limited side, with their best recent result being a 2-2 draw against the Iranians. This game will be played at Rayo Vallecano's ground.

Bayern Munich - Netherlands Well this is the most ridicolous friendly for long time. Nobody is interested in that match, just 25000 tickets are sold till now. This match was placed after the injury drama of Robben at national team last year to give bayern some compensation for his injured missing. But the date of this friendly no one likes, specially bayern dont care about this match. On Saturday they lost their game of the live in their home town munich with tragedy. They were so much better team but wasted so many chances and Chelsea defended clever and won very lucky after penalty in the end. Bayern players should be very demoralized and need a break of soccer to get their minds fit for upcoming EURO 2012 where they have big aims with germany to get the title. Nobody wants to risk a injury in this match, ribery wont play for sure and also robben will play just some low minutes. Many key plyers will be rested. Netherlands on the other side can use this match to prepare for the EURO 2012 and players can show themself to the coach and the starting eleven. Netherlands player should be much more motivated and i dont think that they will lose against a knocked bayern team. A draw is also very possible for me so i prefer the save bet on Netherlands with great odds. Draw no bet Netherlands@1,61

In their last 10 games, Albania have only won one against Montenegro, and have lost 7 and drawn 2. They have played some top sides including France and Argentina, but also some minnows like Luxembourg and Azerbaijan. Qatar have won 2, drawn 7 and lost 1 of their last 10. Two draws with Iran and one with Iraq are creditable. On average, Albania seem to have played stronger opponents, to put the two records into context. http://uk.soccerway.com/matches/2012/05/22/world/friendlies/albania/qatar/1284418/ It's hard to say which way this game will go, but there isn't obvious value on Albania to me.

I'm from albania, albania will play with youth team,i think under 2.5 is a very reasonable bet which is quoted @ 1.75 at local bookies here, also under 1.5 @ 3.20....good luck!

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Today i am going with Albania DNB with PP with odds 2.10, i just cant understand why the odss have risen to be honest, as i certainly rate Albanian team higher tha the qatar one. For this game Albania with have a decent Attack with the experienced striker Erion Bogdani ( Fc Siena) and Edgar Cani ( Polonia Warsaw) who scored his first goal for his country against Georgia in their previous friendly match. In midfield there will be Jahmir Hyka ( Fc Luzern) who has been scoring goals lately for his team, Ervin Bulku ( AZAL Baku), Emiliano Vilaj ( Pas Giannina ), Elis Bakaj ( Chernomerets Odesa), Their captain and their team leader Loric Cana ( Lazio ) who has been playing very good with Lazio in their last few games. Defence will be good also, with Armend Dallku ( VOrskla Poltava), Ansi Agolli ( Qarabag), Andi Lila ( PAS Giannina) and their New reqruit Mergim Mavraj who will be one to watch who plays for ( Greuther Furth). All in one i just cant understand why the odds have risen on Albania, but i certainly cant see Albania loosin this match, but i am taking the safer option DNB with high stakes Prediction 1:0/ 2:0 to Albania.
