Sailing Grace 13.00 Ayr 3 Pts Win @ 8\15 (bog)

Dartmouth filly. Dam (h112), bumper/2m-19f hurdle winner, sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Taniokey. Jumped left at times but still managed to make a winning debut at Newton Abbot in October. One to beat.

Constitution Hill 13.55 Kempton 2 Pts Win @ 1\7 (bog)

Exceptional novice hurdler, winning Grade 1 Tolworth and Supreme by a combined 34 lengths. Underlined he could be one of the best hurdlers seen for a long time when easily accounting for Epatante in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle last month. Can't be opposed.

Facile Vega 13.45 Leopardstown 1 Pt Win @ 1\5 (bog)

Highly promising individual. 1/9, career best when winning 16-runner novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, soft) on hurdles bow 24 days ago, impressively. Very difficult to oppose.

Allegorie De Vassy 13.30 Limerick 4 Pts Win @ 8\15 (bog)

Promising mare who arrives unbeaten for Willie Mullins' readily making it 2-2 in a Grade 3 mares' novice at Fairyhouse (18.5f) in January, quickening clear run-in. One to take seriously with attentions now turned to chasing after 11 months off the track.

Brazil 13.30 Limerick 5 Pts Win @ 2\11 (bog)

Won the Fred Winter at Cheltenham Festival in March and stepped up on reappearance when landing 4-runner Fishery Lane Hurdle (15/8) at Naas (16f, soft) 47 days ago by 3½ lengths from Fil Dor, value for a bit more than the winning margin. The one to beat.

2nd yesterday - another match today

Crystal Glory 13.00 Haydock 6 Pts Win @ 4\9 (bog)

Useful novice hurdler last season (fourth in Aintree Grade 1 final start) and made an impressive winning start to his chase career at Hexham (3m, heavy) last month, jumping like an old hand. Definitely more to come.

Pulled Up yesterday - what odds for picking the loser in two two horse races :$ :cry

Jet Powered 12.40 Newbury 7 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

Bought for 350,000 gns after winning sole start in Irish points and impressed on Rules debut when landing a 12-runner C&D novice last month. Exciting prospect for top connections and very much the one to beat.

A good 5th yesterday :puke

Wrappedupinmay 15.50 Exeter 8 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

€30,000 3-y-o, Ocovango gelding. Brother to point/bumper winner Glenglass, and half-brother to bumper winner/useful hurdler Mrs Hyde. Easy winner sole start in Irish points (Apr 24) and looks to have been found a good opportunity making debut under Rules.

Another match today :loon

Stage Star 12.30 Plumpton 8 Pts Win @ 1/6 (bog)

Challow Hurdle winner last season who quickly made up for disappointing efforts at the spring festivals with a impressive performance on chase debut at Warwick on return. Failed to land odds in Grade 2 at Newbury since but can quickly resume winning ways.

1st today @ 1/6

Jem In Em 12.45 Musselburgh 8 Pts Win @ 10/11 (bog)

Placed only start in points and did well under the circumstances to make winning Rules/bumper debut at Perth (16.2f). Not seen to best effect upped in grade at Cheltenham and shaped like a stayer when runner-up on Kelso hurdling debut. Will improve, especially now upped significantly in trip.

3rd yesterday

Fairy Gem 15.00 Hereford 9 Pts Win @ 2/1 (bog)

Fairly useful in bumpers (winner on debut) but has failed to meet expectations on both starts over hurdles, including upped in trip last time. Clearly thought capable of better and maybe first-time cheekpieces will unlock some improvement

Mrs Grimley 13.00 Ffos Las 7 Pts Win @ 11\10 (bog)

Fair bumper winner who has shown similar form over hurdles, finishing well ahead of the rest behind a promising one at Southwell (15.8f) last time. Sets a clear standard and open to further improvement.

** Don't believe I forgot to post here yesterday, anyhow for the record it was a loser Impose Toi. I will be adding this loser to the stats.

Bo Zenith 12.05 Sandown 2 Pts Win @ 1\5 (bog)

Zarak gelding who looked a good prospect when landing newcomers race (from another useful prospect) at Auteuil (14.9f) sole start for David Cottin back in April. Another exciting French recruit for his good yard and highly respected.

Ioupy Collonges 14.40 Exeter 5 Pts Win @ 8\13 (bog)

€40,000 3-y-o, 60,000 gns 4-y-o, Kitkou gelding. Half-brother to fair chaser Guguss Collonges. Placed both starts in points in May and positively ridden when landing a bumper at Hereford in November. This looks a good opening switched to hurdling.

2nd yesterday

Broomfield Present 12.30 Catterick 6 Pts Win @ 8\11 (bog)

Took 4 attempts to get off the mark in points but opened his account at the first time of asking under Rules in 8-runner maiden at Ffos Las (20f) 48 days ago, staying on to lead soon after last. Step up in trip will suit and he's sure to improve.

2nd today

Inneston 14.30 Huntingdon 7 Pts Win @ 4\6 (bog)

Landed a bumper for Gabriel Leenders on his only start in France and shaped with plenty of encouragement sent hurdling after 15 months off when 22 lengths third in introductory event at Newbury (16.3f, soft) 13 days ago. Sure to improve and win races over hurdles.

Flame Bearer 14.47 Fairyhouse 7 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

Smart hurdler for P. M. J. Doyle who made a promising chase/yard debut after 8 months off when third in 2m4f Naas maiden last month. Sure to improve and win races in this sphere.

1st @ 2\5 yesterday

Impaire Et Passe 12.10 Punchestown 7 Pts Win @ 1\4 (bog)

Easily won only start in bumpers for Y. Fouin at Nancy last March before changing hands for €155,000. Looked potentially out of the top drawer when justifying strong support on hurdling debut at Naas last month and can take this step up in grade in his stride.

Gaelic Warrior 13.50 Clonmel 1 Pt Win @ 1\5 (bog)

Saved for the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival in March and almost landed an almighty gamble, going like the best prospect in the field only for his relative inexperience to cost him. Easily landed short odds in Tramore maiden on return in December. Hard to beat again.

Gaelic Park 13.25 Plumpton 7 Pts Win @ 2\7 (bog)

Well-bred point winner who went in again under a no-nonsense ride in a Warwick bumper in February. Best hurdles effort when runner-up at Hereford last month and very much the one to beat back up in trip.

Its For me 14.17 Navan 7 Pts Win @ 4\6 (bog)

€40,000 3-y-o, Jeu St Eloi gelding. Dam, 17f hurdle winner in France, half-sister to useful hurdler (stays 2¼m) Gin Coco. Successful sole start in points (Apr 16). Obvious one on paper.

** 45 selections this year, 11 ridden by Paul Townend, 11 winners

Uncle Bert 14.00 Ffos Las 7 Pts Win @ 11\10 (bog)

Pether's Moon gelding who has plenty about him physically and has found only one too good on both his starts over hurdles to date. Step up in trip will suit and he's very much the one to beat.
