Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season 2.10 Doncaster: Fairview Sue 1pt EW 10/1 Bet365 Bit of a shot in the dark here but I have been watching Fairview Sue in her novice hurdles, she travelled extremely well the time before last at Worcester and finished in front of Kentford Grey Lady. Last time out on sticky ground she again trevelled ok until weakening badly in the straight. Something may have gone wrong or it could have just been the ground that day. Anyway she lines up here in a Mares race and is handicapped for the first time. A mark of 106 looks very lenient from what I have seen and willing to give here a shot in a pretty average race on better ground. The stable are going ok and the price is fair enough for an EW bet.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Top Rated Today; Doncaster: 105 Sant Are (15/8 Sky) Cheltenham: 1210 Hinterland (1/3 Bet365) ______________________ 3.05 Cheltenham: Menorah 2pts 7/2 Bet365 Grandouet has always been more suited to flat tracks and has been beaten twice here before, Overturn would have lost to Oscar Whisky and beat Binocular on his seasonal debut which wasnt a great surprise so is a tad flattered in my opinion and he too would like a flat speedy track. This leaves Menorah who loves it here, won the race last season and looked as good as ever when last seen at Exeter on his chasing debut. The yard are going really well and the price is worth getting involved with.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Fakenham: 3.30 Revani 3rd 0.00 _______________________ Top Rated Catterick: 12.50 Time Out (5/4 PP) Folkestone: 12.40 Double Ross (11/4 WH) ____________________ 1.40 Folkestone: Hollow Blue Sky 1pt EW (14/1 VCBet) This one is quite well regarded and certainly hasnt shown his best yet in his two runs over hurdles, some late progress last time was promising and now stepping up to this 2m6f trip should see him in much better light. His first run behind Jump City reads quite well and looks to have most to fear from the King horse Monturgeon. I think Hollow Blue Sky is over priced at 14/1 and represents a bit of value.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Top Rated Yest Catterick: 12.50 Time Out Won Folkestone: 12.40 Double Ross Won +4.00 _________________________________ 1.40 Folkestone: Hollow Blue Sky Lost Was backed from 14/1 to 11/2 and moved up ok down the backstraight, effort petered out quickly so you have to think he either didnt stay or wants better ground, will be handicapped now and could be interesting. Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Top Rated Bangor: 2.20 Bruslini (8/1 Bet365) Newbury: 2.35 Time For Rupert (8/13 Hills) Newbury 2.00: Polisky 2pts (11/8 SJ) I have this one well clear on ratings after a good effort behind Fingal Bay at Cheltenham in a graded contest. His other runs are well up to this class anyway and should have no trouble landing a race like this on his way to better things. The Henderson horse beat Cinders And Ashes last time at Ascot but was probably flattered a bit and has to carry a penalty which should put paid to his chances.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Top Rated Today; Ascot :1.55 Molotof (5/2 VCBet) Uttoxeter: 12.35 Triptico (4/1 Bet365) ______________________ 12.05 Uttoxeter: Bubbly Bruce 1pt EW 16/1 PP Caught the eye on his first run at Exeter and went onto my list of horses to follow, not ran since and this looks full of unexposed sorts so he may be shooting too high here but worth a little interest EW. Tarn Hows has a decent piece of form and the Pipe debutant is well regarded, anyway the price is right at around 16/1.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Plenty of good horses on show today and a couple I have been waiting for; 2.35 Haydock: Wymott 2pts (3/1 Bet365) Very promising chaser last season and made a good comeback at Newbury in the Hennessey when finishing 6th. Runs off a mark of 144 so hasnt reached the potential of his hurdles mark yet so should be able to take a race like this. 2.10 Haydock: Attaglance 1pt EW (9/1 Bet365) Ran very well at Haydock behind Any Given Day and is only a pound higher here, he may want better ground but at these weights he must be given a chance to act on the heavy conditions. He looks to have plenty of stamina and is clearly still improving. Sparky May runs at Ascot with Big Bucks and co. I hope she runs well but would be much more inclined to have a bet if there was 8 runners and will wait for her take on the mares again later in the year. Top Rated; Ascot : 1.55 Aerial (9/4 BlSq) Newcastle: 12.35 Blenheim Brook (2/7 Bet365) Haydock: 12.40 Stormy Weather (5/2 Betfred)

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Not had a bet on this thread for ages due to the ground but fancy one or two today; 1.30 Fontwell: Miss Milborne 2pts (2/1 SJ) This mare has finished 2nd five times now but hasnt strick me as non genuine or anything like that. She again ran well last time when behind Tarbeck and was also second to Kentford Grey Lady, both runs look good in this weak affair. The drop back in trip may help her get home and looks to have the Charlie Mann horse to beat who has had a few placed efforts herself, she wants 3 miles in time so happy to take her on with the selection. 3.10 Kempton: Long Run 2pts (5/4 Bet365) Should be a cracking renewal, I dont think Kauto Star will beat Long Run here, he was obvioulsy spot on at Haydock and Long Run was just short of peak fitness. The race should be run at a good pace and I expect Long Run to defend his crown. Master Minded may chase him home of the Nicholls pair. 2.30 Towcester: Johns Spirit 2pts (Evens SJ) Won his novice hurdle at Stratford and then went down in a close finish in his handicap debut at Southwell, that was a sound effort and should get back to winning ways back in novice comapny despite the penalty. 2.15 Wincanton: Swincombe Flame 2pts (8/11 PP) One of my favourite novices this season, Nick Williams thinks she will go to the top of the mares division and was surprised she got beat on her debut but that turned out to be useful form and she probably needed the experience, improved next time at Exeter to win comfortably and should go on now to much better things. Has to give 7lbs to a decent Alan King mare but hopefully she will be up to it, expected 1/2 so the price is fair.

Re: 2011/12 Jumps Season Todays Top Rated; Chepstow: 12.30 Alfie Spinner (8/13 SJ) Kempton: 1.25 Peddlers Cross (4/6 Bet365) Wetherby: 1.05 Stopped Out (Evens PP) 12.35 Wetherby: Crackentorp 2pts (7/4 Lads) Was really impressed with his win at Market Rasen from Hawk Mountain, he had previoulsy run third to Storm Brig last season and that was useful form. Red Jade won his debut but that race was a weak affair and will find this a lot tougher with the penalty. 245 Chepstow: Countrywide Flame 2pts (3/1 SJ) John Quinn has done well with Countrywide Flame, he won a Cartmel in really soft conditions so should cope with the ground at Chepstow. He was beaten at Wetherby but is much better off with Secret Edge here. The McCain horse Hollow Tree is the fav but his form at Cheltenham hasnt been franked. 205 Kempton: Kentford Grey Lady 2pts (5/2 Bet365) One on my list to follow Kentford Grey Lady is a really progressive mare and could be well in here on her handicap debut. Trotted up last time and will love this trip and she takes time to get into her races. Does take on much better company here but hopefully can continue to improve.
