These 2 aren't a bad read if the value stuff interests you, especially the Mark Coton book as he was the original Pricewise of the racing post.
If memory serves me right picked these 2 up at a charity shop for a couple of quid each and both unread just the dust covers a bit tatty

I have the book .
Its the basic stuff you find in most other system/method type books dressed up in his version of how it should be used, a lot of padding just to tell you to select unexposed horses from trainers in profit  with over 10 wins and @ 20% sr .
As with most "value" system/methods long losing runs are inevitable (he states his is 39 with a largest draw-down of 79.62pts) . ok if your playing to small stakes, I wouldnt expect many high stakes players would entertain it unless they had a high 5 figure backup bank
I personally think you could come up with something better yourself  just looking at racing stats.
Seems he's a "pro gambler" , system seller , writes books and sells tips usually means deals in BS

Not too many winning selections posted! Smolov got the hook to land 1 bet for me and the late (and cheap) Russian yellow minimised my card loss but that sell of time of 1st Saudi tournament goal looks not too clever now.

Under 2.5 goals looks good either way @ 1.57 most books
or Saudi win & under 2.5 goals @ 12.00 Hills

Call me bonkers, but the Saudis at 9/1 (10.00) is nothing short of outrageous!  

Take out the Peru match and they lost 2-1 to both Italy and Germany, and beat Algeria and Greece 2-0 - that's decent form!
Russia are sooooo over-estimated in my opinion, they are hopeless and winless in 7 matches (last 4 being atrocious) now and they'll be bang under it come kick off.
This isn't about historical trends of shocks in opening matches, this is just a match that is horrendously priced and I wouldn't back Russia against Barnet right now.
