@888888 @four-leaf Badosa had some unfortunate words towards the catalan language and she was criticized for that. She apologized..., but she had to restrict her social media. She only has won 1 match (1-5) since all that happened. She's a very emotional person and these kind of things affect her so much. Sooner or later she will overcome it, but backing her at low odds is not a good idea right now.

    Trying the following acca tonight.
Barrere to beat Otte at 1.81
Barrere has a 2-0 head to head advantage and has beaten Otte indoors before in France and he was pretty good in the qualies. Otte hasn't got much of a form since being so successful on grass this summer.
Gasquet to beat Thiem at 1.83
Thiem is still so far away from his best you could start to wonder if he ever will get back to top 50 even. He's not there at all while Richard still has the skills indoors. He's beaten Thiem twice indoors before and Thiem really is not a great example of someone you can rely on at an indoor hardcourt.
    Total odds: 3.31 at Coolbet

@Swiss Maestro apparently he said so but I think the era of Nadal/Djokovic is coming to an end soon.. Murray and Federer are already gone. Highly doubtful that Nole even gets past the borders of Australia next year.

Isn't so surprising judging by the way Badosa has been these last months which is not very encouraging and Qinwen is a decent player on the rise.

I think Bergs against Basilashvili at 1.60 with BetVictor looks good today, it's probably worth it to keep opposing Basilashvili until he gets a win. He was going through some rough issues off the court recently, and who knows how ready he is.

Today, I think there's value in Ruud over Alcaraz at 2.95 with Unibet. Ruud has arguably beaten some better hard court players here, and he's also spent much less time on the court, which could prove to be an issue if the match goes on for a while, which I think it will. Most importantly, though, he's already played in a GS final before, and that's a factor you never want to underestimate in this kind of matches, as you just never know if/how the pressure will get to a player.

This USO will be remembered as the edition where the big 4 finally lost their grip.

Maybe we should focus on information regarding visible or potential physical problems as tennis is such a physical sport and performance obviously can decrease dramatically due to injuries. Also, while recent results are available on many websites, such information is not so easy to get, you need to watch matches (does the movement change? what happens during medical timeouts?) or pick it up somewhere else, e.g. internet forums.
And it's not just the player itself but also the opponents in recent matches which are interesting. Here I'm wondering: Is Karan Khachanov the luckiest player ever in a Grand Slam? He was about to be 2-1 behind against Jack Draper until Draper got an injury which made him retire from the match. Then, he won in 5 sets against a physically struggling Carreno Busta who already had a long medical timeout with a physio helping out in the match before. And then he got lucky to play against a Nick Kyrgios who very obviously had a physical problem (movement/calf) and took an early medical timeout.
So, I'm not that impressed by Khachanov's performance, he should not have reached this stage of the tournament. Ruud's level is generally higher, even on hard court and he tends to beat players he should beat.
In terms of Carlos Alcaraz, it seems more of a guessing game how much he might struggle due to fatigue. Maybe he will recover surprisingly well due to being just 19 years old and very fit. But this is not guaranteed and the likelihood of him getting injured within the match should be higher than for other players who don't have such impressive, but also risky movement around the court.

The Tiafoe from last match should show up which is only his usual self but in that last match the Nadal from all his great achievements didn't show up and that happens from time to time and I was expecting Nadal to go out in this edtion of USO sooner or later and it came sooner. So no big surprises there but I would be surprised if Tiafoe gets an equally turned off opponent again this time. Because Nadal has been turned off in winning mood since he won RG this summer. Don't think Wimby helped him much either to achieve something big yet again this season and I don't expect much from Nadal for the rest of this season. It did defenitely help Tiafoe to get the win in round 4 when facing a Nadal who wasn't really up for the task. Ever since this tournament started Nadal has been playing bad period.
