Newb 2.35 - Dusky Legend - win at 11/8 bog wm hill
Mares novice hurdle
My selection has the best hurdles form when 2nd in a grade 2 at the Festival in March and subsequently won at Warwick
Seems to be suited by decent ground and has run well after a break

Hope I won't be hounded off the forum for this but I've got an admission to make.........for the last couple of months I've mainly been betting on football
Nothing fancy.......single win only bets on Premier League games, looking at teams that are Evens or better or just a shade of odds-on
If you think about it every match is like a 3 horse race.........you've got to have a decent chance of picking a winner !

Trotter got a reaction from Tipsterix in KO Cup Final - Sat 2pm Deadline
Well done Tipsterix !
cheers BH
I've missed out on this comp for a couple of months but hoping to get in for next months (by my fingertips !).........it does liven up Saturdays when you have plenty of runners in the competitions

Trotter got a reaction from BillyHills in Favourites Day on Monday?
I bet they don't all win !..........my well odds-on shot in what turned into a 2 runner race at Carlisle today got thrashed
I reckon 6 will win

Trotter got a reaction from Jimmy2shoes in Race Of The Week - Charlie Hall Chase
Shame there's only 7 runners because with 8 I think Wakanda at 33/1 would be an EW option
Won the listed handicap chase at this meeting last year then followed up in two more listed handicaps
But not worth doing with only 2 places
(of course if there were 8 runners he wouldn't be 33/1 because the bookies would have an eye on the EW market)
Just as an aside I had a good Charlie Hall a few years ago in another 7 runner race.......I posted up Harry Topper (won 5/1) and EW Wayward Prince (2nd 50/1).........ah, the good old days when I could tip winners !........

Newm 1.50 - Blue on Blue - win at 7/4 bog boylesports
2yo maiden 7f
Struggling to find anything over umps today so just going for the first race to get it over with !......
My selection is favourite, comes from the Gosden yard, has Frankie up and ran green on debut, should come on for the run
To be honest I don't think that was a very good race and I'm not sure he's a worthy favourie, My intention was to post up Founding Father but the yard is having such a quiet time in October that it put me off.
I don't think the standard of those with form is that good so a newcomer could win but experience does count for a lot at this stage so fingers crossed........

Trotter got a reaction from richard-westwood in Prix de lArc de Triomphe
Just had a quick look at the horses entered without going into it at much depth.......let's see who turns up !
Just a general thought though
The Arc is the top race in Europe........the Arc winner should be the top horse in Europe or in the top handful
So I don't like going for horses that get beat quite often. If they're in the top handful of European horses they should be winning the races that are just below the Arc !
For example Found keeps finishing 2nd.........if she was an Arc winner she should be winning some of those races
So my shortlist of horses who win a lot......Almanzor (last I heard wasn't an intended runner), Postponed, Harzand, Makahiki, Order of St George, Left Hand

Trotter got a reaction from Tipsterix in Monthly Nap Competition - Sunday 11th Sep 2016
Chantilly 3.50 - Zelzal - win at 2/1 bog wm hill
Plenty of top class racing in France and Ireland on Sunday
I'm going for the group one Mile race at Chantilly
My selection is improving quickly into a top class miler and won a group one over CD last time out.......that was for 3yo and he now takes on the older horses
He doesn't appear to have much to fear from the other 3yo in the race and the two older horses who are 2nd and 3rd favourites have had plenty of chances at the top level without winning
The one I'm worried about is Zarak at 7/1 who has twice finished close up behind Almanzor who stamped himself as the best horse in Europe when winning in Ireland on Saturday........I'm just hoping this mile is too sharp for him dropping back from 10f

1.40 Ling - Madam Prancealot - win at 7/1 bog wm hill
7f nursery
my selection didn't do too much in maidens but ran well on nursery debut last time when stepped up to 7F
Although beaten 5 lengths that was a higher grade and the winner has gone in again since and she's been dropped a couple of pounds
Man of the moment Jim Crowley takes over riding duties.......which is a good sign on the day that his agent says he's going for the Jockey's championship. He wouldn't want t be riding no hopers !

Trotter got a reaction from Jimmy2shoes in Monthly Nap Competition - Thursday July 28th
Ffos Las 6.10 - Zebspear - win at 13/8 bog PP
5f nursery
lots of non runners here have left a field of 3 and surprisingly the Hannon runner is the outsider
I'm skipping over him and going for the current 2nd favourite who ran pretty well at Lingfield (turf) last time in a fast run race and makes his handicap debut today
the favourite has already run in 2 nurseries off a mark of 58 and was narrowly beaten then narrowly won, suggesting that the mark of 58 is about right.......now gone up 5lbs. She's a front runner and I think my selection should be able to track her and pounce late on
