I'd given up my job a few years earlier and was self employed working from home.
After the 'first' plane I went out to a nearby office to do a search in some official records and told the staff there about the news ……. of course I was telling them it looked like a terrible accident !

In what is effectively a 2 horse race we have current best price odds of
Enable 8/13
Crystal Ocean 11/8
Must say I fancy Crystal Ocean to beat the filly. I can't see that Enable will be fully wound up after a year off with injury and they have to leave something to work on for the Arc. I don't think they'll want a hard race
Crystal Ocean has been improving all season and was 2nd in the King George last time. He stays further than 12 furlongs (second in last year's Leger) so I'm thinking they might take him out front and ensure a fast pace to put the filly under pressure if she's not 100%

Just checking the card on the Racing Post site and was a bit shocked to see that their race previewer was skipping the big two and tipping Weekender at 25/1 !
