  1. With the amount of racing we have I think you have to have some filter in your mind in order to cut down the number of races you look at to a reasonable number

    You'd need a team of people to look at every race every day

    Over jumps there's an obvious one to start with ……. hurdles or chases

    You could further cut down by distance …… say 2 miles, under 3 miles or 3 miles and over

    A personal one of mine if I'm in betting mood is to stick to races with 6 or fewer runners but no odds on favourite ,...….. fewer horses to study but odds against bets

    One thing I wouldn't do is concentrate on certain tracks ……. you might find that some days there are no meetings at the tracks you're following. I can see that it is tempting to concentrate on the prestigious tracks but then you might be missing out on horses dropping in class. If sticking to a group of tracks I would stick to tracks with uphill finishes and look for 'uphill finish form' in the runners which is something that most punters won't be looking at and can throw up some decent selections
