Last week was one of my best in a while.  I had West Ham at +250 in a number of acca's and my biggest bet was the Liverpool/Arsenal over.  Only game that really cost me money was United losing, but that's going to happen.  Their expected goals were nearly 3 and the expected goals against was the second lowest for the weekend.  It happens.
I've only made one bet for the weekend and its a big one. Man United +110.  This is just nuts.  I've stated for weeks I have Southampton tipped for the drop.  United isn't great, no.  But they are miles better here.  They've played a very pleasing brand of soccer (yes I'm a yank) the past few weeks, and I just can't imagine how I'm getting +odds in this game.  And if for no other reason there is absolutely no way United can afford to drop any more points after this start.  I'll be back tomorrow night to post the rest of my thoughts, but this one is just a bad line in my eyes.

man utd cannot be trusted at all after previous two games. the players cannot handle the pressure or expectation and it seems solskjaer is putting a lot of faith on rashford scoring goals but he is young player and still needs a lot of experience. i think from now on man utd is going to bust a lot of coupons. i don't see them winning many games. pogba is also playing defensive role which will limit their chances to create in front of goal.
chelsea has got a lot of youth with plenty of energy and that's their good asset however they don't convince me that they can keep a clean sheet in matches which is a problem. the promotion side like sheff utd typical like to play open games and that could mean goals in this match. i also think sheff utd has maturity in them to get something like a draw
it was shock to me that crystal palace won last week but then i knew they are deadly on counter attack. it's only when they need to boss the match they are useless. they sat back and beat man utd in the end but honestly if zaha leaves this teams is heading for relegation.
i think bournemouth are overpriced. you can always rely on bournemouth scoring at least once. leicester is a lot weaker this season. their only saving grace is vardy and his pace but if he doesn't get the service they don't win. it will be close but bournemouth to claim a score draw seems to me like a good bet
i hated watching newcastle beat tottenham last week. they won't it after defending very deep when they got ahead. they will be back to their useless self here. i like watford and i think they have a lot of creative ability and energy. the cup game will give them the boost and could win this
norwich had a flying start this season but i feel west ham are coming into form right now. they've had two decent results on their travels and 3 goals in the back of the net of brighton last week will give them confidence. i think this when they go on unbeaten run and have some consistency. they fact they are playing this match at home suggests to me a solid three point in the bag

lazio was very good last week and they seem to have players to make a impressive impact this season. ac roma was defensively poor and it will take them time to sort it out so lazio should win this
i don't think juventus started that well last week.they should have beaten parma by more goals but this will be very good match. i can actually see ancelotti napoli inflicting an early seaen defeat against juventus. sarri had a lot of problems when managing chelsea with high press and possession game and he is doing the same at juventus. napoli can exploit this and get behind their defensive line. the players are pace and explosive in attack. i'm on napoli to win
i wouldn't bother with ac milan. they are useless and every season they bring in more bags of shit (i.e rubbish players in the team). they have not quality in that team and more often they will just not justify the low odds let alone win their games
atalanta is a banker obviously as torino must travel to play wolves in europa league
sampdoria was awful last week. they couldn't even score at home which busted my acca. i can't really say why they were so bad but they didn't look a cohesive unit. sassuolo could take advantage of their situation and bag a victory

i thought hoffenheim would at last get on the scoresheet last week but they didn't. if that's any hint of their form and future i'll assume they won't be as good this year so the odds on werder bremen are very inviting.
schalke are another team that could trouble bayern munich. bayern munich are few levels lower in quality than previous few seasons and proven by the fact they could win over hertha berlin at home so how can they be favorites here. i'm double chance on schalke.

i fancy southampton to win. i this it's their time after all the effort they have put in in last few games and let's face brighton are not world beaters. this match looks even but southampton is my choice win narrowly
leicester is not going to be as good as they where when they had a but of cutting edge with mahrez, kante and maguire but even so they kept vardy in the team and he needs assists which team has struggled to provide. they look solid side and i fancy them to win this match narrowly as long as they can keep sheff utd away and not invite them on.
i am not convinced by watford at all. they will feel desperate for the win and west ham are capable of punishing them if they press too much. i see another draw honestly but depending if they play a risky attacking games to try to win or more cautious approach. it's hard to tell

my eyes will be on fiorentina to see how they fare against napoli. i respect ancelotti as manager and i think he always get the best out of players but would have liked to a new striker in the club. they are the closest rivals to juventus and they will win a lot of games but fiorentina was just awful. they could win many matches and seem stuck in the loop of draws but this season i want to know if they've got something extra. i'm skipping this match just to be safe
i think sampdoria could win over lazio. they were solid side at home when they had their game on. lazio will play open game and that could cost them here
i like ac roma to win but honestly genoa are the worst side when they dig in and they do it very often against top sides. it's like they have a button on the back of their heads that switches on and they play a superb match and ship a point against top sides. it would happen always but i'm thinking of going double chance on genoa

Granada v Sevilla- Sevilla to win at 1.98 with Pinnacle
Sevilla outplayed and deservedly won against Espanyol in the first round. If they manage to repeat their performance from last week, they should have no problem with Granada. The hosts in this match made a great comeback from 2-4 against Villarreal to 4-4. This was largely due to the poor play in defense of their opponent. Sevilla is posting big ambitions this season and away visits like this should be taken without problems.

there seems to be a lot more focus on defense in everton camp and that's why they haven't been prolific in front of goal. i don't expect more than one goal from everton at this stage. aston villa likewise will fancy themselves getting on the scoresheet but realistically in my opinion this has got a 1-1 draw written on it.

    Aston Villa vs Everton
The Premier League action kicks off early this weekend with a Friday night match-up between top flight new boys Aston Villa and a side hoping to breach the top six this season in Everton. Kick-off is 8pm BST from Villa Park and there is no doubt that both sides could do with the three points here. The visiting side edge it on paper but is that enough?
Aston Villa were criticised for spending over £100 million on new signings over the summer but many felt they had invested more wisely than Fulham had last season. Dean Smith strengthened where necessary and when his side went 1-0 up away to Tottenham in their opening game it looked like his transfer work had been vindicated. However, that game ended up being a 3-1 win for the home team. It was then followed up by a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Bournemouth. The pressure is growing for the Villains to pick up their first points of their first season back in the Premier League.
Everton came into this season with inflated expectations. Despite failing to gain consistency under Marco Silva last season the Toffees faithful feel this could be the campaign where they take the next step up the league table. An underwhelming 0-0 draw away to Crystal Palace did little to get the fans buzzing but the well-fought 1-0 win over Watford at home had a more positive effect. The fact the team has now kept two clean sheets shows that Silva has addressed the defensive frailties of previous seasons that looked like being fixed last season and has continued into this one. Scoring goals at the other end remains an issue though.
This game has a dour affair written all over it. Villa still look a slightly disjointed unit with new signings still being bedded in. Everton look like a side labouring to get goals. It's now less than 2.5 goals scored in 8 of their last 10 league games. It's also 8 clean sheets in their last 10 matches. 4 of their last 5 away matches have seen less than 2.5 goals scored as well. If I was to back a result I'd say a 1-1 draw or a narrow 1-0 win for the away side.

I agree on Stoke, the manager was slagging them off after their last game, I backed them way too many times last season but won't be making that mistake again!
My only bet so far is on Swansea to beat Birmingham. Just short of evens looks a great price to me. I backed Barnsley to beat Birmingham but they weren't good enough, but Swansea are in form and should be in the play-off mix and look more like 1/2 shots to me. Scored 3 in each of their last 3  games and if Birmingham fold like they did against Forest I can see Swansea smashing them, so I will have a small bet on the -2 handicap @ 15/2 as well.

the championship is unraveling very well and so far it's clear where every teams stands strenghtwise and formwise. i think opposing stoke is pretty good way to go. i just think they have lost a bit of their identity. i remember the days when hughes and pulis used to manage them. their physical and hard to breakdown style is gone. they now try to take teams on and win games and i can only see them being a good prey for better teams.
fulham have woken up and adjusted to the championship and the goals at starting to go in as well. i think they will just continue to be better at home especially.
i like preston to win especially at home. preston had a good win at home on wednesday and they should make it double. they will be tough to get the better off at home in this fixture

    Reading vs Cardiff
The Championship has a solitary game on Sunday when Reading and Cardiff go toe-to-toe in a midday kick-off at the Madejski Stadium. This game was re-arranged due to Wales playing England at the Millennium Stadium on the Saturday. Neither of these two teams have had the start to the season they had hoped for so this is a chance to take a move in the right direction.
Reading were temporarily looking like they could be in danger of relegation to League One last season. Jose Gomes replaced Paul Clement to stop the rot but this season hasn't exactly started well. Two defeats against Sheffield Wednesday at home and Hull City away mean that the Royals are the only side in the Championship that are yet to pick up a single point. It also means they are currently rooted to the bottom of the table.
Cardiff fans were high on expectation as the season drew closer but a disappointing transfer deadline day and an opening day defeat to Wigan has tempered the mood. The late victory over Luton at home has restored some faith but the issue remains that this current side is lacking creativity in the starting eleven and everything feels a little bit laboured right now.
I'm a bit nervous about this game tomorrow. Something isn't quite clicking with the Bluebirds right now. I still have complete support for Neil Warnock but the amount of changes from last season in terms of mentality and personnel in the middle of the park is going to take time to bed in. The Cardiff fan in me wants to back us to win but I really don't have the confidence in us right now. It'll come but it's early days. As a tipster, I'm trying to take a step back and I'm going to have to back us to sneak a win. Simply because Reading could well be in trouble this season.

i think man city obviously look stronger when you compare man to man on paper but i don't agree with tottenham odds being as high as 8/1. it's just absurd. i watched tottenham in pre season and damn they were so well drilled side, fit and motivated and they knew what they were doing. they also got pochettino who is just as good as pep if not better coach them him. i only want to say pep guardiola needs football star players costing tens of millions of pounds to lead them to titles i.e, barcelona, bayern munich and now man city but look at pochettino, he doesn't have multi-million budget in tottenham but brings players from the youth system and makes them excellent and for that reason i think tottenham could win this match. it could turn out to be very tactical and i am convinced this match will be very close and no be more than one goal difference after ninety minutes but i am siding with tottenham to win

    Manchester City vs Tottenham
The big game in the Premier League this weekend is scheduled to be played at 5:30pm BST on Saturday evening when reigning title holders Manchester City host Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium. Both sides began their league campaigns with victories last weekend but they came in differing fashion. This is being touted by some as a potential early title six-pointer.
Manchester City destroyed West Ham by a 5-0 score-line in their opening league game of the season last week at the London Stadium. It was a ruthless performance that left many wondering who can possibly stop Pep Guardiola's side this season. The display of Raheem Sterling was a particular highlight. The Citizens are looking to go one better than last season and bag the quadruple. Based on last week's performance, it certainly seems viable. This game will be a huge indicator as to how ready they are against their biggest threats in the league.
Tottenham were looking in trouble last weekend when they found themselves 1-0 down at home to newly promoted Aston Villa. A much-improved second-half performance saw Mauricio Pochettino's men score three goals to win 3-1. The brace by Harry Kane showed his reputed August jitters might not be an issue this season and the performance of record signing Tanguy Ndombele showed their business during the summer has been effective. It was Spurs who ended City's Champions League hopes last season so a win here would be another big blow against their competitive rivals. Is it too much to ask though?
Question marks are still there over the Tottenham back-line. Pochettino's squad selection had a few surprises with Jan Vertonghen's absence from the starting eleven a mystery. It was also a shock to see Christian Eriksen on the bench but then not quite so shocking to see how the Dane helped turn the tide of the game when he came on. The bookies are heavily favouring City here but I think it'll be a close run affair. I certainly think City are deserved favourites but I'd be surprised if more than a single goal separates these two sides.

    Valencia vs Real Sociedad
Ah, La Liga, it's good to be back you sexy little so-and-so. We start our previews for this season with Valencia playing at home to Real Sociedad in a 6pm BST kick-off this Saturday evening at the Mestalla. The home side will be looking to build on their 4th placed finish last season where as the visiting side will be looking to break into those European spots this season.
Valencia have been busy during the summer with the signings of big names such as Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City, Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo, Denis Cheryshev from Villarreal, and Jasper Cillessen from Barcelona. The only noteworthy departure was Simone Zaza to Torino so Marcelino has shaped his side up well for the coming season. If Barcelona and Real Madrid are vulnerable this season then could it be their year?
Real Sociedad missed out on the Europa League by just 3 points last season. Imanol Alguacil will be wanting to continue last season's end of campaign form where his side won 3 of their last 4 matches. The additions of Portu from Girona, Alexander Isak from Borussia Dortmund, Modibo Sagnan from Lens, and Alex Remiro from Athletic Bilbao have boosted the strength of the squad. It just depends how the club copes with the departure of winger Juanmi.
The visitors come to the Mestalla with an encouraging record having won 5 of their last 8 trips here. However, the majority of those results came when Valencia were undergoing some troubling times. Marcelino's men only suffered defeat twice at home last season so things have improved recently. I am backing Valencia to start their campaign with a win and if they begin the season well who knows where it will end up?
