  1. Querrey to beat Thiem at 2.20 with Bet365 Thiem does not like the grass courts and his performance in recent years is indicative. This year he only played 1 match and lost from Jarry at the Hurlingham Exhibition. On the previous Wimbledon he lost in the first round from Baghdatis and before that he was defeated by Sugita in Hale. Querrey was out of the courts for a long time, but on his return he reached the final in Eastbourne. He feels much more comfortable on grass and it will not be a big surprise if he wins here.
  2. Munar to beat Kecmanovic at 2.33 with Marathonbet Neither of the two players has grass success and it is a little surprising to me that Kecmanovic is considered the favorite. Munar showed good tennis on this surface last week against Coric as he was even close to winning the 1st set. Kecmanovic also performed well against Khachanov as lucky looser, but it is hardly a reason to be considered a favorite here. As I said these players do not play on their preferred surface and for me the odds should be more equal. I do not see any significant advantage for the Serb and 2.33 seems to be a good enough odd to play.
  3. Paraguay to beat Colombia at 2.80 with Unibet Colombia has already qualified and has nothing to play for. Paraguay on the other hand needs 3 points to qualify for the next phase. It is unlikely the Colombians will have anything against Paraguay qualifying instead of Argentina. Paraguayers played very strong on their last match and if they showed the same game against an unmotivated team they should win without a problem.
  4. Auger-Aliassime to beat Tsitsipas at 2.30 with Bet365 Tsitsipas almost lost yesterday from the French veteran Chardy, but eventually managed to beat him with two tiebreaks. He allowed four breaks and many break points. FAA was incredible against Dimitrov, served incredibly and then against Kyrgios not allowed to be break. The Canadian defeated both of his matches against Tsitsipas so far and I see no reason not to continue his winning way.
  5. Japan (+2 AH) to beat Uruguay at 1.91 with Unibet Both teams started the tournament in a totally different way. Japan lost heavily 0-4 by Chile, but they did not deserve to lose with such a result. They had 3-4 good opportunities to score but missed, as the Chileans scored after corner and after blocked shot the first two goals. Uruguay on his part started with a convincing victory over Ecuador by 4-0, but there was an early red card that facilitated their task. In the end I do not think the difference between these teams is so big, they met last year in a friendly match and the game ended 4-3 for the Asians.
  6. Struff to beat Khachanov at 2 with Unibet I was impressed today’s performance of Struff and his victory over Djere. He obviously continues his good performance from last week when he played the semi-final in Stuttgart. In the way he serves I think it will be very difficult to break through. Khachanov had some difficulties against Kecmanovic, but he still won. Struff looks more solid at the moment and he has a slight advantage here.
  7. Congratulations StevieDay1983, great work so far. 1 pick from me for today's matches. Peru (-1 AH) to beat Bolivia at 1.87 with Unibet Peru won against Venezuela in the first match and totally deserved the victory, but eventually the game ended 0-0. Given that the last game of the Peruvians is against Brazil now they will seek a mandatory victory against a unpretentious rival. Bolivia lost with 0-3 against Brazil, they are an outsider in this group and will most likely fight Venezuela for the third place, which can rank them ahead. For me Peru is much better team and surely will win here with more than 1 goal I guess. My call is 2-0.
  8. Djere (+1,5 sets) to beat Struff at 2.48 with Pinnacle I will try another unpopular bet, Jere has only 2 matches on the grass and has lost both of them. The Serb has made tremendous progress this year, he has a big service and I expect to be strong on this surface. FAA and Kecmanovic also did not have much success on grass, but played quite good matches. Struff reached the semi-final in Stuttgart last week and may be a little tired. It is good to note that so far he has not passed the first round in Halle and has 9 losses.
  9. Pella (+1,5 sets) to beat Goffin at 1,93 with Pinnacle Goffin is very far from his best days and I personally do not believe him when he's a big favorite. OK, he won 2 games last week, but he allowed it to be turned from Manarino, which is indicative of his shape. Of course, Pella is not a grass specialist, but last year he won against Cilic on Wimbledon, so on a good day he could be dangerous on this surface. I think he can win at least a set here.
  10. Garin led 4-0 in the tiebreak and managed to lose it. Very sad..😥
  11. Garin to win a set is good enough for me. Odds are around 2.
  12. Dzumhur (+1,5 sets) to beat Khachanov at 2.47 with Pinnacle Surprisingly Dzumhur plays well on the grass. Last year he won the title in Antalya, and here in Halle he was eliminated by G.Dimitrov, but he managed to take a set. The interesting thing is that in most of the Bosnian grass matches he managed to win a set and he rarely lost in recent years without winning a set. Khachanov has a lot of dropouts in the 1st round this year and I personally will not be surprised if this match is closer than the odds suggest.
  13. J.Sousa to beat H.Hurkacz at 2.37 with Pinnacle I do not see Hurkacz as a big favorite here, he is neither in very good form nor has a great experience on this surface. He played only 4 matches on the grass and lost 2 of them on ATP level. Sousa is quite inconsistent in his performance, but he has more experience on the green surface and has already played 3 games, winning 2 of them. I think the Portuguese should have a slight advantage, and the odd 2.37 seems like a good bet.
  14. Berrettini plays great tennis this week and beat much better players than A-A. The Canadian was lucky with the draw and the fact that Raonic gave up the semi-finals. I really find it hard to see A-A as the winner here, but good luck with your bets for this match 😉.
  15. Jarry to beat Gasquet at 2.11 with Pinnacle For the first time after returning from an injury treatment Gasquet won two consecutive games in row, but to be honest we must say that his opponents were not impressive - Kukushkin and Beden. Remain a lot of questioning about the French's physical condition and now he has less time to rest. Jarry recorded an impressive victory against Tsitsipas and overall this player has been making progress in recent months. With his big service he has a great chance to win here.
