I see Boardman is now the favourite at 7/2, although I know that means he wont necessarily win the race. Hopefully some of you got on when he was 10/1, fingers crossed it'll be a winner.

Only one winner at York and one in my Trixie today. My fun bets cost me about £4 at York which isn't bad and the rest created a loss of £13.80 on the day. Hence, it pays to look out for a successful top jockey or apprentice who is booked for a ride, especially when they do not usually ride them or have not been on the horse before.
I agree with this. All of my selections start with jockey and trainer and I go from there. I think if you have a good jockey, who is an experienced tactician, that means a lot, especially on longer races.
