I was looking at yesterday and today's racecards and i cant remember a previous Cheltenham festival that was so uncompetitive, 1:30 today 5 Mullins trained horses and 3 home trained, that is shocking, I also cant remember 5 odds on shots in the first 2 days or fields so small in previous festivals. If this is the best we can do then it doesn't bode well for the future of racing. I suspect looking at last years 2 year olds the flat is going to be of a similar vein. Even the handicaps have few runners compared to previous years. Well that's my bit of a rant for the day. what do others think?
You are correct, it is very uncompetitive.
So long as the all weather remains I am happy, that's where I make most of my money these days !
