gg-77 Posted August 8, 2010 Share Posted August 8, 2010 gg77's Turkish Super Leauge Mini Preview 2010/2011 This year is too hard to predict because last year Bursaspor became the 5th different champion of the Turkey and after that all teams start to believe they can achieve something like that so they created good teams. I believe at the end of the year it will be max 9 points between 1st and 6th. I will try to give mini preview about TSL. Trabzonspor They’ve got a solid squad with talented players and a mix of young and experienced ones. Last year they won the Turkish Cup and this year they already won a Super Cup, they beaten the champions Bursaspor. I think they have the best manager in the Turkey, Şenol Güneş. They kept the same squad with a couple of great additions. They got Arkadiusz Glowacki from Wisla a simple strong defender aged 31 and Jaja from Metalist Kharkiv a tall strong left footed striker aged 24 who can shoot vert powerful and great in the air. After Güneş Trabzon played very well last year. And this year i think they will improve. Their squad is very balanced they have no weaknesses especially after key transfers. Key Players: Onur Kivrak (GK) : I think he is the best young turkish goalkeeper. Serkan Balci (DR) : Attacking full back with great acceleration who always plays with decent level and sometimes does unexpected impact. Selçuk İnan (MC) : A complete midfielder who shoots well, dribbles well. Captain. Umut Bulut (FC) : He can press all day long he works like a bee and exhausts defenders. He doesn’t score much but he makes his friends score with ease. Yattara (AMR) : A tricky player and fans love him. He sure can does impact when he is fit but he is inconsistent. My prediction : 1st Fenerbahçe Last year we lost everything in finals, Championship and Turkish Cup. This year we have almost the same squad but we got a new manager, Aykut Kocaman. Kocaman loves to play with pacey players. He got 2 new faces Miroslav Stoch from Chelsea and Issiar Dia from Nancy. Both of them are very pacey players. They can play in both wings. But our problem is our midfield. We haven’t got any complete midfielder. We got attacking and defending midfielders so it pushes us to play in 60 meters. The squad has a solution for that Kocaman will find it but in the first weeks we will struggle a lot. I expect us to play better and better but i don’t think it will enought to secure the title. Key Players: Volkan Demirel (GK) : He says he is one of the top 10 goalkeepers in the world :eek Lugano (DC) : Insurance of the defence. Captain of Uruguay national team. Gökhan Gönül aka gg77 (DR) : He is the turkish Cafu. :dude Emre Belezoğlu (MC) : Aggressive midfielder with a lot of experiance. Alex (AMC) : Genius attacking midfielder he is 33 but he is stiil great because he can think very fast. He has a goal or asist ratio per 1.12 games in TSL.:notworthy My prediction : 2nd Beşiktaş They have the best attacking squad but their defence and midfield are not that good. They signed star players Quaresma from Inter and Guti from Real Madrid. And a new manager Bernd Schuster. I think Schuster and the new stars will not make it in the first year because Turkish style is way different then Europe. Like Fenerbahçe i expect them to perform better and better. They lost their primary defender Sivok to a long term injury. Schuster don’t want to play with their defender Matteo Ferrari. I think there will be a defensive problem for sure. But their attacking power is too good. Key Players: Ersnt (DMC) : Typical defensive midfielder. Quaresma (AML-AMR) : Star winger. Bobo (FC) : Primary forward one of the best in Turkey. My prediction : 3rd Galatasaray They lost Dos Santos, Leo Franco, Kader Keita, Jo, Nonda, Mehmet Topal. They got Pino from Monaco, Cana from Sunderland and Mehmet Battal from newly promoted Bucaspor. First of all their goalkeepers are bad. And their defence line is so slow. Midfield has lost power after Topal’s departure, Cana is worse then him. Also they want to sell Elano and get a forward. Rijkaard’s system is not working in Turkey but he will insist on that system he still thinks he is with Barça. Lucky for them they got the best turkish player Arda Turan. Also one of the best strikers in Turkey, Milan Baros. And a good attacking midfielder Harry Kewell. But their up front is limited for this reason i don’t rate them higher. Key Players: Servet (DC) : The one and only good defender from the squad Arda Turan* , Harry Kewell, Milan Baros My prediction : 4th Bursaspor Basicly i think they can’t handle TSL and CL at the same time. And the last year big guns were bad. But this year eventually they will be heart broken in the CL (i hope not) and it will effect heir league run. They kept the squad same with some transfers like Insua from Boca and a couple of young talented Argentinians. Key Players: Volkan Şen(AMR), Ozan İpek(AML), Sercan (FC), Ömer Erdoğan (DC) My prediction : 5th I expect a surprise from Eskişehirspor they got great potential especially in home games. Kayserispor, Gençlerbirliği and Gaziantep are always around upper mid-table. İ.B.B, Antalyaspor and Ankaragücü will be around the lower mid-table. And others will fight for the relegation. Good luck. I totally agree with you shef. I also offer beşiktaş -1. ( odds 2,4). We don't know much about Bucaspor but I don't think they can magane tto get draw or win. There have been many changes in Fener's team, and even with Niang coming in, it might take some time for them to play well together. Today only Baros, Arda and Kewell can change the game for Gala. Otherwise Bursaspor won't lose this game. They were a solid team last year. This year they are not that good but will have no problems for this match. So I don't think Galatasaray can win this game. I think Rijkaard will be sacked in near time. On the other hand again I will take Gala to win by one goal to cover.
