Re: WSOP Main Event Hand #14 - Jerry Yang Takes a 11.39 Million Pot Hand #14 - Lee Watkinson has the button in seat 5, Jerry Yang raises from the cutoff to 2.5 million, and Philip Hilm thinks for a few minutes before he calls from the big blind. The flop comes ah.gif10d.gif8s.gif, Hilm checks, Yang bets 3 million, and Hilm thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The turn card is the 3d.gif, Hilm checks, Yang moves all in, and Hilm folds. Jerry Yang takes the pot worth 11.39 million, and he has become our new chipleader. Note: Once again, Yang makes a very large opening raise. But that amount is correct. The big blind was 240,000, and Yang opened the pot for 2.5 million.

Re: WSOP Main Event Hand #15 - Philip Hilm Eliminated in 9th Place ($525,934) Hand #15 - Tuan Lam has the button in seat 6, Jerry Yang raises from late position to 1 million, and Philip Hilm thinks for about a minute before he calls from the small blind. The flop comes kd.gifjd.gif5c.gif, Hilm checks, Yang bets 2 million, and Hilm thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The turn card is the 2h.gif, Hilm checks, Yang bets 4 million, Hilm moves all in, and the crowd applauds as many of them rise to their feet. Now it's Jerry Yang's turn to sweat a big decision. But he only thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls with da.gifks.gif for top pair, top kicker. Hilm shows 8d.gif5d.gif for a pair of fives with a flush draw. Hilm needs to improve to stay alive. The crowd is shocked, but pleased to see an all-in situation. Moments before the river card is dealt, everyone falls silent. The river card is the 6c.gif, and there is a smattering of applause as Jerry Yang wins the pot with a pair of kings. Philip Hilm is eliminated in ninth place, earning $525,934. The next player eliminated will receive $585,699 for eighth place.

Re: WSOP Main Event Group Hug After Jerry Yang won the hand against Hilm, he ran over to his wife and family and embraced them all in a group hug. Yang had already taken over the chiplead before that hand started. After he busted Hilm, Yang is up to 34.5 million.

Re: WSOP Main Event Last 10 Hands: 11-20 Philip Hilm won Hands #11 and #13, but Jerry Yang took over the chiplead on Hand #14 after he won a 11.39 million pot off of Hilm. On the very next hand, Hilm busted out after he missed a flush draw. That was the first time today where two players were all in. It was also the first time in 15 hands that a hand went to the river. Yang added to his big stack and jumped out to a tremendous lead. He had almost 1/3 of the total chips in play. Hilm entered the final table as the chipleader and busted out 15 hands later. After losing Hand #14 to Yang, Hilm made an interesting call from the small blind with 8d.gif5d.gif after Yang raised 1 million. Hilm flopped bottom pair and a flush draw and waited until the turn to make a move. After Jerry Yang bet 4 million on the turn, Hilm shoved all in on a semi-bluff. Yang had been taking a long time to make decisions over the last few days. That instance, he called rather quickly with top pair and top kicker. Hilm did not improve his hand and he busted out of the WSOP main event on a failed semi-bluff. Hilm overaggressiveness cost him a shot at $8.25 million. Rain Khan woke up and won consecutive hands before Yang one another one on Hand #19.

Re: WSOP Main Event An Apologetic Yang It was a tense moment. Jerry Yang's A 9 versus Lee Watkinson's A 7. Lee Watkinson's fiancee was screaming and pleading for a seven. Yang's railbirds were hoping his hand would hold. The entire crowd in the Amazon Ballroom rose to its feet as the dealer burned and spread out the flop. Lee Watksinson's fiancee continued to plead for a 7 as the turn, then river were dealt. When Watkinson's hand did not improve, he slid off his hood and shook the hands of the rest of the players at the final table. After Jerry Yang busted Lee Watkinson, he ran over to his family for another group hug. When he returned to the table, he shook Watkisnon's hand and seemed almost apologetic. Watkinson leaned over and whispered something into Yang's ear and wished him luck. Yang is up to over 55 million. He has already busted two players. Down to 7
