GaF
Re: WSOP Main Event 4 minutes ago The First Bust Out of Day 1b One player raises to 300, another player reraises from a blind position to 1,600, and the first player calls. The flop comes 8-4-2, and the player in the blind position bets 3,000. His opponent min-raises to 6,000, and the first player moves all in. His opponent calls with 4-4 for middle set, and the first player shows J-J for an overpair. The next two cards are blanks, and the guy with pocket jacks (who was in the blind position) goes home as the first bustout of Day 1b. Yes, he went broke in the first ten minutes with pocket jacks, no set, no draw. According to the opening seating chart, the player eliminated was Timo Maymann. But we haven't been able to confirm that. 20 minutes ago Instant I.D. As 2006 World Champion Jamie Gold tried to enter the Amazon Room he found he didn't have his seat card. And as security won't let anyone inside without their seat card, that posed a bit of a problem. Gold wanted to go to the registration window but security wouldn't let him in without I.D. Well, there are HUGE posters of every Main Event champion hanging around the room and Gold reached inside the frame of the door, pointed up, and said, "Dude, look up, that's me!" Other people waiting outside the tournament room verified Gold's identity and the guard let him inside to get a new seat card. Sat, 07 Jul 2007 10:41:25 A couple hours to go.... There is only a couple of hours to go before the start of Day 1B. Yesterday there were 1287 starters for Day 1a. Rumor has it there will be quite a few more today.
