Market Rasen 7.10 Ashington 4/1

Market Rasen 8.15 Victory Echo 7/4

It’s hard to get away from the first two in the betting in the 8.15 race. Victory Echo is in good form with wins at 3m and is now upped to 3.4 miles. He seems to travel well and his jumping is usually slick, also likes to front run and it looks like he will set the pace without no hassle from the other 4 runners. I’m hoping if ridden right he can take the others out of their comfort zone. Coup De Pinceau is just behind on ratings and ran well last time out.

Yarmouth 4pm

United front

Win

Takes a drop in class here and without a win in turf may improve here after a couple of spins in the dirt in meydan. William Buick is the jockey.

Goddess of fire

Each way

Won last year after a break ( December to April ) and has been off since October this time. Up in class here and all to do but is ruden off a featherweight with claiming taking off seven pounds.

Mras

8.15

Victory echo

&

 first class return

Reverse forecast

should fight this one out. Victory echo had a front running win latest and is raised four pounds. Connor Rabbit's half stone claim covers that. Even though his claim negates it partially, he has still gone up in real terms.

Bottom weight first class return is pulled into this by the absence of the top weight  (traverse law) and being under several winning marks, has a shout here.

Fairyhouse 8.05

Gallows hill

Win

Ran a blinder last month and was clear of the field on "the wrong side "

Finished run out of it but identified as an outlier, being the only low drawn runner in the first 9 home. Billy Lee takes over in the saddle.

He'll need to settle this time, but Billy Lee should be able to slip him in and hopefully go clear of this huge field, all depends on the draw again....

Victory echo did it well enough.

Stepped up a further four furlongs, both of the horses following also had form over distances. First class return didn't look sound at times and was under pressure before jumping sharply right, and was pulled up. Had fallen last time out and was going further than before. That run may well have put him right for going back to shorter trips.....
