2.40 Yar - Special Mayson 13/8 - Beaten Fav on 1st run of the season, should come on for the run. Has won over 7f here (this is 6f), and handles the quick ground.

4.23 Yar - Ajrad 15/8 - Again beaten Fav on 1st run of season 10 days ago (All weather), handles the quick ground and wears a hood for the 1st time. Trainer William Knight is (2 wins, 3 placed, from 14 runners last 2 weeks). *** Trainer Chris Wall ( 4 wins from 7 runners) also has his only runner of the day here ( Hi Ho Silver) but is 10/1 and seems to be lacking market support, I would suggest keeping an eye out for a late move.

Further bets I am having are SMALL stake win double and EW double.

WIN DOUBLE - 4.05 Nott - Noon Star 10/11 - Is a Group class runner contesting a Listed race for the Stoute/Moore combo. The other selection is 5.15 Nott - Smiling Sunflower 15/8 - trainer Darryll Holland ( 2 wins, 3 placed from 9 runners) is in very good form and this 5 start maiden has its first run for the new stable. It drops in trip - could be the answer.

EW DOUBLE - 2.30 Nott - Australian Harbour 13/2 and 4.33 Brighton - Beau Geste 7/2 (Both are 1/5 3 places). Australian Harbour trainer Roger Varian ( 6 wins 7 place form 26 runners). The nagging doubt is that it will be available for handicaps after this but hopefully at least gets a place. Beau Geste (CD winner) trainer Tony Carroll is the top course trainer today, it is 5lb below the mark it has won off, and top course jockey (of those riding today) David Probert rides.

SHOCKING....talking of forecasts the 415 punchestown just shows how much the bookies have murdered them over the years, back in the day it was normal to add one point to the 2nd's sp and times them. look at that result 20/1 1st 100/1 2nd and it paid 382/1 under the old system it would have been over 2000 quid people these days who get that up would be delighted with the 382 not knowing that they have had their pants pulled down big style. nowadays given all the excuses the bookies have come up with to cut fc and tc's the minimum should surely be a bag of sand for going against a well odds on fav. @richard-westwood
