In the last week or so there have been 29 odds on favourites of which 27 have won. In the last 4 days there have been 14 consecutive winners. 

I don't make accumulator bets but these 14 winners have resulted in cumulative odds of 1,400 to 1.

Always appreciated.  One betting advisor was telling me that he could make decent money by backing favourites in an 80/20 ratio where he was using Betfair for the 80% Place bet and who knows for the 20% win bet. It occurred to me that both you and @roger2256 would have a better selection process and I wondered if either of you may think this to be a good idea which may produce a decent return for investment purposes.  Just a thought.

If there is an edge with the win odds then I would back the horse to win, if there was an edge with the place odds then I would back to place. I don't see any logic in an 80/20 split, why not 50/50, 60/40 etc.
