Sir Puntalot Posted September 15, 2017 Author Share Posted September 15, 2017 I've always been a big fan of Golovkin and I said years ago that he would clean up this division, and now he's on the brink of doing just that. He has unreal power at this weight and his KO record backs that up. Kell Brook was taken apart after a good start, despite Brook's natural weight being around this division anyway. Alvarez is solid, you just can't deny that, but there's just something so workmanlike about him that just doesn't grab fans attention. Mayweather dealt with him quite easily, and I think Golovkin's actual boxing skills are very much underestimated as he's very economical and accurate with the punches he does let go. Danshot Posted September 16, 2017 Share Posted September 16, 2017 I like Alvarez to win by points (9/4 Betway) but 8/1 is widely available on the stoppage , I know everyone thinks GGG has the power but Canelo has the superior skills and if they bang like we all hope maybe just maybe GGG body will be tested. Triple G won it by a couple of rounds, Alvarez wasn't doing nearly enough to get a decision. It's time judges get canned for scorecards like that. Danshot Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 I personally scored it 115-113 to GGG , is no way Canelo should of got more than a draw. 118-110 is an absolute disgrace , Nevada is supposed to be one of the best commissions so this should be looked into , that said its not the first time she has submitted a dubious scorecard.
