Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Well I think the obvious choice is Grimsby having opposed Southport for last 4 games not going to Change with them going away to Grimsbythey looked solid on say and think I was only chester fan cheering last min goal as had over 2.5 goals considering having Chester too feel we were tired on sat after the Derby and maybe targeting the game at telford I'll wait for team news tonight before deciding

Slow at the back, with a bit of pace you can get at them. Up top, Constable is not played as the target man he should be.

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th AFC Telford vs Chester over 2,2.5 with bet366 @ 11/20....Telford got their 1st home win(and win) of the season by beating 9 man Torquay 4-3 on Saturday.They have played 6 games at home and those games have yielded 29 goals.5 of the games went over and the other was a 0-2 loss to Aldershot.Of the other 5,one had 4 goals,2 had 5,one had 6 and one had 7.They have Gray and Phenix who have scored 8 between them and Telford have scored in 5 of their 6 league games and have failed to keep a clean sheet at home.8 of Chester's 12 games this season have gone over 2.5 and they have players who can trouble a poor Telford defence(33 conceded in 12 games)....

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Woking @ 1/2 generally....Most of the time I like to get value,I don't think there's much here but I tipped Norwich at a low price on Saturday and I'm going with the 'cards' tonight for the same reason....Goals.Nuneaton are the lowest scoring team in the conference with 6 goals in 12 games.Away from home it's even worse with a single goal scored in half a dozen games.Liam Daish is in charge now and no doubt he will try to change the way they play.He has already released Exodus Geoghan after just a few games but the team needs work at both ends.On the other hand Woking who already have Rendell(8),Sole(5) and Morgan(4)...(these 3 have 180 career goals between them) have resigned Ipswich youngster Marriott on loan.He scored 12 times for them in 22 appearances last season and scored on his debut on Saturday in their 2-3 loss to Kiddy.Both these teams have lost their last 3 games but I'm on the home side tonight to outscore their opponents....

Forest Green Rovers host Torquay tonight down at The New Lawn. This is FGR's second successive game on their home turf following their 1-2 loss at the hands of league leaders Barnet. FGR are a good team in this league and I expect them to be amongst the play-off contenders come the end of the season. I feel they were unlucky to lose their match (conceading in the 90th minute) to Barnet after they seemed to have recovered from a not so impressive run in the league by winning Halifax in their previous home game followed by a draw and win away at Eastleigh and Dartford respectively. While Torquay are looking a very impressive young team they had a hard match away at Telford on Saturday in which they spent most of the second half playing with 10 men and then went down to 9 right at the very end and lost the game 4-3 giving Telford their first win of the season. A.Downes (D 12/3) & T.Ajala (M 12/1) have played every game this season for Torquay but will both be absent tonight through suspension. The Gulls now have to go on their travels for the second time in 3 days, but this time without 2 important regular starters in their ranks. After their performance on Saturday and with the strong performances of the home side I think there is value is backing Forest Green to take all 3 points in this contest.

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Altrincham v Macclesfield I know Alan Algar is very keen on an away win tonight and although I won’t be going in as strongly as he has I certainly think they are worth backing, especially given the fact they have drifted. The concern I have is that Macclesfield were terrible on Saturday when losing to Lincoln and manager John Askey admitted that he needed more players as he had players missing. However as soon as you take a look at Altrincham’s form the away side have to be backed especially given they are over 2/1 on Betfair at the moment. There is no logical reason for anyone to back the home side given the awful run of form they are in. They have lost their last their last three matches 4-0, 5-0 and 4-0. That last one came against a Welling side who tend to struggle away from home. It is hard to know what has gone wrong since I tipped them up against Eastleigh when they went in front 3 times and ended up drawing. That does mean however that they have conceded 16 goals in their last four games and that makes Macclesfield a bet. Eastleigh v Bristol Rovers I tipped Rovers up on Saturday and they gained a 1-0 victory against out of form Southport, but they weren’t impressive and their other away win this season at Lincoln was slightly fortunate as well. Granted Eastleigh were awful against Wrexham on Saturday, but they have put in some rotten performances on the road this season and haven’t won away since the opening day of the season. At home they are unbeaten and I can’t understand why they aren’t favourites for this. At 9/5 with Skybet and Bet 365 they are worth backing.

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Woking v Nuneaton Fully agree with what luckotheoirish says on this game and as he also mentions I usually go for the handicap in these circumstances. Woking have lost their last three but played well in two very tough away games, whilst they were poor in the first half on Saturday, but were unlucky not to get a point against Kiddie in the end. I like Daish as a manager, but Saturday proved he has a lot of work to do and I doubt he has had a training session between now and then. I think they should cover the -1 handicap tonight which is 29/20 with Ladbrokes and Boylesports.

The database is now at 291 matches in which the short-handed side is away (Torquay away to FGR today is the 292nd), and 378 matches in which they're home in their next one. There aren't that many in which a side loses away with two or more men sent off and then plays their next one away...but those that have amassed a 4-14-26 record in their next match. There have been nine matches involving England lower leagues sides from Championship to Conference in which their next match is away...they've gone 4-3-2, with both losses by sides getting odds of 6.0 and up. Torquay is unlikely to win...all short-handed away sides are 55-82-154 (19% wins), but they may well draw, and as 5dimes is offering 3.52 for the draw, I'm on it.

Bet WON 2-1 It didn't start well as FGR went a goal down early on but managed to fight back and got the victory.

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Not a great evening for me but well done to Ricay who had over 2.5 goals in the Welling game, luckotheroirish had of 2.5 goals in the Telford match and a 90th minute winner landed the Woking bet, smurf had Forest Green and the best tip of the thread was jirwin with Rooney to score at anytime.

Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th Thanks addpea it helps Chester train at the uni everydaywhere I work do get to watch them practice set pieces all week Rooney was staying behind hitting free kicks just had feeling would get one will keep eye out see any set plays for welling game on Sat and see if can get another one
