Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Early thoughts are I quite like the look of Greeks to qualify. Some of you may remember I though the Greeks were underrated in the u20 World Cup in the summer and I think they are again under-rated here. They are the 2nd best team in the group on FIFA rankings, have a record of 18-6-5-37-14 in competitive matches since the last World Cup and went 8-1-1-12-4 in qualifying.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Main bet in this market for me at present is Chile to qualify, probably at the expense of Holland rather than Spain. Best price 6/5 at BetVictor just now. I watched an interview with Jorge Sampaoli and he is defiant that the team will play the way we've came accustomed to and not give up. They can be a terrific side to watch, and a difficult one to stop. They have many top players like Vidal, Sanchez, Matias Fernandez, Isla, Carmona, Medel, Eduardo Vargas and more, all at a very good age range. I watched an interview with Van Gaal and he came across rather pessimistic and only gave his side a 20% chance of reaching the quarters. Already speaking about an opening game defeat to Spain. I don't think they're side is good enough at the moment and it may be a couple of tournaments before they're challenging at the front again.

I think Chile to get out of the group is the bet of the tournament Scotty. Chile are an under-rated side, they are sublime in my opinion. This is one of the worst Holland teams I have ever seen. Ron Vlaar (Villa) and Fer (Norwich) have been starting for Holland, that shows how bad they are for a country of such history. Take the 6/5 and keep taking it.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Just take a look at Netherlands defensive line. One cannot trust a single player from there, except the goalie. Chile will tear that thing apart, they usually are able to win against sides with low-tier defensive lines. Plus, anyone who has watched the match against England and even the match against Germany where Low was booed after the match, even though Germany won 1-0. Chile to qualify is still @ 2.20 on some bookies, definitely take as much as you can for now.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group A: Croatia to qualify 2.00 bet365 5/10 In This group except Brazil who for me are main favorites to win the title i think Croatia is second best team. Mexico play an awful qualifiers and finished 4th place in CONMEBOL behind USA, Honduras and Costa Rica. I think mexicans have mediacore squad and have no chance against Croatia. Other team in this group is Cameroon. Times when Cameroon was real threat where long time ago in early 90's. When we see the team list they have only 2-3 world class players others are average and below. Croatia are big favorites for the second place in this group for me and odds like 2.00 have good value.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group F: Bosnia-Herzegovina to qualify 1.83 bet365 5/10. Bosna are the only debutant on this world cup. They make on of the biggest suprises in Europe qualifications and finish on the top of the group G. It's not the hardest group you can see but this was great success for new team like Bosna. Now they are in group F with Argentina, Iran and Nigeria. Obviously Argentina is main favourite in this group. Iran are one of the weakest teams on this tournament. Nigeria like Cameroon is not the threat like in past world cups. Bosnia is really hard working team and with players like Dzeko, Pjanic, Ibisevic and strong goalkeeper like Begovic they have all chance to qualify from this group.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Brazil to Win Group A + Argentina to Win Group F - 1.51 - 15 Points Argentina have by far the easiest group, logistically it is ideal as they are playing near their home country for all the group games. They have the best attack in the competition, Sabella has found a way to get the best out of Messi - which basically involves Aguero and Higuain taking defenders away and giving him space to exploit. Side looks settled and solid, Mascherano and Gago provide a solid base in midfield and with Di Maria enjoying probably the best season of his career at Real Madrid they look strong. The question marks are at the back and of course their poor record in the latter stages of the competition, Romero doesn't get a regular game at Monaco, Rojo plays left back by default because there is no-one better who can play there, but Garay is one of the best central defenders in the world and Zabaleta has had another great season for City. I was surprised to see 3 of the 6 Racing Post tipsters have backed them to win the competition as I can see someone doing a job on them in the latter stages but they are certainly a contender at a more appealing price than Brazil. Bosnia are playing in their first major tournament I can see the forwards enjoying themselves. Brazil have a tougher group on paper but I don't think Croatia are as strong as people think beyond Mandzukic (who is suspended for the game against Brazil) and Modric there isn't a huge amount there and they were poor in qualifying, Mexico only qualified thanks to a USA goal in injury time against Panama and Cameroon are in transition. Brazil should breeze through the group they have the support of the fans and a very strong defence to rely on, tournament winners are built on this and I have to say they have looked rock solid for a while, I rate Silva alongside Garay as the best there is in central defence and however ropey Luiz looks for Chelsea I've seen him have some fantastic games for Brazil. I can't see any way either Brazil or Argentina won't win their groups. Brazil Group Points - Over 7 - 2.2 - bet365 - 5 Points Argentina Group Points - 9 - 2.25 - bet365 - 5 Points Double - 4.95 - 3 Points As a rule of thumb in previous tournaments you can expect at least 2 sides to win 3 out of 3 in the group stages - Korea 2002 had Spain and Brazil, Germany 2006 Germany, Portugal, Brazil and Spain and South Africa 2010 had Holland and Argentina - you don't really get surprise packages racking up 3 wins in the group it is usually strong, established sides who are expected to go far in the tournament. It is a riskier bet as they might both already be guaranteed top by the last game and choose to rest key men but as Brazil have Cameroon last and Argentina have Iran I still think it's worth the play, well worth a double too. Spain/Chile Dual Forecast Group B - 2.87 - bet365 - 8 Points This is as much a bet against Netherlands qualifying for the next stage as I think they have been vastly overestimated by the bookies. Robben is a very good player but they are missing a key man in Strootman who Van Gaal rates so highly that he is likely to change their formation to cover his absence, Van Persie was top scorer in qualifying but has had another injury ravaged season and doesn't go into the tournament match fit, he scored 1 goal in both the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 in far superior sides so why will this tournament be any better? Van Der Vaart or Sneijder, both of them are past their peak and winding down their careers. Van Gaal doesn't know his best team and used 35 players during qualifying including 5 goalkeepers, the defence is made up of Eredivisie youngsters and I don't think they are prepared for this type of test. Chile are a very attacking side who press high up the pitch and create plenty of chances, you could certainly do worse than an outright play on them at 50/1. Their defence is a concern as they conceded plenty in qualifying but they beat England 2-0 at Wembley which isn't easy and battered Germany somehow losing 1-0, and drawn their last 2 away to Brazil so they are good side and stand a very good chance of going through imo. Vidal will be fit for the World Cup which is a massive boost and playmaker Valdivia was injured for a lot of qualifiers but should play a more prominant role in the side, Vargas and Sanchez are key men up front.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting I have done an accum, 5 teams to qualify. I think Croatia are very likely to Qualify from Group A, I have no doubt Brazil will probably win the group but Mexico have been terrible for the past 2 years now and I wouldn't have much confidence in them, they are very lucky to even be at the World Cup. I can't see Cameroon being much of a threat to Croatia either. Mandzukic will have a 1 game ban due to a red card he picked up in qualifying but he should be available for the Mexico & Cameroon games which will be vital. I really don't rate the chances of Holland at this World Cup at all personally. Yes they have Van Persie and Robben but that isn't much use if they have a limited supply. Their defence is very weak, Ron Vlaar of Aston Villa is probably their best defender and even Leroy Fer of Norwich starts for them. I am not trying to disrespect those players, but when you look at the star-studded sides the Dutch have put out over the years, this is really one crap side in comparison. Spain should have too much for them, and Chile will have all the ball against them and play at a very high intensity. I think the value of the tournament is Chile to qualify from the group. I have always been a fan of the Ivory Coast in recent years and I think they have suffered from extremely tough groups in 2006 and 2010. In 2006 they were drawn with Argentina and the Netherlands and in 2010 they had Brazil and Portugal. They now have a group with Greece, Japan and Colombia so I think they are a great bet to qualify from the group personally. They have some serious talent in their ranks which include Drogba, Kalou, Bony, Gervinho, Yaya Toure, Tiote, and Kolo Toure. Yaya Toure for me has been the 2nd best player in the world this season and they have great options up front. Uruguay should be pumped up for this world cup and although Suarez is a doubt at the moment, I think he will be fit to play in time personally. They also have Cavani who has had a good season for PSG and playing in South America they will be up for this bigtime. They are a proper World Cup side as they showed 4 years ago when they went far in the competition. They have England, Italy and Costa Rica in their group and none of those 3 games will be easy. Italy will fancy their chances and they have a balanced side but I think Uruguay will go through at the expense of England's inexperience. The last leg of my accum is Bosnia, who should be good enough to finish 2nd in the group at worst behind Argentina. I think people are under-estimating this side a bit, they are very good from some of the games I have seen and Edin Dzeko is a massive threat up front. With Iran and Nigeria the other two teams in the group, Bosnia will fancy their chances bigtime and 1.83 to qualify is a very decent price for me. Croatia to Qualify from Group A @ 2.10 Chile to Qualify from Group B @ 2.00 Ivory Coast to Qualify from Group C @ 2.00 Uruguay to Qualify from Group D @ 1.57 Bosnia to Qualify from Group F @ 1.83. 1 Point Accum @ 24.20 Betfair

I agree with all of those apart from Mexico. I think they are quite weak and I fancy them to finish bottom of the group.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group B. Spain & Chile to qualify 15/8 Group C. Colombia & Ivory Coast to qualify 2/1 Would like to include more in this bet but i will side with the two groups i feel most confident on. Im more confident with group B, Spain should go far in this tournament, i don't think they will win but can see them reaching the semis at least. People are dithering over who will grab the next qualifying spot and ive gone with Chile. I was at Wembley in November when we played them and although it was a friendly they made us look super ordinary and over there in South America they will be more accustomed to it, it will all be down to there last game against the Netherlands who i feel they will beat. Group C. Colombia are my favourites to qualify from the group. They did well in qualification finishing 2nd behind Argentina & they will not have to adjust to the climate. Who follows them out of the group is the one im not so sure on but ive gone with Ivory Coast they have such a strong team and feel they will beat Japan by a close score line when they play. Cheeky £10 on the double @ bet365 pays 7.62/1

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting

Hutcho' date=' I don't know how many times I have to pull you for reasoning. Next time I'll just delete your post, it doesn't take much to add a small bit of reasoning.[/quote'] Apologies. Straight forecast - Brazil Mexico 15/8 Mandzukic will be out for the first game which isn't the worst of games to miss as i expect brazil to win anyway. Mexico have a solid team and whilst none of their individual players are not as good imo as the likes of modric and Mandzukic. Mexico have more of the "good" level of players and are a better team. I expect it to be close between the two, but mexico will also not mind the heat which could well be a factor. Brazil to top the group is kind of the obvious answer as i don't think they will slip at home in the groups, and i expect them to win all 3 fairly comfortably. Straight forecast - Spain Chile 10/3 Chile has been touted by many as the best bet of the groups with the Netherlands perhaps over-rated by some. The netherlands have a couple of big names in RVP and Robbern but Van der vaart is now out which will be a bit of a loss for them. Chile are the dark horse for many and have a lot of quality throughout. Again i expect the favourites Spain to top the group which is why i went for the straight forecast, but it wouldn't be surpising of Chile managed to top the group. Straight forecast - France Switzerland 5/2 My personal best bet of the groups. France are close to a lock to go through and should be able to top this group comfortably which is one of the weakest. Switzerland are no mugs however and should have enough to overpower the weaker teams in this group (Ecuador and big underdogs honduras). My worry in this group would be the heat, though pretty much none of the players play in switzerland so it shouldn't be too much of a problem, though the ecuador and honduras team should have no problem with the climate. Win the group - Colombia 4/5 Ivory coast and Japan will be threats here to top this group, and i expect it to be closely fought with even Greece being able to take points of some of the bigger teams. With the exception of Greece, Group C contains teams with a lot of attacking talent ( Colombia are stacked at striker, Ivory coast has Drogba, Doubia, Bony, Kalou, Yaya etc, and Japan have a lot of creativity in midfield with Honda and Kagawa), but not so much in defence, but i think Colombia wil pull through. I will be nervous about this one however if Radamel Falcao loses his race to be fit. Win the group - Italy 13/8 Our group is another that will be tightly contested. Italy to me seem a level above ourselves and Uraguay and i expect them to win the group and the rest to be a battle for third. With it being so tight any of the 3 could well be top here and it wouldn't be too surprising but think 13/8 represents good value. All with Ladbrokes.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Iran and Costa Rica to finish bottom of their groups 10/11 @ Coral - Costa Rica are in a very difficult group with England, Italy and Uruguay and are the weakest team by some distance. Iran have an easier group with Argentina, Bosnia and Nigeria but i cannot see them finishing anywhere but bottom of the group. Bosnia proved they are a good side in qualification and are solid defensively and have the likes of Pjanic, Dzeko and Ibisevic in attack. Nigeria have some Premier League players in their side with John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and others and have recent experience in the World Cup. Iran's squad on paper is very poor and has only one Premier League player in Dejagah. They struggled in 2006 picking up just 1 point and i can't see them doing any better this time even with an experienced manager in charge. Highest Scoring Group: Group B (Spain, Netherlands, Chile, Australia) 5/1 @ William Hill I can see this group being the high scoring group because there is so much attacking talent on show. Chile's style of play means that they will certainly score goals with Sanchez leading the way but they will also concede and are vulnerable defensively. In qualifying Chile scored 29 goals and conceded 25 in 16 games (an average of nearly 3.4 goals per game). Netherlands are fairly strong in attack with the likes of Robben and Van Persie but are weak defensively and Chile and Spain should get goals against them. Spain are typically an underish team with a solid defence, however i can see them scoring a few against all of these teams because neither Australia, Chile or Holland are defensively strong. Australia are likely to be the whipping boys of the group and should concede at least 2 against all of the other 3 teams you would expect. All in all i can see lots of goals in this group and 5/1 seems like a decent price for Group B to be the highest scoring group.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Aside from Robben and Sneidjer nothing about the Dutch team makes me think that is a strong team. Chile should capitalise. Also, I predict that Ghana will surprise people and Portugal will fail to get out of the Group. A real one man team that doesn't look dangerous outside of Ronaldo. I agree with those going with the same thought for the Dutch. Can get some good odds on that. I had a look and a Spain/Chile and Germany/Ghana double is tasty. Around 20/1 I think.

Some of you may remember I though the Greeks were underrated in the u20 World Cup in the summer and I think they are again under-rated here. They are the 2nd best team in the group on FIFA rankings' date= have a record of 18-6-5-37-14 in competitive matches since the last World Cup and went 8-1-1-12-4 in qualifying.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting LOL that Prandelli left home Giuseppe Rossi, after Pepito has make mortals jump to recover in time for WC. In last months Prandelly was saying more and more times "We are waiting Giuseppe at open arms" "Giuseppe is so important for us..." ,,then he recover in time, he scored 2 goals in 3 matches in last serie a scheduling, you call him in the 30 of preconvocation; and then you left him home!!! I strongly suggest Prandelli to have a visit to a specialist, he has lack of respect for a classy player that it is an example of professionalism and I think this is a BIG mistake of Prandelli. Also i suddenly do not respect him and in general I do not like italy team at all. England does not have a classy team overall but I am sure can do damage to this Italy (Motta in midfield is a joke IMO, Paletta in defense also is a mistery). Upfront we have Balotelly that was SHIT this year, do not know it was doing for the WC , but for me he is a immature guy and will fail in this WC. Cassano seems in good form, Immobile , Cerci and Insigne are bets. Midfield probably is the best repart of Italy with veteran Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Verratti, Candreva, Aquilani (hmm not so good but can be a good replacement). Defense also should be good with Juventus duo in center, but i have strong doubt about De Sciglio, Darmian and Abate. However, after this bad behavoiur by Mr Prandelli, I am strongly going against Italy, this behavoiur has generated in me a sense of disgust versus him. Rossi was not so bad in test, and obviously he was making careful approach in order to arrive safe to WC!!. I hope Italy, yes my nation, to crash and make another big failure at WC, and send this stupid and loser CT at home!!. I will back Uruguay and England to pass from this Group at decent price of 3,25 in WH. On other groups i choose Brazil and Croatia in one (but will make a second bet with Brzil and Cameroon), then Colombia and Ivory Coast, Spain and Chile, Argentina and Bosnia, Belgium and Russian, Francia and Ecuador, Germany and Portugal. However mosst of the groups are Tricky to forecast, Let me say that Greece, Japan, Nigeria, Nederlands, Swiss , the same Italy, can all qualify to expense of somebody else! Gl to all!!

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group A: Croatia to qualify @ 11/10 (Betfair) > 5% BR Agree with RIOT88 and Aidymac on Croatia to qualify. Granted Nico Kovac hasn’t been coach for long but I feel the change should do the team good after a fairly lackluster qualifying campaign under Igor Stimac. Croatia have some really decent players and I’m looking forward to seeing Mateo Kovacic in particular. I think they have the quality and perhaps now a bit of momentum aswell with the change in management. Aidy has already talked about Mexico and I completely agree. They were very lackluster in qualifying but for me they don’t have much cutting edge either. Their playing style and physical conditioning means they will be better suited to the heat than Croatia but this should only become relevant as the tournament progresses. Should also be noted that Mexico play all 3 of their group games in the tropical zone while Croatia only have to play 2. Cameroon should be tough to break down but probably not enough attacking threat to progress. At odds against, Croatia is a nice play here imo. Group C: Ivory Coast to qualify @ EVS (Betfair) > 5% BR Again, a few people already on this and I think it’s a decent play. Group C is pretty interesting but you have to feel Ivory Coast and Colombia have the most quality. I think it will all come down to attitude and approach in this group, for a number of Ivory Coast players this will be their last world cup and hopefully this will give them the additional psychological motivation to progress to the knockout phase. Colombia will have the better of it conditions wise but are of course without key striker Falcao. Ultimately they should qualify but it’s now unlikely to be by a huge margin which will encourage their group rivals. Japan should have decent fitness and industry but I can imagine Ivory Coast doing them on set-pieces, it will be a mismatch in terms of physicality. I’m not underestimating Greece, they will be really hard to beat and have done well in previous international tournaments so you shouldn’t write them off. Maybe lacking just that little bit of quality required but we shall wait and see. Group D: Italy eliminated at the group stage @ 13/8 (Betfair) > 5% BR The brain says no no but the gut says yes yes, it’s controversial but I think Italy could end up in trouble here. The Azzurri will have to traverse large distances between group games due to where they are based whilst also facing nightmare tropical conditions in the games against Costa Rica and Uruguay. In my view they will have to beat England in the opening game to give themselves a decent chance and I don’t think it will be all that easy for them tbh. Yes they have a nice central median with players who can keep the ball but can they break teams down and get the goals required when the heat’s on? This is another question. I expect Italy to be smart and quick on the counter (an area where England can be vulnerable) but because England V Italy is the opening game I think Hodgson will be shrewd enough to shut up shop for 70 mins then bring on Barkley to try and nick a goal in the last 20. It’s still a risky play as I’m not a huge fan of this current Uruguay team, they’re industrious and of course have Suarez and Cavani but after that not much. Ultimately, conditions may play into the Uruguayan’s hands and in a tight group it will be things like this that can make the difference. Italy have next to no chance of winning the world cup imo, I will go one further and back them to exit early. Group B: Group with most goals @ 4/1 (Betfair) > 5% BR Ok so Australia will do their best to make things a yawn feast in this group, Mile if you’re reading this, which you wont be, I’m sorry. But, a group with Chile and the Netherlands in it could potentially be hilarious in terms of goals. Spain maybe a little more conservative overall, but considering two thirds of the opposition, this group has goals written all over it. Expect wave after wave of attack followed by counter attack with some very decent finishers arriving on the end of things. Group F: Group with most goals @ 9/2 (Betfair) > 5% BR I feel Argentina, Bosnia Herzegovia and Nigeria will all do their bit to provide some goals here. Argentina and Bosnia Herzegovia in particular due to their attacking menace and weak defenses. Iran will be the only party poopers with a defensive and organized setup but even so I think there could be a fair amount of goals in this group. Group D most goals @ 5/1 is tempting but shrewd managers, high quality and tropical conditions means I will swerve. Group G most goals @ 5/1 may tempt some but ridiculous conditions and mounting injuries will probably mean less goals than people were expecting here. Best to avoid imo.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group B preview: 5pts Netherlands NOT to qualify 5/4 Paddy Power The pick of the bets in this group for me is the Netherlands not to qualify. I don’t think they match up in the same league as Spain or Chile who I expect to fill the top two places. Defensively they look very weak and it wouldn’t be the Dutch if there wasn’t an in house issue which leaks out along the way. I’m surprised they are odds against to fall in this group to be honest but that’s a bet I’m more than happy to take. Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group C preview: 4pts Japan to qualify from Group C 6/5 Stan James I really like the idea of Japan to qualify from this group. The tempo they play at is good to watch and while they might ship a goal or two I would fancy them to create a lot of chances and expose opposition defences. The likes of Shinji Kagawa, Keisuke Honda, Shinji Okazaki and Maya Yoshida all play at big clubs so the big stage shouldn’t faze them and at odds against Japan are my picks to qualify from this section. Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group G: USA points in group stage - under 2.5 @2.02 with Pinnacle I really can't see USA grabbing more than 2 points here. Germany and Portugal are simply too strong for them and they will definitely loose at least one of these match-ups. On the other hand Ghana is so unlucky to be in this group, because they have a decent squad with several experienced players. I would not be even surprised to see them qualifying with some luck. Ghana will play USA in the first match, and will be very concentrated and fired up, so I don't think they will loose that one.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Group A: Mexico points in group stage - under 3 @2.80 with bet365 Mexico will face Cameroon first and it will be probably the most important match for both countries. Therefore, I really can see that finishing with a draw. Next round, Mexico will face the hosts, a match they will more than probably loose. Finally, Croatia seems to be a solid side and I don't think they will loose against Mexico. At these odds - in my opinion - it really worth a shot that the Mexicans won't grab 3 points in their group.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting To Finish Bottom of The Group: Double on Honduras and Iran @ 2.27 Bet365 (4 Points) Both Honduras and Iran are in tough groups and I think they will struggle to chalk up more than a point each. I think the strategy from both sides will be ultra defensive and to hope for the odd goal on the counter. But when you look at the opposition they are up against its difficult to see them being successful. We saw Honduras frustrate England the other night but they created very little at the other end and on another day would have been punished. They will be up against France, Switzerland and Ecuador who could be their best chance for 3 points. I rate Ecuador as having the better squad though and think they will be a bit more adventurous going forward. They are looking weak at the back but I would fancy them to out score Hondurous who I see as one of the poorest teams in the tournament. Iran look to face an even tougher task up against Argentina, Bosnia and Nigeria. They did brilliantly to qualify and will no doubt try and grind out a couple of draws. But all of the opposition look to have too much firepower and Iran may well do well to pick up a solitary point. Theres a slight danger of Honduras beating Ecuador but overall I'm quite confident that this will be a winning double and see both sides finishing bottom of their respective groups.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting Iran and Australia to score 0 points around 7/1. Various. Better to put in the individual games than take the (to score 0 points line) Australia will be completely outclassed in a group containing 3 high powered attacks. They will do their best to keep things tight but all 3 teams should be able to break through and they are effectiveky sitting ducks in group B. Iran is more of a gamble. Argentina should walk it and Bosnia should be able to overpower them. The crucial game comes down to Nigeria who were disapointing vs the US, although the US did perform pretty well and are a class above Iran. Iran's stats look amazing since 2010 (0.44 goals conceded per game - lowest of all 32 teams etc), but they are playing in a group with Uzbekistan, Qatar and the lebannon, and played games vs Bahrain. Which makes those stats completely useless as a reference point. They did beat south Korea twice 1-0, so are no walkovers, but the nigeria team has a lot more talent (when they aren't blatently match fixing :unsure).

I like the look of this bet. Best current odds are 3.3 with youwin. I am a bit surprised that Greece are the longest odds to 'concede least goals' in the group - 5.5 with Paddy Power and William Hill. They conceded 4 in their 10 games in the World Cup qualifying group (albeit against some poor attacks). They've conceded 3 in 4 friendlies this year - against decent sides in South Korea, Portugal, Nigeria and Bolivia. Their recent defensive record looks better than Japan's and Ivory Coast's and almost as good as Colombia's.

Re: World Cup 2014 > Qualify from Group Betting 8pts Group C - Ivory Coast to qualify @ 2.00 WilliamHill Group C has Colombia, Ivory Coast, Japan, Greece in it. After Colombia, I feel the team with the strongest squad is Ivory Coast and with the likes of W.Bony, Drogba and Yaya Toure in their side, I think they will be a force to be reckoned with, especially after the season Yaya Toure has had. 8pts Group F - Dual forecast - Argentina/Bosnia @ 2.00 Coral Argentina are favourites to win the group. Looking at the rest of the teams: Bosnia, Nigeria and Iran, the team with the strongest squad appears to be Bosnia to me. With the likes of Dzeko leading from the front, scoring against the likes of Iran and Nigeria should not pose too much for the Bosnians. In the two friendlies they played, they beat Mexico 1-0 and Ivory Coast 2-1. Sure, Mexico looked the much better side in that game, but I was impressed with Bosnia's ability to keep Mexico out for the rest of the game.
